  • In manual inspection of Lead Screw of computers many workers are needed to inspect samples, and its main disadvantage is that such types of inspection system not only gives low production, but also gives low perfection. Besides, in manual inspection system, the inspection cost of samples is higher than that of the automatic inspection system. Therefore, in this study to compensate these shortcomings, an automatic inspection system is developed. For the inspection of the surfaces and different dimensional parameters of computer Lead screw, a $360^{\circ}$ rotating machine vision system is developed. From the detailed analysis of the inspection results using the present developed inspection system, it is observed that the developed Lead Screw automatic inspection system is superior to those of manually inspection system.

  • The amount of UCCs (User Created Contents) has been increasing rapidly and is associated with a serious copyright problem. Automatic logo detection in videos is an efficient means of overcoming the copyright problem. However, logos have varying characteristics, which make logo detection and recognition very difficult. Especially, there are frequent logo transitions in a video, comprising several video contents. This disrupts accurate video segmentation based on logos. Therefore, this paper proposes an accurate logo transition detection method for recognizing logos in digital video contents. The proposed method accurately segments a video according to logo and efficiently recognizes various types of logos. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method for logo detection and video segmentation according to logo.

  • Lane detection with the use of a camera is an essential task required for the development of advanced driving assistance system. In this paper, edges of the lane are generated by applying Canny's method. The edge detection usually makes different results for several environmental conditions depending on the clearness of lane quality, so that it sometimes causes wrong lane detection. Therefore, we propose robust algorithm to environmental changes that automatically adjusts parameter for edge detection and generates edges more stably. Based on the acquired edges, we finally generate the spline curve of lane by using Catmull Rom spline.

  • In this paper. we propose the method of Scene Change Detection for video sequence using the DC components and the moving vectors in the Macro Blocks in the DCT blocks. The proposed method detects the Scene Change which would not be related with the specific sequences in the compressed MPEG domain. To do this. we define new metrics for Scene Change Detection using the features of picture component and detect the exact Scene Change point of B-pictures using the characteristics of B-picture's sharp response for the moving vectors. In brief, we will detect the cut point using I-picture and the gradual scene changes such as dissolve, fade, wipe, etc. As a results, our proposed method shows good test results for the various MPEG sequences.

  • In this paper, an algorithm based on Snakes is proposed to detect the boundary of 3D images. From the first-slice MR image, the boundary of an object is detected manually. The detected boundary points are used as initial control points for detecting the boundary of the next MR image. To detect the boundary from the rest of MR images automatically, an energy term using spatial correlation between adjacent images is added to the Greedy Snakes energy formulation. A measure of shape similarity called BMD was used to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed algorithm. The average BMD value for the proposed algorithm's result is higher than Greedy algorithm's showing the utility of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we propose a new algorithm which can detect Mura in TPT-LCD effectively. Since Mura in TFT-LCD has a certain area shape, it is seen as a sin wave in a LCD line. Consequently, it is shown that this type of Mura can be detected easily through FFT. Even multiple size of Mura patterns exist, those patterns can be detected with multi-point FFT. Proposed algorithm can be utilized in automatic Mura detection systems instead of human Mura detection methods.

  • To optimize the performance of software programs, it is important to know certain hardware parameters such as the CPU speed, the cache size, the number of TLB entries, and the parameters of the memory subsystem. There exist several ways to obtain the values of various hardware parameters. Firstly. the values can be taken from the hardware manual. Secondly, the parameters can be obtained by calling functions provided by the operating systems. Finally, hardware detection programs can find the desired values. Such programs are usually executed on PC or server systems and report the CPU speed, the cache size, the number of TLB entries, and so on. However, they do not sufficiently detect the parameters of one of the most important parts of the computer concerning performance, namely the memory bank layout in the memory subsystem. In this paper, we present an algorithm to detect the memory bank parameters. We run an implementation of our algorithm on various embedded systems and compare the detected values with the real hardware parameters. The results show that the presented algorithm detects the cache size, the number of TLB entries, and the memory bank layout with high accuracy.

  • In this paper, the prototype of one-channel gamma-ray spectroscope for automatic radiopharmaceutical systhesis system was designed and characterized. The prototype employed CZT (CdZnTe) spear detector for gamma-ray detection and employed analog-type signal processing method. A radioactive sample Co-60 was used for measuring performance of the gamma-ray spectroscope and energy spectrum is gained with bandwidth of 1173keV. The analog board is made up of SF (shaping filter) and PHA (peak and hold amplifier) for shaping CZT output signal appropriately and ADC (analog to digital converter) and FPGA (field programmable gate array) for drawing gamma-ray spectrum by counting the digitalized gamma-ray signal data.

  • In this paper, we identify the code vulnerabilities that can be automatically detected through Visual Studio (VS) compiler and code analyzer based on a secure coding rule set which is optimized for development of battlefield information system. Then we describe a weak point item that can be dealt with at the implementation stage without depending on the understanding or ability of the individual programmer's secure coding through the implementation of the secure coding library. Using VS compiler and the code analyzer, the developers can detect only about 38% of security weaknesses. But with the help of the proposed secure coding library, about 48% of security weaknesses can be detected and prevented in the proactive diagnosis in the development stage.

  • The recognition of current position and road surrounding of car is very important to driver for safe driving. This paper presents the recognition technique of the road traveling environment using position information hiding and viewpoint transform that monitors the information of road furniture and signature and notifies them to driver. The proposed scheme generates the road images into which the position information are hided, from car camera and GPS module and provides the road information to driver through the viewpoint transformation and the road signature detection. The driving tests with camera and GPS module verified that the position information hiding takes about 66.5ms per frame, the detection rate of road signature is about 95.83%, and the road signature detection takes about 227.45ms per frame. Therefore, we know that the proposed scheme can recognize the road traveling environment on the road video with 15 frame rate.
