Inter-device Mutual Authentication and Formal Verification in Vehicular Security System (자동차 보안시스템에서 장치간 상호인증 및 정형검증)

  • The auto industry has significantly evolved to the extent that much attention is paid to M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communication. In M2M communication which was first used in meteorology, environment, logistics, national defense, agriculture and stockbreeding, devices automatically communicate and operate in accordance with varying situations. M2M system is applied to vehicles, specifically to device-to-device communication inside cars, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, communication between vehicles and traffic facilities and that between vehicles and surroundings. However, communication systems are characterized by potential intruders' attacks in transmission sections, which may cause serious safety problems if vehicles' operating system, control system and engine control parts are attacked. Thus, device-to-device secure communication has been actively researched. With a view to secure communication between vehicular devices, the present study drew on hash functions and complex mathematical formulae to design a protocol, which was then tested with Casper/FDR, a tool for formal verification of protocols. In brief, the proposed protocol proved to operate safely against a range of attacks and be effective in practical application.

  • This article deals with the design and prototyping of Shift-By-Wire system for an automatic transmission equipped vehicle. In order to manipulate the shifting action electronically, Shift-By-Wire system consists of an electronic shift lever, an electric shift actuator and position sensors. The shift lever is designed to transform the driver's shifting command into an electric signal; it includes the position sensor using non-contact type hall sensor and an additional shifting switch acting as Tip-tronic. For the design of an electric shifting actuator, we investigated the stroke angles and shifting efforts of the manual control lever in each shifting section. And the position sensor of the shifting actuator is designed by using a potentiometer with an optical encoder. Finally the prototype of Shift-By-Wire system was built in a conventional 2.4L class SUV vehicle, and we performed road tests in order to verify its performance.

  • Auto Navigation System is to provide a vehicle driver with more driving information by developing a computer-based system which supports advanced knowledge to a vehicle driving automation system and a driver. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for the extraction of passing car which removes a background region using a series of images. First, we generate two difference images from three original images by getting the difference values between every two of them in sequence. Second, we generate two mask images from the two difference images. Finally, we extract passing car using the one original image and the two mask images. Using this algorithm we can extract the moving object in the outdoors.

  • A variable displacement vane pump is possible to improve the fuel economy by varying the pump capacity with a vane mechanism according to the engine operating speed range and reducing its driving torque. In general the experimental evaluation of the vane pump for the transmission has been performed mainly not with the vehicle or dynamometer test rig but with component test rig due to the implementation and safety problems. In this paper, in order to evaluate the performance of the developed vane pump as well as the compatibility with other rotary and hydraulic components of the target transmission, the transmission dynamometer based test rig is implemented where the developed pump is built into it and then the variable pump capacity and effect of power reduction are investigated experimentally.

  • 최근에는 자동차용 범퍼(Bumper), 인판넬(In-panel), 도어판넬(Door panel), 도어가니쉬(Door Garnish) 등과 같은 대형 사출성형품을 성형하기 위한 금형설계에 핫 러너 시스템(Hot Runner System)에 밸브 게이트(Valve Gate)를 채용한 밸브 게이트 시스템을 많이 사용하고 있다 이 시스템을 사용함으로서 성형 싸이클타임의 단축, 수지 스크랩의 감소 등의 말은 장점이 있으나, 실제 성형작업 적용 시 밸브 게이트의 작동순서 및 개폐시간의 제어 등에 정확한 표준이 없어 시험 사출시 최적 성형조건의 셋팅이 많은 시간을 소모하고 있는 문제점이 있다.(중략)

  • An educational network system based on CAN protocol internal to a passenger ground vehicle has been developed. The developed network system has been applied to a commercial plug-in electrical vehicle and verified the educational applicability. To apply this in-vehicle network technology based on CAN, a suitable electric vehicle has been chosen and a CAN network structure has been designed, developed and manufactured. Since the commercial electric vehicle chosen as a test bed has its own proprietary electric network, we explain how the original electric network has been utilized and how the new network system has been designed. The developed network system on a real vehicle has been tested to show the applicability and the performance. Finally, the system has been applied at few classrooms to demonstrate how the in-vehicle network system works and to teach how to analyse the CAN signals. The developed system proven to be effective for educational purpose.

  • 전기자동차를 위한 양방향 탑재형 충전기의 장내구성을 달성하기 위해 전해캐패시터를 사용하지 않는 전력변환장치가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 V2G-V2H 기능을 갖는 무 전해캐패시터 양방향 탑재형 충전기의 제어알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 양방향 충전기는 정현파 충전방식이 적용되었고 인버터만 제어하여 V2G-G2V-V2H 모드전환이 끊김없는 장점을 갖는다 제안하는 알고리즘을 검증하기 위한 3.3kW급 시작품의 시험결과로 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 공장 자동화에서 연속 공정 제어를 함에 있어 Multi-tasking을 보다 효율적으로 수행 하기 위해 온라인 다운 로드 기능을 제안하였다. 이는 연속 공정 제어를 위해 LD, ST, IL, FBD 등과 같은 제어 언어로 초기 프로그램 개발 시 잦은 프로그램 변경 및 수정을 요하는 곳에서 매우 유용하게 활용 될 수 있으며 실제 개발 시간의 단축도 가져온다. 또한 철강라인의 가열로나 자동차 조립라인등과 같이 생산라인을 도중에 멈출 수 없는 경우 온라인 다운 로드를 이용하면 생산 라인에 지장없이 프로그램을 수정후 변경된 프로그램을 바로 실행하여 적용할 수 있다. 이처럼 한 번 프로그램을 실행하면 도중에 멈출 수 없는 생산라인이나, 빠른 처리 속도를 요하는 곳에서 온라인 다운 로드기능을 이용하여 여러 개의 태스크를 분할 관리 함으로써 전체적으로 시스템의 성능을 향상 시키는 결과를 보여주고 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 전기자동차(Electric Vehicle, EV)의 주요 에너지 공급원인 배터리를 안정적으로 충 방전하기 위한 모드 전환 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 모드 전환기법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 일반적으로 차량 시스템에 사용되는 다상 방식의 양방향 컨버터를 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 또한, 컨버터의 전류제어는 각 상의 인덕터 전류에 대해 평균전류모드제어(Average Current Mode Control) 방법을 적용하여 제어하였다.

  • This paper presents a development of throttle and brake controller for autonomous vehicle simulation environment. Most of 3D simulator control autonomous vehicle by throttle and brake command. Therefore additional longitudinal controller is required to calculate pedal input from desired acceleration. The controller consists of two parts, feedback controller and feedforward controller. The feedback controller is designed to compensate error between the actual acceleration and desired acceleration calculated from autonomous driving algorithm. The feedforward controller is designed for fast response and the output is determined by the actual vehicle speed and desired acceleration. To verify the performance of the controller, simulations were conducted for various scenarios, and it was confirmed that the controller can successfully follow the target acceleration.
