  • A neutral section is installed around feeding substation(SS) and sectioning post(SP) that M phase and T phase are isolated in AC feeding system. Electric Train under "Notch-OFF" is operated by inertia within the neutral section. It causes disturbing the operation of electric trains for speed drop and driver's mistakes. A automatic changeover system with thyristor recently have taken under development.   • 무선통신을 적용하여 최첨단 무인자동운전을 구현하기 위하여 기존 고정폐색의 신호시스템과 달리 무선에 의한 양방향 통신을 기본으로 하는 이동폐색시스템인 CBTC(Communication Based Train Control) System을 적용하고 있다. 이를 구현하기 위하여 열차의 위치를 검지하는 기법으로 TOA(Time of Arrival)을 적용하였으며 이를 토대로 시험선의 선로변에 설치한 무선기(Wayside Radio Set : WRS)와 차량에 설치된 차상 무선기(Vehicle Radio Set : VRS)가 무선통신을 수행하고 지상에서 측정거리 결과로부터 열차의 위치를 계산되는 것이다. 이는 경로A의 다중주행 결과로부터 WRS와 VRS간의 거리에 따라 비례하여 증가하는 것을 확인하였고 아울러 측정거리지점에서의 품질이 우수함을 확인하였다.

  • The goal of this paper is to develop freeway Origin-Destination (OD) demand estimation model using real-time traffic data collected from Freeway Traffic Management System (FTMS). In existing research, the micro-simulation models had been used to get a link distribution proportion by time process. Because of hi-level problem between the traffic flow model and the optimal OD solution algorithm, it is difficult for the existing models to be loaded at FTMS. The formulation of methodology proposed in this paper includes traffic flow technique to be able to remove the bi-level problem and optimal solution algorithm using a genetic algorithm. The proposed methodology is evaluated by using the real-time data of SOHAEAN freeway, South Korea.

  • As a part of NERI:;, Truck Shipment Safety Information is divided into Optimal Route Guidance system and Emergency Response system. This study which is for developing of Truck Shipment Incident Emergency Response System intends to prevent or early response damage caused by incidents through realtime monitoring about the position and the state of Hazard material transport truck. For this, we divide it into three scenarios; realtime monitoring, management of incidents, information provision to related organizations and present functional requirements and architecture coming with each scenario. As a result of the first step among total three steps, it would able to not only realtime management of trucks but also guide for auto-enforcement or management about illegal act like dumping scrapped material. It is now under examination about position of detection and technology of communication to application. From now on, it is expect to test in the range of Metropolitan after selecting appropriate technology.

  • In this paper, we propose human detection and fuzzy temperature control system for energy reduction of cooling device in elevator. In order to improve problems of existing cooling device using the refrigerant, energy reduction and efficient management are continuously achieved because of operation of thermoelectric cooling device using the human detection and fuzzy temperature control system. The proposed system confirms the number of passengers in elevator and temperature is then controlled by those numbers and an average temperature for the season in fuzzy system. The human detection method scans the number of passengers using a head part as a feature based on bird's-eye view camera in elevator. The fuzzy system determines elevator internal temperature considering atmospheric temperature and the scanned passenger numbers as a look-up table. The proposed system reduces energy of the cooling device through the human detection and temperature control. In experiment, energy reduction is confirmed and the performance of the proposed system is verified.

  • A directional feeding method at the railway transformer is applied for supplying the power to the electric railway substations, and the pre-installed facilities with common feeder are utilized in preparation for the failure of feeding system and in finding a fault location in case that the catenary failure occurs. However, it is some difficulty in finding the fault location since there is an interface problem with the facilities when the supplying power system operates. In this paper, Auto Fault Locator Transfer Drive System (ALTDS) is designed to search for the fault location efficiently, and the measuring data are obtained and compared with the KORAIL standards. Further, the ground connection test is accomplished 24 times as the verification method, and it is shown that the methodology provides better performance than the existing traditional one.

  • This paper suggests a new system based on image-processed information which is designed to control traffic light by measuring two-way traffic at the same time with a surveillance camera. With this system, the existing way of using one camera for one lane or loop coil will be improved to the more effective way of using only one camera to monitor a two-way, 8 lane roads statistically. Car images can be detected clearly even in irregular condition because of the background updating in real time. In addition, more accurate measurement is possible to users by selecting extra attention-needed regions. The automatic traffic light controlling algorithm, suggested in this paper, will prevent users and drivers from wasting their time and energy by controlling the number of traffic in advance.

  • Traffic information can be broadly categorized into point information and spatial information. Point information can be obtained by chocking only the presence of vehicles at prespecified points(small area), whereas spatial information can be obtained by monitoring large area of traffic scene. To obtain spatial information by image processing, we need to track vehicles in the whole area of traffic scene. Image detector system based on global tracking consists of video input, vehicle detection, vehicle tracking, and traffic information measurement. For video input, conventional approaches used auto iris which is very poor in adaptation for sudden brightness change. Conventional methods for background generation do not yield good results in intersections with heave traffic and most of the early studies measure only point information. In this paper, we propose user-controlled iris method to remedy the deficiency of auto iris and design flame difference-based background generation method which performs far better in complicated intersections. We also propose measurement method for spatial traffic information such as interval volume/lime/velocity, queue length, and turning/forward traffic flow. We obtain measurement accuracy of 95%∼100% when applying above mentioned new methods.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to automatically extract information on underground facilities using a general-purpose smartphone in the process of applying the mini-trenching method. Method: Data sets for image learning were collected under various conditions such as day and night, height, and angle, and the object detection algorithm used the R-CNN algorithm. Result: As a result of the study, F1-Score was applied as a performance evaluation index that can consider the average of accurate predictions and reproduction rates at the same time, and F1-Score was 0.76. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that it was possible to extract information on underground buried materials based on smartphones, but it is necessary to improve the precision and accuracy of the algorithm through additional securing of learning data and on-site demonstration.

  • 본 연구는 고속도로에 설치된 CCTV 카메라에서 교통량, 속도, 점유율 등의 교통정보를 수집하기 위하여 검지영역을 자동으로 설치하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 교통정보센터에 설치된 콘트롤러에서 CCTV 카메라의 Pan, Tilt, Zoom 요소값을 보내면 이 값만큼 CCTV 카메라가 panning, tilting이 되고, 이에 따른 변화된 영상이 교통정보센터로 전송이 된다. 기존의 연구로는 영상 내에서 도로를 추출하기 위하여 차 영상(difference image)에 의한 도로추출방법과 윤곽선 추출방법에 의한 도로추출 방법이 있으나, 전자는 도로를 추출하는데 있어서 시간이 많이 소요된다는 문제점이 있으며, 후자는 정확한 도로를 추출하지 못한다는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 우선 각 차로 상의 직선의 방정식을 구하고, 이 직선의 방정식에서 CCTV 카메라가 Panning, Tilting하는 중심점을 찾은 다음 CCTV 카메라의 Pan, Tilt 값에 의하여 3차원상의 원근비율에 따라 각 차로 별 좌표변환방법을 이용한다. 본 연구를 위한 실험은 고속도로 기흥IC에 15m 높이로 설치된 CCTV 카메라에서 영상을 캡쳐하였으며, 차후 교통량, 속도, 점유율 등 교통정보를 산출하는데 처리 속도를 고려하여 영상의 해상도는 640480픽셀과 256명암값에서 계산되었다.
