  • 본 논문에서는 현대 사회의 취미 생활로 깊이 자리 잡은 실용음악 악기 중 하나인 베이스 기타의 효과적인 학습을 위한 새로운 기반 시스템을 제안한다. 현대인들은 바쁜 시간에 쫓겨 올바른 학습을 접하기 쉽지 않다. 그리고 같이 연주를 하기 위한 파트너를 구하는 것도 쉬운 일이 아니다. 제안된 시스템은 독학 시 가장 문제점가 되는 꾸준한 연습과 체계적인 연습의 부족이라는 두 가지 단점을 모두 극복할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 베이스 기타를 컴퓨터에 연결하여 음정을 인식한다. 피치 추출 알고리즘 중 하나인 자기상관 함수를 사용하여 베이스 기타에서 추출한 음정 데이터와 미디에서 추출한 음정 데이터 간의 비교를 통해 효율적인 연습 환경을 제공한다.

수학 교구를 활용한 클럽 활동이 학생들의 수학적 성향 및 도형 학습능력에 미치는 영향

  • 대부분의 수학 수업이 알고리즘을 숙달시키고, 기계적으로 익힌 절차에 의해 정답을 맞추는 것에 중점을 두어 왔기 때문에, 학생들은 수학은 딱딱하고 어렵고 재미없는 과목이라는 인식을 많이 하고 있다. 그러나, 수학 수업에서 수학 교구의 조작 활동을 한다면 수학적인 흥미를 유발할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 추상과 형식적인 수학으로의 발달을 돕고 학생들이 활동적으로 수업에 참여할 수 있게 된다. 이러한 맥락에서 제 7차 교육과정의 '도형'영역에서는 조작 활동을 통한 자기 학습능력 개발에 중점을 두고 주위의 실제 생활에서 볼 수 있는 사물을 관찰하여 그 성질을 추상해 낼 수 있도록 구체적인 교구를 이용하는 조작 활동을 강조하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 관점에서 정규 수학 수업이 아닌 일선학교의 클럽 활동 시간을 이용하여 학생들이 수학 교구를 충분히 조작하고 활용할 시간을 제공하며, 학생들이 수학 교구의 조작 활동을 통한 클럽활동이 학생들의 수학적 성향 및 능력 수준에 따른 도형 학습능력에 어떠한 변화를 미치는 지를 사례를 중심으로 논의하고자 한다.

Algorithm for automatic recognition of corpus callosum from saggital brain MR images (두뇌 자기공명영상에서의 corpus callosum의 자동인식 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, a new method to find the corpus callosum from sagittal brain MR images is proposed, which uses the statistical characteristics and shape information of corpus callosum. First, we extract regions satisfying the statistical characteristics of the corpus callosum and then find a region matching the shape information. In order to match the shape information, a new directed window region growing algorithm is proposed instead of using conventional contour matching algorithms. Using the proposed algorithm, we adaptively relax the statistical requirement until we find a region matching the shape information. Experiments show very promising results.

  • In this study, researchers developed the estimative algorithm for artificial defects in semiconductor packages and performed it by pattern recognition technology. For this purpose, the estimative algorithm was included that researchers made software with MATLAB. The software consists of some procedures including ultrasonic image acquisition, equalization filtering, Self-Organizing Map and Backpropagation Neural Network. Self-Organizing Map and Backpropagation Neural Network are belong to methods of Neural Networks. And the pattern recognition technology has applied to classify three kinds of detective patterns in semiconductor packages: Crack, Delamination and Normal. According to the results, we were confirmed that estimative algorithm was provided the recognition rates of $75.7\%$ (for Crack) and $83_4\%$ (for Delamination) and $87.2\%$ (for Normal).

GLCM Algorithm Image Analysis of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver and Focal Fat Sparing Zone in the Ultrasonography (초음파검사에서 비알콜성 지방간과 국소지방회피영역에 대한 GLCM Algorithm 영상분석)

  • There is a need for aggressive diagnosis and treatment in middle-aged and high-risk individuals who are more likely to progress from nonalcoholic fatty liver to hepatitis. In this study, nonalcoholic fatty liver was divided into severe, moderate, and severe, and classified by quantitative method using computer analysis of GLCM algorithm. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of ultrasound images in the local fat avoidance region. Normal, mild, moderate, severe fatty liver, and focal fat sparing area, 80 cases, respectively. Among the parameters of the GLCM algorithm, the values of the Autocorrelation, Square of the deviation, Sum of averages and Sum of variances with high recognition rate of the liver ultrasound image were calculated. The average recognition rate of the GLCM algorithm was 97.5%. The result of local fat avoidance image analysis showed the most similar value to the normal parenchyma. Ultrasonography can be easily accessed by primary screening, but there may be differences in the accuracy of the test method or the correspondence of results depending on proficiency. GLCM algorithm was applied to quantitatively classify the degree of fatty liver. Local fat avoidance region was similar to normal parenchyma, so it could be predicted to be homogeneous liver parenchyma without fat deposition. We believe that GLCM computer image analysis will provide important information for differentiating not only fatty liver but also other lesions.

  • In this paper, we propose the face recognition system using HNMA(Hippocampal Neuron Modeling Algorithm) which can remodel the cerebral cortex and hippocampal neuron as a principle of a man's brain in engineering, then it can learn the feature-vector of the face images very fast and construct the optimized feature each image. The system is composed of two parts. One is feature-extraction and the other is teaming and recognition. In the feature extraction part, it can construct good-classified features applying PCA(Principal Component Analysis) and LDA(Linear Discriminants Analysis) in order. In the learning part, it cm table the features of the image data which are inputted according to the order of hippocampal neuron structure to reaction-pattern according to the adjustment of a good impression in the dentate gyrus region and remove the noise through the associate memory in the CA3 region. In the CA1 region receiving the information of the CA3, it can make long-term memory learned by neuron. Experiments confirm the each recognition rate, that are face changes, pose changes and low quality image. The experimental results show that we can compare a feature extraction and learning method proposed in this paper of any other methods, and we can confirm that the proposed method is superior to existing methods.

A Study on the Development of a Home Mess-Cleanup Robot Using an RFID Tag-Floor (RFID 환경을 이용한 홈 메스클린업 로봇 개발에 관한 연구)

  • An autonomous and automatic home mess-cleanup robot is newly developed in this paper. Thus far, vacuum-cleaners have lightened the burden of household chores but the operational labor that vacuum-cleaners entail has been very severe. Recently, a cleaning robot was commercialized to solve but it also was not successful because it still had the problem of mess-cleanup, which pertained to the clean-up of large trash and the arrangement of newspapers, clothes, etc. Hence, we develop a new home mess-cleanup robot (McBot) to completely overcome this problem. The robot needs the capability for agile navigation and a novel manipulation system for mess-cleanup. The autonomous navigational system has to be controlled for the full scanning of the living room and for the precise tracking of the desired path. It must be also be able to recognize the absolute position and orientation of itself and to distinguish the messed object that is to be cleaned up from obstacles that should merely be avoided. The manipulator, which is not needed in a vacuum-cleaning robot, has the functions of distinguishing the large trash that is to be cleaned from the messed objects that are to be arranged. It needs to use its discretion with regard to the form of the messed objects and to properly carry these objects to the destination. In particular, in this paper, we describe our approach for achieving accurate localization using RFID for home mess-cleanup robots. Finally, the effectiveness of the developed McBot is confirmed through live tests of the mess-cleanup task.

Classification of Fall in Sick Times of Liver Cirrhosis using Magnetic Resonance Image (자기공명영상을 이용한 간경변 단계별 분류에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, I proposed a classifier of liver cirrhotic step using T1-weighted MRI(magnetic resonance imaging) and hierarchical neural network. The data sets for classification of each stage, which were normal, 1type, 2type and 3type, were obtained in Pusan National University Hospital from June 2001 to december 2001. And the number of data was 46. We extracted liver region and nodule region from T1-weighted MR liver image. Then objective interpretation classifier of liver cirrhotic steps in T1-weighted MR liver images. Liver cirrhosis classifier implemented using hierarchical neural network which gray-level analysis and texture feature descriptors to distinguish normal liver and 3 types of liver cirrhosis. Then proposed Neural network classifier teamed through error back-propagation algorithm. A classifying result shows that recognition rate of normal is 100%, 1type is 82.3%, 2type is 86.7%, 3type is 83.7%. The recognition ratio very high, when compared between the result of obtained quantified data to that of doctors decision data and neural network classifier value. If enough data is offered and other parameter is considered, this paper according to we expected that neural network as well as human experts and could be useful as clinical decision support tool for liver cirrhosis patients.

  • With the development of ICT technology, the indoor utilization of robots is increasing. Research on transportation, cleaning, guidance robots, etc., that can be used now or increase the scope of future use will be advanced. To facilitate the use of mobile robots in indoor spaces, the problem of self-location recognition is an important research area to be addressed. If an unexpected collision occurs during the motion of a mobile robot, the position of the mobile robot deviates from the initially planned navigation path. In this case, the mobile robot needs a robust controller that enables the mobile robot to accurately navigate toward the goal. This research tries to address the issues related to self-location of the mobile robot. A robust position recognition system was implemented; the system estimates the position of the mobile robot using a combination of encoder information of the mobile robot and the absolute space coordinate transformation information obtained from external video sources such as a large number of CCTVs installed in the room. Furthermore, vector field histogram method of the pass traveling algorithm of the mobile robot system was applied, and the results of the research were confirmed after conducting experiments.

An Alternative Method for Assessing Local Spatial Association Among Inter-paired Location Events: Vector Spatial Autocorrelation in Housing Transactions (쌍대위치 이벤트들의 국지적 공간적 연관성을 평가하기 위한 방법론적 연구: 주택거래의 벡터 공간적 자기상관)

  • It is often challenging to evaluate local spatial association among onedimensional vectors generally representing paired-location events where two points are physically or functionally connected. This is largely because of complex process of such geographic phenomena itself and partially representational complexity. This paper addresses an alternative way to identify spatially autocorrelated paired-location events (or vectors) at a local scale. In doing so, we propose a statistical algorithm combining univariate point pattern analysis for evaluating local clustering of origin-points and similarity measure of corresponding vectors. For practical use of the suggested method, we present an empirical application using transactions data in a local housing market, particularly recorded from 2004 to 2006 in Franklin County, Ohio in the United States. As a result, several locally characterized similar transactions are identified among a set of vectors showing various local moves associated with communities defined.
