The Design of High efficiency multi-channel LED light Driver suitable for Streetlamp (가로등에 적합한 고효율 멀티채널 LED 조명 구동장치 설계)

  • LED light driving device has problems in efficiency and heating at higher than 150W. In addition, there is inconvenience in replacing the lighting device to another when W is not the same as the previous one. In this paper, a multi-channel LED light driver, driver embedded driver circuit in a multi-channel structure with a power system in the driver-interlocking structure was designed. With the auto control converter structure with a power efficiency above 93% and power factor above 0.98, the weight of the high efficiency LED lighting-actuating device in driver-interlocking structure, a driver in self-calibrating self-optimization structure. In this paper, at below 10% THD, the existing converter contrast weight was reduced by 40% or more.

Low Speed Weigh-In Motion System Using Multi-FBG Sensors (다중 광섬유 브라그 격자 센서를 적용한 저속용 자동계중 시스템)

  • We have demonstrated a low speed weigh-in motion system using FBG sensors and performed field test at a trial road. Technique, called identical chirped grating interrogation, have used for a demodulation relying on the mismatching of two identical broadband chirped gratings. We compensated the fluctuation of LED power and the temperature of sensor and used a lock-in amplifier to reduce effect of noise. We could design a bending plate that the measurement results are independent of position of weight. The FBG sensors weigh-in motion system showed linearity and reproducibility.

Automatic optimization for time gain compensation and dynamic range control in ultrasound diagnostic systems (초음파 진단 기기에서의 시간 이득 보상과 다이나믹 범위 조절을 위한 자동 최적화 알고리즘)

  • For efficient and accurate diagnosis of ultrasound images, the time gain compensation (TGC) and dynamic range (DR) control of the ultrasound echo signal are important. TGC is for compensating the attenuation of the ultrasound echo signal along the depth, and DR is used to control the image contrast. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for finding the optimized values of TGC and DR automatically. For TGC, the degree of compensation is determined along the depth based on the effective attenuation estimation of ultrasound signal. For DR optimization, we introduce a novel cost function on the basis of the characteristics of ultrasound image, which provides the minimum value at the optimal DR. Experiments have been performed by applying the proposed algorithm to a real US imaging system. The results show that the algorithm automatically can determine the values of TGC and DR in realtime so that the subjective quality of the corresponding US image may be good enough for diagnosis.

  • For high-speed data communication in band-limited channels, main of the bit error are fading and ISI(Inter-Symbol Interference). The common way of dealing with ISI is using equalization in the receiver. In this thesis, channel adaptive equalizer which uses Fuzzy Stochastic Gradient(FSG) and Constant Modulus Algorithm(CMA) is nonlinear equalizer, or Blind equalizer, that works directly on the signals with no training sequences required. This equalizer employs Takagi-Sugeno's fuzzy model that uses the FSG algorithm, to automatically regulate the step size of the descent gradient vector, combining fast convergence rate and low mean square error(MSE), and the CMA which is a special case of Godard's algorithm, to having multiple dispersion constants($R_p$).

  • Vehicle lightings are very important for safe driving during night time. Since the eye recovery time after an exposure to oncoming headlights would take after several seconds, the aiming point of vehicle head lamps have to pass safety requirements. Despite the fact that vehicle inclination is variable with vehicle load conditions, the head lamps aiming point is usually fixed at a constant position which is set by car manufacturer. Consequently, vehicle head lamps under varying load conditions often make people in the opposing vehicle uncomfortable, and even worse, can cause an accident. This paper presents an active vehicle lighting mechanism to automatically adjust its aiming point, or cut-off line, in order to compensate the change in vehicle inclination resulting from load variations. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through a set of simulations and experiments with a real vehicle.

Reliability Analysis Modeling of Communication Networks Considering Rerouting (재경로 설정을 고려한 통신망의 신뢰도 분석 모델링)

  • In this paper, we develop queueing network models of communication networks with reliability model considering link failures. The reliability of a communication network with a virtual connection exposed to link failures is analyzed. Stochastic Reward Nets (SRN) is an extension of stochastic Petri nets and provides compact modeling facilities for system analysis. To get the performance index, appropriate reward rates are assigned to its SRN. It is shown that SRN modeling is well suited to specify, automatically generate and solve for reliability under rerouting. Markov models using SRN are developed and solved to depict various rerouting caused by link failures and reliability analysis in communication networks.

  • 선박 운항 자동화 시스템은 선내 노동력 감소, 작업 환경 개선, 운항 안전성 확보 및 운항 능률의 향상을 목표로 하며, 궁극적으로는 운항 경제성확보를 위한 승선 인원의 최소화에 그 목적이 있다. 최근에는 적응 제어방법 등을 응용하여 선박의 비선형성을 보상하여 선박의 회두각 유지제어(Course Keeping Control), 항로 추적제어(Track Keeping Control), 롤-타각제어(Roll-Rudder Stabilization), 선박 위치제어(Dynamic Ship Positioning), 선박자동 접이안(Automatic Mooring Control) 등에 관한 연구를 수행하고 있으며 실제의 선박으로 대상으로 응용연구가 진행 중이다. 선박은 Steering Machine에 의해 조정되는 Rudder angle과 선박의 회두각의 관계는 비선형적이며, 선박의 Load Condition은 선박의 Parameter에 영향을 주는 비선형적인 요소로서 작용한다. 또한 외란요소인 파도의 유속(流速)과 방향, 풍속과 풍량 등이 비선형적인 형태로 작용하므로 선박의 운항을 힘들게 하는 요인이 된다. 따라서 선박의 운항시스템에는 비선형성을 극복할 수 있는 강인한 제어 알고리즘을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지 알고리즘을 이용하여 선박의 비선형적인 요인 및 외란을 극복할 수 있는 선박의 자율운항 시스템을 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 결과를 살펴보았다.

  • HMS(Hull Mount Sonar) equipment mounted on PCC(Patrol Combat Corvette) is suitably designed for active mode, and the specific character of sensor or system is not appropriate for the frequency range to detect a torpedo. In this article, in order to implement the function of detecting torpedoes with HMS of existing PCC, I will analyze the feature of input signals each PCCs and design a circuit to compensate reversely for the input signal in certain frequency. And also, I will suggest the most adequate torpedo defense system suitable for the special operating environment and the characteristic of naval vessels, implementing functions such as AGC of input signal and fixing the frequency range of different input signals per different warships.

The Characteristics of Noise Figure in Bi-directional Fiber Ring Laser Gain Clamped EDFA (양방향 발진고리형 고정이득 EDFA에서의 잡음지수 특성)

  • FRLGC(Fiber Ring laser Gain Clamped) EDFA Is demonstrated for an automatic gain control in hi-directional ADM(Add Drop Multiplexer) node configuration. Specifically, we investigate hi-directional characteristics of noise figure. Assuming a hi-directional small signal input, noise figures for forward or backward signal input are calculated using average inversion algorithm, according to the propagating directions and lasing wavelengths of a compensating signal. The operating condition of FRLGC-EDFA may be optimized with a backward lasing and short lasing wavelength in the aspect of hi-directional noise figure characteristics.

  • A precision magnetic field was generated by the NMR magnetometer and electromagnet system. The current and field feedback systems are used to control of magnetic field in the electromagnet using computer. Stability of magnetic field according to results that compare field and current feedback, current method is better than 2 times. The stability of magnetic field with current feedback improved 10 times compared with no feedback. This system is used for the calibration of magnetometers and the testing related to magnetic fields.
