자기 디버링을 이용한 복합 미세패턴의 형상 정밀도 향상 (A Study on Accuracy Improvement of Dual Micro Patterns Using Magnetic Abrasive Deburring)

  • 최근, 산업에서는 미세패턴의 효과가 입증됨에 따라 미세패턴에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 연구들은 단일 패턴에 집중되어있으며, 복합 미세패턴의 제작 및 디버링에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 원통형 공작물에 복합 미세패턴을 제작하고, 자기 디버링을 이용하여 디버링을 실시하였다. 또한, 반응표면법을 이용하여 패턴의 높이에 대한 예측모델을 도출하고, 자기 디버링 공정을 최적화하였다. 그 결과, 패턴의 높이에 대한 예측값과 실험값을 비교하였을 때, 평균적으로 7%의 오차가 발생하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 검증실험을 통하여 형상 정밀도가 우수한 복합 미세패턴의 제작이 가능하고, 예측모델이 신뢰성이 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • Magnetic abrasive polishing is one of the most promising finishing methods applicable to complex surfaces. Nevertheless this process has a low efficiency when applied to very hardened materials. For this reason, EP-MAP hybrid process was developed. EP-MAP process is expected to machine complex and hardened materials. In this research, deburring process using EP-MAP hybrid process was proposed. EP-MAP deburring process is applied to micro channel, thereby it can obtain both deburring process and polishing process. EP-MAP deburring process on the micro channel was performed. Through design of experiment method, error of height in this process according to process parameter is analyzed. When the level 1 parameter A(magnetic flux density) and level 2 parameter B(electric potential), C(working gap) and level 3 parameter D(feed rate) are applied in the deburring process using EP-MAP hybrid process, it provides optimum result of EP-MAP hybrid deburring process.

  • We were interest in Deburring using MAF(magnetic abrasive finishing) method. So Magnetic inductor was designed and manufactured to generate proper magnetic induction fer deburring the burr formed in drilling SM45C. We experienced according to the Rotational speed, table feed rate, grain size of powder and working gap are changed to investigate the effect on deburring. At this time we experienced in abrasive effect mainly.

마이크로 프레스에 의한 미세 펀칭 홀의 디버링 특성 (A Deburring Characteristics of Small Punching Holes using Micro Press)

  • In micro hole punching process the burr occurs inevitably, but the burr must be minimized in order to improve the quality and accuracy of the product. In this study, magnetic field-assisted polishing technique is applied to remove the burr which exists in nozzles for ink-jet printer head and proved to be a feasible for deburring by experiment. The deburring characteristics of sheet metals was investigated changing with polishing time and magnetic abrasive size. After the deburring, the burr size has remarkably reduced and roundness of the hole also has improved.

분말 특성에 따른 자기연마에 의한 Deburring성능분석 (Analysis of the Performance of Magnetic Abrasive Deburring according to Powder Characteristics)

  • The performance of magnetic abrasive finishing fur surface is evaluated by the characteristic curve. The characteristic curve is generated by experiment in surface finishing. For experiment, new magnetic inductor is designed and manufactured. 15 kinds of powders are provided to find the relationship between powder characteristic and finishing performance. As powder, Fe-TiC. Polymer-TiC and Fe-NbC are used with different size. The size of abrasives and location are also important factor for the performance. From characteristic curve, two index are obtained, which specify the initial finishing performance and endurance of finishing performance. It is proved that the performance index can be applied to select proper powder for efficient deburring. It is shown that the characteristic curve can be used as good tools for evaluating powder performance in surface finishing and deburring.

  • An EP(Electrolytic Polishing)-MAP(Magnetic Abrasive Polishing) hybrid process was applied to remove burr on the micro pattern. Micro pattern fabrication processes are combined with micro milling and EP-MAP hybrid process for deburring. Depending on the micro milling conditions which are applied, micro burrs are formed around the side and top of the pattern. The EP-MAP deburring is used to remove these burrs effectively. To optimize removal rate and form error in the EP-MAP hybrid process, a design of experiment was performed. The effect of deburring process and form error of micro pattern are evaluated via SEM images and the results of AFM.

2 세대 자기연마를 이용한 미세 그루브형상 표면가공에 관한 연구 (A Study on Polishing of Grooved Surface by the Second-Generation Magnetic Abrasive Polishing)

  • 자기연마공정은 유동성이 높은 연마입자를 활용하기 때문에 곡면 및 그루브 형상에도 적용이 가능한 장점을 지니고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제 2세대 자기연마법을 활용하여 그루브 형상에 대한 자기연마가공 특성을 평가하여, 이를 향후 연료전지 채널과 같은 3차원 형상의 자기연마에 활용하고자 한다. 실험은 최대 1.5mm 깊이의 그루브에 대해 자기연마가공 후 슬롯부 및 랜드부의 표면거칠기 변화를 관찰하였다. 그 결과 랜드부의 길이가 증가하고 그루브의 깊이가 깊어질수록 랜드부의 표면거칠기 향상정도는 높아졌다. 또한 슬롯부의 표면거칠기 향상정도는 랜드부와 슬롯부의 길이비가 증가하고 그루브의 깊이가 깊어질수록 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 마지막으로 자기연마가공을 통해서 그루브의 형상에는 큰 변화없이, 그루브의 모서리에 생성된 버를 효과적으로 제거할 수 있었다.
