In Korean-English mixed documents, translated technical words are usually used with the attached full words or original words enclosed with parenthesis. In this paper, a collective method is presented to recognize and extract the translation phrases with using a base translation dictionary. In order to process the unregistered title words and translation words in the dictionary, a phonetic similarity matching method, a translation partial matching method, and a compound word matching method are newly proposed. The experiment result of each method was measured in F-measure(the alpha is set to 0.4) ; exact matching of dictionary terms as a baseline method showed 23.8%, the hybrid method of translation partial matching and phonetic similarity matching 75.9%, and the compound word matching method including the hybrid method 77.3%, which is 3.25 times better than the baseline method.
X-ray equipment, which is frequently used in radiology and treatment, is the most common and most used equipment in clinical practice. Equipment must provide accurate information to patients through continuous quality control. In case of manual quality control measurement, reproducibility may be poor and there may be a problem with reliability of evaluation results. In this study, an automated program was developed and attempted to measure how much the central ray between the focus of the X-ray tube and the variable aperture of the diagnostic X-ray generator used in clinical practice coincides. As a result of the experiment, it succeeded in calculating the coordinates of the two center points, and the distance between the two points was calculated in pixels and applied to the judgment and the automatic judgment value for whether the center line coincidence is within the normal angle or the abnormal angle is presented. The results of this study are considered to be very helpful in the quality control of the X-ray apparatus.

An automatic combination and assembly system for phone-camera lens modules was developed. The system enables the assembly of the relative orientation of the individual lenses making up the lens module. Conventional assembly systems assemble a lens module from eight assembly units. The developed system reduces this number to half by combining each lens and a spacer into a single assembly unit. Also, the number of transfer stages for sequential assembly is minimized without increasing the assembly time. Therefore, high productivity and a footprint that is only about 25 % of that of a conventional assembly system can be realized. The system features a modular design to allow it to cope with rapid changes in the market. Only a few components, such as the picker and guide, need to be replaced for changing to a new assembly model.
We design and fabricate an autostigmatic null lens system assembled in a fixed tube mount in order to evaluate the shape of an aluminum hyperbolic mirror with the diameter of 300 mm and the f-number of 1.98, which is fabricated by a high precision aspherical DTM (diamond turning machine). Also, we evaluate the degree of shape of the aspherical mirror by this autostigmatic null lens testing method. The autostigmatic null lens system assembling in a fixed tube mount has several advantages of light weight, good mechanical stability, etc. The permissible fabricating limits of null lenses and a mount are determined by considering various tolerances to assure the measurement reliability.

In this paper, a free space optical communication device that can be used in a mobile base station of several km or less was fabricated and its characteristics were investigated. To overcome the loss due to atmospheric transmission, an optical fiber amplifier (EDFA) with an output of 23 dBm or more was used. In order to increase the focusing speed and miniaturization of the laser beam, an optical lens was manufactured, and a transmission lens was designed to have beam divergence within the range of 1.5 to 1.8 [mrad]. A PT module that controls PAN/TILT was fabricated in order to reduce pointing errors and effective automatic alignment between transceiver devices. In this study, Reed-Solomon (RS) code was used to maintain the transmission quality above a certain level. It was manufactured to be able to communicate at a wireless distance of 300m in a weather situation with visibility of 300m. For performance measurement, it was measured using BERT and eye pattern analyzer, and it was confirmed that BER can be maintained at 2.5Gbps.

Due to the variety of signal processing and complicated mathematical analysis, it is not easy to accomplish 3D bin-picking with non-contact sensor. To solve this difficulties the reliable signal processing algorithm and a good sensing device has been recommended. In this research, 3D laser scanner and CCD camera is applied as a sensing device respectively. With these sensor we develop a two-step bin-picking method and reliable algorithm for the recognition of 3D bin object. In the proposed bin-picking, the problem is reduced to 2D intial recognition with CCD camera at first, and then 3D pose detection with a laser scanner. To get a good movement in the robot base frame, the hand eye calibration between robot's end effector and sensing device should be also carried out. In this paper, we examine auto-calibration technique in the sensor calibration step. A new thinning algorithm and constrained hough transform is also studied for the robustness in the real environment usage. From the experimental results, we could see the robust bin-picking operation under the non-aligned 3D hole object.

The shearing process for the sheet metal is normally used in the precision elements such as semi-conductor components. In these precision elements, the burr formation brings a bad effect on the system assembly and demands the additional de-burring process. In this paper, we have developed the desktop-type precision punching system to investigate the burr formation mechanism and present kinematically Punch-die auto aligning methodology, for the purpose of burr unifomizing and minimizing, between the rectangular shaped punch and die. By using the scanning electron microscope, the aligned punching results are compared with the miss-aligned ones. Also, we measured the relative burr heights using the self-designed laser measuring device for insitu self aligning. Since it is hard to get the perfect, so called, burr-free edges during the shearing process, we introduced the ultrasonic do-burring machine. The de-burring operation was carried out by a novel do-burring method, the reversal flow resistance method, under different machining loads and abrasive types. The final do-burring results show the validity of our punching do-burring system pursuing the burr-free punched elements.

In this paper, we newly propose a wireless optical identification system and carried out experiments. A wireless optical identification system consists of a reader and a transponder. The configuration of a reader is the same as that of a transponder, which uses LED light as transmission media and detects the signal light with a solar cell. Optical alignment with a lens is not required because the absorption area of a solar cell is wide and flat, and it is very easy to attach a solar cell on the surface of an object. As the light wavelength does not interfere with radio frequency, a wireless optical identification system shows stable operation. In experiments, we realized a wireless optical identification system that automatically identifies the transponder data at a distance of 1 m using solar cells.

Currently, Price comparison sites receive inputs of product information and price manually after being joined by releted shopping mall companies, and can't support automatically price fluctuation of products in real time. Therefore, this paper designs and implements web service system based on SOAP for interactive product order and price comparison dynamically using web service technologies in real time. This web service system composes web service client module including functions of product search, sort and order, and server module including functions of remote procedure call for product search and order. This web service system implements interchanging product information based on SOAP messages and can support independence of platform and flexible potability in environment conforming to SOAP, WSDL and UDDI standards.

The existing mobile antenna networks in the military use have been operated by the manual pointing between two antennas. The work presented here describes the study of ATPC(Automatic Tracking and Pointing Control) system between facing antennas and the related tracking and pointing performances. This system is able to automatically track the maximum RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) value from the source's RF(Radio Frequency) signal and then control for maintaining the LOS(Line of Sight) between two antennas. The system has three major units; the driving unit consisting of motors, harmonic drives and encoders, the sensor unit with a GPS(Global Positioning System) and AHRS(Attitude and Heading Reference System) and the control unit regulating all the tracking and pointing events. By using PI(Proportional and Integral) controller, this system is able to properly track and point the other antenna under the external disturbance like the wind load. Both the simulation and the experimental works have been successively carried out to prove the performances of the system.
