  • 본 연구에서는 액체를 이용한 위험속도 이상에서 불평형의 반대측으로 액체 를 이동시켜, 이것을 평형질량으로서 이용하여 축의 휘돌림 진폭을 감소시키 는 방안으로서 자기보상형 액체평형장치를 제안하고 기지의 정불평형에 대 한 이론과 실험을 통하여 그 유용성을 검증하고 결과를 나타낸다.

  • Cable dome structures are composed of cables-masts and the cables should be in pre-tension since a structure without pre-tension is not stable. Under the pretension, self equilibrium stress state is the main characteristic of a cable dome structure. In this paper, a new method based on the basic principle of closed force polygon for equilibrium system is proposed for the determination of self-equilibrium mode of cable dome structure. The proposed method which is called geometric method has the unique characteristic of visualization of the force mode needed for maintenance of self-equilibrium. The basic theory for a self equilibrium of structure is that the summation of forces at each joint without any external load should be zero. The simplicity of the method which involves only drawing close polygon with the aid of suitable CAD software has been illustrated by means of a example. The results compared with mechanical calculation and existed method and shows good agreement.

  • 본 논문에서는 고유치문제에 근거한 텐세그러티 구조물의 형상탐색에 대하여 제시하고자 한다. 하지만 자기평형 응력을 구하기 위해서 정방형 행렬이 아닌 장방형 행렬을 풀어야 하는 난제가 발생하므로 선행 연구자들은 이를 해결하기 위해 내력밀도법과 일반역행렬을 이용한 방법 등을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 새롭게 형상을 탐색하는 방법을 제시하여 텐세그러티 구조물 및 케이블 돔 구조물의 자기평형 응력을 얻었다. 제시한 방법은 기존의 방법을 기본으로 한 모든 절점의 평형 방정식을 고유치문제로 정식화하였다. 이를 증명하기 위해 몇 가지 예제에 대하여 수치해석을 수행하였고 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 기존의 방법과 비교하였다. 제시된 방법은 기존의 방법과 같은 결과가 나왔으며 해답을 얻는 과정이 훨씬 간단하였다.

제일원리 계산에 의한 Fe/Pt (001) 표면의 평형 구조 및 자기이방성 연구

  • 제일원리 계산으로 Fe/Pt (001) 표면의 표면상태도를 계산하고 표면상태도로 부터 얻어진 평형 Fe/Pt (001) 표면구조의 자기이방성에너지를 계산하였음. 계산된 표면상태도로 부터 Fe-rich $L1_2$ 구조와 수직 $L1_0$ 구조가 가장 안정한 표면 Fe/Pt (001) 구조임이 밝혀졌음. 제일원리로 계산 된 두 구조의 자기이방성에너지를 관측하여 두 구조의 자기용이축이 모두 [001] 방향으로 정렬 됨을 확인하였다. 자기이방성에너지가 격자 변화와 표면 형성 중 어떤 원인에 의해 발생하는지 판단하기 위해서 표면구조, 벌크구조, 및 표면구조와 동일한 격자상수를 가진 벌크구조를 비교 하였다. 비교 결과에 의해 자기이방성에너지의 주 원인은 표면 형성임이 밝혀졌으며 이를 좀 더 명확히 하기위해 상태밀도함수를 계산하였다. 상태밀도함수 계산 결과 Fe 원자의 $3d_{z2}$ 오비탈의 페르미 준위 아래에서의 상태가 표면이 형성되면서 증가하는 것을 관측하였으며 이는 [001] 방향으로의 자기이방성을 증가시키는 오비탈이므로 표면 형성에 따른 자기이방성에너지 증가는 Fe 원자의 $3d_{z2}$ 오비탈에 의함이 판명되었다.

Development of an Ultra-Violet Lamp and a Ballast for Ship's Ballast Water Treatment (선박평형수 처리용 자외선 램프 및 안정기 개발)

  • In this paper, we dealt with the design and fabrication of a medium pressure ultra-violet (UV) lamp and a magnetic ballast which are main components for ballast water treatment systems (BWTS). To acquire an optimal discharge condition of UV lamp, electrical and optical characteristics depending on the argon gas volume and the amount of mercury were experimentally analyzed. Rated voltage, current and power consumption of a prototype lamp were 490 [V], 8.6 [A] and 4.0 [kW], respectively. UV intensity of the lamp was 15 [%] higher than that of an equivalent lamp which is used in a BWTS. The magnetic ballast was designed in a UI core type through theoretical analysis and simulation. The open voltage and the rated power consumption of the ballast were 920 [V] and 8.5 [kVA] respectively. The disinfection efficacy which is carried out in a BWTS equipped with the UV lamp and magnetic ballast was over 99.99 [%], and this satisfy the IMO regulations.

  • A Self-compensating liquid balancer is proposed, which consists of the vessel contains liquid available to compensate for rotor unbalance, and the vessel provides four sets of suction pipe and reservior. Under the centrifugal field the liquid moves through the pipe from the side of the unbalance mass to the reservior located on the symmetrically opposite side. The liquid balancer was confirmed experimentally to be useful for the balancing of rotor over the critical speed, and the whirling amplitude after balancing decreases to almost constant value in spite of the location and size of unbalance.

  • Form-Finding of tensegrity structures by eigenvalue problem is presented, In ardor to maintain the structures stable, "Form-Finding" should be performed. The types of analytical methods are known to solve this phenomenon: One is to use force density method, and the other is to apply so called, generalized inverse method. In this paper, new form finding methods are presented to obtain the self-equilibrium stress of the tensegrity structures. This method is based on the equilibrium equation of the all of the joint and the governing equation is formulated as eigonvalue problem. In order to verify this approach, numerical example(tensegrity structures) are compared with others calculated by previous methods. The solution by present method is shown identical results. Furthermore, the developed process to find the results is more efficient than previous approaches.

  • Interfacial surface crack perpendicular to the surface, which is imbedded into bonded quarter planes under single anti-plane shear load is analyzed. The problem is formulated using Mellin transform, form which single Wiener-Hopf equation is derived. By solving the equation stress intensity factor is obtained in closed form. This solution can be used as a Green's function to generate the solutions of other problems with the same geometry but of different loading conditions.

  • The nonlinear modal interaction of an autoparametric system under a broadband random excitation is investigated. The specific system examined is an autoparametric vibration absorber with internal resonance, which is typical of many common structural configurations. By means of Gaussian closure scheme the dynamic moment equations explaining the random responses of the system are reduced to a system of autonomous ordinary differential equations of the first and second moments. In view of equilibrium solutions of this system and their stability we examine the system responses. We could not find the destabilizing effect of damping, which was reported in References (18) and (20). The saturation phenomenon, which is well known in deterministic nonlinear system, did not take place lot this system subject to broadband random excitation.
