자가용 이용실태 조사 결과(2002년 에너지 총조사)

  • 에너지총조사는 우리나라 전 산업(가구 및 자가용승용차 포함)에 대한 에너지원별 소비구조 파악 및 행태 분석을 위하여 매 3년마다 산업자원부 주관 하에 에너지경제연구원에서 실시하고 있다. 금번 잠정 결과는 2002년 8월을 기준으로 실시된 '2002 에너지총조사' 자가용 승용차부문 중 승용일반형에 대한 조사결과를 1993년부터 시계열로 비교한 결과이다.

Analysis on Passenger Car Travel Characteristics by Household Type (자가용 승용차의 가구그룹별 통행특성 차이에 관한 연구)

  • Passenger cars occupy about 74% among registered vehicles in Korea and the ratio of transportation mode sharing is approximately 60% in the passenger transport part. However, there is no statistics related to travel characteristics of passenger cars, and official statistics are estimated from O/D travel data. Thus, National Transportation DataBase Center in KOTI has attempted to construct various statistical data through Korea Vehicle Use Survey. Based on these data, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was conducted to investigate the differences in travel characteristics of each analysis group. As a result, all of the explanatory variables(weekday vs. weekend, metropolitan area vs. non-metropolitan area, male vs. female, commute time vs. other time, routine purpose vs. non-routine purpose) were found to be different across households. In addition, travel distances per trip of weekday, metropolitan area, male, commute time, and non-routine purpose are longer than the opposite variables. Also, the trip distances of small size(1 to 2 persons) households are shorter compared to large size(more than 5 persons) households.

Spatial Diffusion Process of Private Passenger Cars in Korea (우리나라 자가용 승용차의 공간적 확산과정)

  • Between 1985 and 1997 the diffusion of private passenger cars first occurred in major cities such as Seoul, Busan, Daegu and the satellite cities of the capital city that enjoyed high incomes and advanced service industries and then it gradually expanded to industrial and major provincial cities while posting a downturn in the major cities. Factor contrbuting to this phenomenon most significantly was the rate of employment in the financial insurance, real estate, and business service sectors in 1985 and 1990. The most ingluential factor in 1997 was the rate of employment in agriculture, hunting, forestry, and fishery. When measured against 1991 as a yardstick, the spatiotemporal ditribution rate of private passenger cars was highly between 1985 and 1990 in Seoul's satellite cities and major regional cities, showing a large inter-regional gap in terms of diffusion rate. The period from 1991 to 1997 showed a high rate of diffusion in cities within the capital region as well as in major regional cities, but inter-regional diffusion rate became similar. Key factors responsible for regional types of the diffusion were {1}the rate of employment in the service industrier and income in the major citier, and (2)the geogtaphic distamce between counties and Seoul plus the size of population in the county regions.

  • 「작년도의 자가용차 1km주행에 요하는 타이어 튜우브비는 소형승용차가 1.27엔, 소형트럭 1.16원, 경자동차 0.6원으로 타이어 경비는 전년도보다 14~29%감소하고 있다」라는 조사결과가 운수성자동차국의 조사에서 명백해졌다. (「자가용 자동차의 점검정비실시현황등의 실태조사결과 1976년도」),여사히 타이어 튜우브비가 전년도보다 감소한 이유로써 ①주행거리가 하락하여 있는 점 ②타이어 가격이 하락하고 있는 점 ③타이어의 사용관리가 엄격하게 되어 있는 점 ④라디알타이어의 증가에 따른 타이어 수명의 연장등의 점이 지적 될 것이다. 이하 동조사 결과로부터 타이어에 관한 부분을 발기해 보았다.

Analysis of Willingness to Own Passenger Car Using Structural Equation Model (구조방정식을 활용한 승용차 보유의향 분석)

  • This study analyzes 'willingness to have passenger cars' through perception survey about car use and possession. Social problems caused by increasing car use are serious. Because of the fact that 78.9% of registered vehicles are passenger cars and 75.3% of passenger cars are private cars, passenger cars are main reason of Social problems caused by using a car. So, we need to analyze the reason why people possess cars and need additional cars. Also we need to study about 'willingness to possess additional cars' through analysis of perception about car use and ownership. According to survey results, most households possess cars as means of commute, and most households need additional cars as means of commute to office, leisure, kids' commute to school and academy. Also we used Structural Equation Model to analyze car use and 'willingness to possess additional cars' according to ownership. Analysis results showed that car use is positively impacted by driving and usage perception, and negatively impacted by social problems such as parking, traffic congestion, traffic environment, and etc. Also, results showed that the number of car is positively impacted by usage perception, and negatively impacted by expenses. In case of 'willingness to have additional cars', is positively impacted by intention to use cars and negatively impacted by car ownerships. We think research results can be used as basic data to manage traffic demand.

  • 본 연구에서는 한국에서 도로 승용차로부터 배출되는 $CO_2$, 대기오염물질 및 에너지 소비에 대한 분석, 전망을 하였다. 도로 승용차 교통부분에서의 에너지 소비 및 $CO_2$와 환경오염물질의 추세는 자동차수와 년간주행거리, 평균 탑승자수, 연료 효율을 바탕으로 구하였다. 장래 에너지 소비와 배출, 시나리오 분석은 스톡홀름 환경연구소(SEI-B(Stockholm Environment Institute-Boston))에서 개발한 LEAP(Long Range Energy Alternative Planning System)을 이용하였다. 시나리오는 2005년부터 BaU(Business-as-Usual), CNG(Compressed Natural Gas) 버스의 도입, 경차 이용의 증가, 30$/TC와 300$/TC 탄소세 도입으로 정하였다. 1998년을 기준년도로 하고 2020년을 목표년도로 하여 시뮬레이션하였다. 분석결과 2020년까지의 전망 및 시나리오 분석을 통하여 도로자가용교통부분에서 에너지를 절감하고 $CO_2$ 및 대기오염물질을 저감하기 위하여 도입한 개별정책들을 통합하고 정책간 상승 효과를 볼 수 있도록 팩키지화시키는 것이 효과적이라고 분석되었다.

  • Establishing a public transportation transfer system that can reduce personal automobile use in the CBD and absorb the demand, thereby reducing congestion, is a necessity. However, the current transfer system and facilities are lacking in intermodal connectivity, require long transfer times, have complex flow patterns, and are lacking in information systems and convenience. The design analysis program of this study is to develop a program that executes computations of design analysis of transfer facilities by utilizing the existing design standards for facilities such as facilities for boarding and alighting, elements for convenience, and pedestrian facilities. Developing an analytical tool through which individual or integrated design analysis can be conducted on the design standards of various facilities is an important study for improving the work accuracy and efficiency of designing an actual transfer center.

  • The annual increasing rate of visitors was 9.5% in Odaesan National Park from 1989 to 1995. Ninety three percent of total visitor of Odaesan National Park has visited Woljongsa and Sogumgang area in which a motorcar access is convenient. Climbing rate of Pirobong(peak) were less seven percent of total cisitors at Woljongsa in summer and less twelve point six percent in autumn. Visiting pattern showed difference by area, seasons and a day of the week. Using rate of motorcars was higher in summer than in autumn

  • As the use of private cars increases along with the technological advancement in the automobile industries and their capabilities to supply, a wide range of issues are followed including the increase in traffic congestion costs, pavement damages and more. In spite of consistent effort to resolve such urban traffic problems, the modal share rate of private cars continuously increases, thus it is becoming more important to explore the ways to enable drivers to take reasonable measures, in self-motivated manner, by taking part of the transportation demand management policy rather than to rely on the strict enforcement of control policy. Considering that the urban transportation infrastructures are in much better shape than before, it is necessary to implement Mobility Management (MM) that induces reasonable usage of private cars by promoting the change in one's consciousness and behavior through communication. Hence, the research studies the factors that influence the mobility through the survey targeting the citizens of Busan on their awareness on the former transportation demand management policy, to explore the ways to motivate the citizens' involvement in reducing the use of private cars as a measure of Mobility Management.
