As the consumption of fishery products continues to increase, aquaculture industry has emerged instead of fishing industry facing limitations of fish stock resources. Recently, smart fish farming industry has rapidly developed through convergence with 4th Industrial Revolution technology. Accordingly, it is important to derive a future model of smart fish farming platforms in order to secure the superiority of the aquaculture industry and the technology standard hegemony. In this study, the future direction of smart fish farm platform was derived through the analysis of environment related to politics, economy, society, and technology related to smart fish farming by applying PEST methodology of macro-environment analysis. It is expected that it will help the public and industrial circles in planning and implementing related projects by including the entire process of value chain of aquaculture industry of breeding, production, management and distribution, and by presenting advanced models based on artificial intelligence and digital twin.
An Altari radish pre-processing system, which feasible to process automatically such operations as leaf and root tail cutting and root peeling, for kimchi production was accomplished based on the foregone serial studies. In this study, the performances of the developed prototype machine, considered as a commercializing level, were analyzed and evaluated. The prototype machine attached Tiny PLC automatic control system was performed the sequent function as the rate of successful peeling was more than 98% for the Altari radish less than 70 mm diameter of a radish. The operating efficiency of this was 9 see/each, 128 kg/h, and it means as much as $5{\sim}6$ times that of a woman labor's. The sanitation and taste of the mechanized-processed Altari radish kimchi was almost same as that of the handmade. And they were suitable for manufactory of kimchi as the both short term ripening and storing kimchi. Developed machinery with one peeling device and two peeling devices that compared with hand processing, it was analyzed that the break-even yearly working days were 28 days and 19 days, and the break-even yearly processing amount were 28,700 kg, 32,400 kg, respectively.

This paper propose a heuristic method that divides the block into some work regions to operate stacking cranes efficiently in a automated container terminal where the blocks with non-crossing stacking cranes(SC) are laid out in perpendicular to the quay. Typically, fund over between SCS and trucks occur at each side if the blocks, and each if the landside and seaside SCS is responsible for the jobs that occur at its own side. When a container to be fetched is located far from fund over point, the SC should move a long distance and the interference between the two cranes am occur, which decreases the productivity of the SCS. Therefore, our method divides the block into two exclusive and one shared regions and let the containers located far from their fund over points to be transferred to the shared region by the other side crane before they are carried out. Although simple this method am reduce the crane movement and the interference between the two cranes. Simulation experiment shows that our proposed method significantly improves the productivity if the container terminal than previous heuristic that does not divide work regions.

Both in-process quality control and high reliability of the weld is one of the major concerns in applying friction welding to the economical and qualified mass-production. No reliable nondestructive monitoring method is available at present to determine the real-time evaluation of automatic production quality control for friction welding machine. This paper, so that, presents the experimental examinations and statistical quantitative analysis of the correlation between the initial cumulative counts of acoustic emission(AE) occurring during plastic deformation period of the welding and the tensile strength of the welded joints as well as the various welding variables, as a new approach which attempts finally to develop an on-line (or real-time) quality monitoring system and a program for the process of real-time friction welding quality evaluation by initial AE cumulative counts. As one of the important results, it was well confirmed that the initial AE cumulative counts were quantitatively and cubically correlated with reliability of 95% confidence level to the joint strength of the welds, bar-to-bar (SCM4 to SUM31, SCM4 to SUM24L) and that an AE technique using initial AE counts can be reliably applied to real-time strength evaluation of the welded joints, and that such a program of the system was well developed resulting in practical possibility of real-time quality control more than 100% joint efficiency showing good weld with no micro-structural defects.
In this study the possibility of classifying wood surface defects by image processing technique was investigated. An algorithm for the classification of wood surface defects, such as knot, check, and bark, on three Korean domestic species, Pinus densiflora, Quercus acutissima, and Carpinus laxiflora was also developed. Filtering was executed to separate dummies from the labels including real defect. Error rates in classifying knots on Pinus densiflora and Quercus acutissima were lower than 1% and error rates. In classifying check and bark in Quercus acutissima and Carpinus laxiflora could be lowered to below 13%.

In manufacturing companies, different types of production have been developed based on diverse production strategies and differentiated technologies. The production systems have become smart, factories are filled with unmanned manufacturing lines, and sustainable manufacturing technologies are under development. Nowadays, the digital manufacturing technology is being adopted and used in manufacturing industries. When this technology is applied, a lot of efforts, time and cost are required and training professionals in-house is limited. In this paper, we introduce e-FEED system (electronic based Front End Engineering and Design) that is the integrated design and analysis system for optimized manufacturing line development on virtual environment. This system provides the functions that can be designed easily using library and template based on standardized modules and analyzed automatically the logistic and capacity simulation by one-click and verified the result using visual reports. Also, we can review the factory layout using automatically created 3D virtual factory and increase the knowledge reuse by e-FEED system.

The development of automated quality evaluation tool is desperately needed to decrease the cost of maintenance, to measure quality of source program in developing course for the purpose of developing high quality software. Main goal in this paper is to develop the automated tool for software quality evaluation related with high quality and high reliability of software. In this paper, we proposed the four software quality model to evaluate software quality; functional -size model, understandability model, complexity model and object-oriented model. Also, we made a scanner and a parser to analyze the c and C++ source program and to produce the metrics and function value. The measurement value is statistically analyzed for the distribution of the measurement value. we can extracted the characteristics of measurement value and this one is assisted to make scores of software quality evaluation. Finally, we made a software quality evaluation tool to support software evaluation activities.
Soil loss was estimated by using universal soil loss equation(USLE) through GIS technique in Buyeu area. The expected soil loss is determined from six environmental factors: rainfall, erodibility of selected soil, length and steepness (gradient) of ground slope, crop grown in soil, and land practices used. A scoring system for assessing soil lossrisk has been developed for calculating SLI(Soil Loss Index) by GIS. The scores of six factors multiplied to give a total score which was compared with an chosen classification system to categorize areas of low, moderate and high risk. Finally, a soil loss assessment map was produced by GIS cartographic simulation technique, and this map could be applied in the establishment of regional land use planning.
Recently, an important physical device of transportation, such as car, railroad, ship and aircraft has changed into electronic control unit. According to accident reports, the most of car accidents are caused by faults of embedded software loaded to computer control unit. The facts implies that the test to find defects in embedded software haven't performed sufficiently. As a result, it is necessary to establish the test procedures of embedded software based on safety assessment criteria. The objective of this proposal is to provide a unit test procedure complied with the safety assessment criteria for the embedded software. In addition, an effective unit testing procedure and defect analysis methods are proposed and a testing procedure using a safety criteria built-in tool is presented.

Recently various applications have been proposed to improve supply chain process and management by not only using various management theories such as JIT(just In Time) and SCM(Supply Chain Management) but also utilizing emerging technology like RFID(Radio Frequency Identification). But existing research was merely focused on the use of the theories and technology on a particular work or material. Therefore, the objective of this study is to derive basic types of construction supply chain management which spans from manufacturing to installation at the construction site. This research proposes the seven types of construction supply chain processes, which has been derived based on the progress management theory and budget items for construction project. It is expected that the result of this study can be applied for RFID-based construction supply chain management as well as more efficiencies in various management areas.
