Development of the Automated Irrigation Management System for Paddy Fields (논 물 관리의 자동화시스템 개발)

  • This paper is to validate the proposed models for the real-time forecasting for the Keum river estuary dam such as tidal-level forecasting model, one-dimensional unsteady flood routing model, and Kalman filter models. The tidal-level forecasting model was based on semi-range and phase lag of four tidal constituents. The dynamic wave routing model was based on an implicit finite difference solution of the complete one-dimensional St. Venant equations of unsteady flow. The Kalman filter model was composed of a processing equation and adaptive filtering algorithm. The processng equations are second ordpr autoregressive model and autoregressive moving average model. Simulated results of the models were compared with field data and were reviewed.

  • In this paper, an algorithm of extracting the features of home appliances and automatically building a database to identify home appliances is designed and presented. For the verification, a software library supporting this algorithm is implemented and added to an power management system server, which was already implemented to support real-time monitoring of home appliances' power consumption status and controlling their power. The implemented system consists of a system server and clients, each of which measures the power consumed by a home appliance plugged in it and transmits the information to the server in real-time over a wireless network. Through experiments, it is verified that it is possible to identify any home appliance connected to a specific client.

  • This thesis proposes an automatic instruction extension system that utilizes retargetable compiler, based on MDL, to design an ASIP optimized for application. The proposed system uses information gathered from the application program to find all possible expandable instruction candidates. Expandable instruction candidates acquire the realization characteristics through hardware library. The system chooses instruction set and optimizes processor structure satisfying constraints on the bases of hardware characteristics and increase in execution speed. To confirm the efficiency of the proposed system, automatic instruction extension system was performed using various benchmark applications. The proposed system acquired optimized instruction set and processor structure, which are expanded from the commercial version of ARM9TDMI. Experimental results show that number of execution cycle has been reduced by 33.5% when compared to conventional version of ARM9TDMI, while area has been slightly increased.

  • In this study, we will try to develop the 3D automatic design program of limit gauge. When users, who have some mechanical information, input some date, they can do 3D-modeling easily like expert. This is one of the merit in automatic design program and the automatic design program can compare the limit gauge made in this study with processed the bolt and nut model. This demonstrates the effective value of automatic design model. Limits gauge of sort divide into ring gauge of measuring bolt and pin gauge of measuring nut. The new automatic design program follows the KS.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an improved measuring system, which allows for effectively measure spring clamping forces. This system consists of eight or twelve measuring points in order to acquire the clamping force distribution of the whole range of spring clamp. Each measuring point consists of load cells equipped with 4 strain gauges. Using different bearings, we calibrate the roundness of the measuring points. For quality control and database construction, a software system is established. furthermore, uncertainty is calculated to validate the confidence of this system. Various experiments confirm the effectiveness of this measuring system.

  • Recently, the system of the industry demands quick and accurate measurement for the mass production and high quality. Also, we need to improve the accuracy to decrease the failure rate in automatic assembly processing and improve the confidence, durability and the compatibility of parts. To answer this tendency and requirement, we have developed many accrate measuring instruments and methods. In this paper, we develop the whidows program using the DSP board(TMS320C25) which is used the data acquisition and the Visual C $^{++}$ , a windows programming language. We perform the measurement, analysis and output process in GUI(Graphic User Interface)environment. By using system, we will save the time required for the hand-worked measurement and avoid the useless iterative measurement. Furthermore, we expect to improve the productivity through automotive quality control in manufacturing process.s.

  • 의료 영상 처리 기술은 질병의 진단 및 치료를 위한 계획이나 방법을 결정하는데 있어 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며 의료 영상 시스템과 같은 활용 분야에서는 질병이 있는 환자의 자동 진단을 위한 연구도 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 여기서는 뇌 MR영상에서의 질병을 자동 진단할 수 있는 방법에 관한 연구를 한다. 뇌 MR영상에서의 질병 진단을 위한 단계로서 필수적으로 이루어져야 하는 단계가 비정상 영역의 추출 단계이다. 이 논문에서는 뇌의 질병 진단에 사용할 수 있는 자료를 제공하기 위한 전처리 단계로서 질병이 있는 환자의 뇌 영상에서 비정상적인 영역 추출 방법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 비정상적인 영역의 명암간 분포는 회백질 영역의 분포와 유사하나 두께 차이로서 구분이 가능하다. 여기서는 이 정보를 활용하여 정상인의 뇌영상에 대해서 회백질의 평균 두께 분포를 구하여 테스트로 입력되어지는 영상에서 회백질의 평균 두께 이상의 영역만을 남김으로서 질병이 있는 환자의 뇌 영상에서 비정상적인 영역을 추출할 수 있음을 보인다. 또한 추출되어진 비정상 영역에 대해서 진단에 필요한 인자를 자동으로 측정하였고 뇌경색, 뇌종양 환자를 포함한 63명의 뇌 MR 영상 시리즈에 대해서 실험하여 비교적 정확한 추출결과를 유도할 수 있었음을 확인하였다.

  • This paper address the problem of tracking multiple objects encountered in many situations in developing condensation algorithms. The difficulty lies on the fact that the implementation of condensation algorithm is not easy for the general users. We propose an automatic code generation program for condensation algorithm using MATLAB tool. It will help for general user who is not familiar with condensation algorithm to apply easily for real system. The merit of this program is that a that a general industrial engineer can easily simulate the designed system and confirm the its performance on the fly.

  • Radio Frequency (RF) signal fluctuates dynamically in wireless communication environments, where this fluctuation is severe especially in vehicular environments. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is critical in wireless communications to establish reliable communication links and compensate the received signal fluctuation. In this paper, we introduce a simple and novel AGC scheme which uses both Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) and analog-to digital converter (ADC) signals. Performance enhancement of the proposed AGC scheme is verified with practical measurements including simulations.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 수동으로 높이 조절만 가능한 단순 의자를 탈피하여 자라나는 아이의 신장과 체형에 맞게 의자 높이를 자동으로 조절해주는 스마트 의자를 제안한다. 본 논문의 주요 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초음파센서와 무게센서를 사용하여 아이의 신장과 체중을 측정함으로써 신체에 맞게 자동으로 의자의 각도와 높낮이를 조절해준다. 둘째, 센서를 통해 실시간으로 데이터를 수집하여 App 화면에 건강 상태를 보여주고 아이 등급표와 비교하여 아이의 성장률을 가시적으로 보여준다. 셋째, 압력 센서를 이용하여 아이의 자세 상태를 보여주고 App 알림과 데이터 분석으로 아이의 자세 교정에 도움을 준다. 넷째, 신호를 전달하면 지정된 자리로 의자가 자동으로 이동하는 기능을 제공한다. 제안된 시스템은 IoT 기술을 접목함으로써 성장이 빠른 영유아를 키우는 가정을 대상으로 의자 교체에 필요한 비용 절감 효과와 바쁜 현대인들을 위해 아이의 건강관리를 보다 효율적으로 돕는 것을 목표로 한다.
