The participants of this study were 358 nursing students in a region and collected data by self-reported questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, stepwise multiple regression analysis. As a resutls, Significant positive correlations were found between patient safety competency, performance confidence, coping and patient safety management activity for nursing students. Patient safety competency, performance confidence were significant factors related to patient safety management activity but coping was not found to directly affect patient safety management activity. Thus, we propose to develop a education intervention program that considers patient safety competency, performance confidence in order to improve patient safety management activity of nursing students.
Purpose: The effects of telephone intervention on self-care practices and quality of life for gynecological cancer patients under chemotherapy was investigated. Methods: A non-equivalent control group pre-test post-test quasi-experimental design was used. The subjects were women cancer patients who had received less than two chemotherapy sessions at C university hospital of Chonnam province(26 in the experimental group: 25 in the control group). The patient's self-care practices(Na & Lee, 1999; Jang, 2004) and quality of life(Lee & Jo, 1997) were measured three times. using a questionnaire. The data was analyzed by Repeated Measures ANOVA, the Friedman test, and the Mann-Whitney test using the SPSS window version 12.0 program. Results: This study showed that the score of self-care practices and quality of life for the experimental group under telephone counseling were higher than those of the control group. Conclusion: This study revealed that a telephone intervention as supportive nursing care for women cancer patients under going chemotherapy was effective for self-care practices and qualify of life during the recovery period. Futhermore, this study also suggests that telephone counseling can serve as a continuing nursing supportive intervention for women cancer patients for the upcoming stages of further chemotherapy.

Participants included 211 nursing college students from S university in D city. Data was collected from August 14 to August 18, 2023 using a self-report questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, sem function and sobel function using the R.4.2.2 program. In this study, it was found that there was a significant positive correlation between the Confidence in Performing Core Nursing Skills, Problem-Solving Skills, and Clinical Performance, and it was confirmed that Problem-Solving Skills partially mediated the relationship between onfidence in Performing Core Nursing Skills and Clinical Performance. Therefore, it is suggested that Performing Core Nursing Skills and Problem-Solving Skills should be improved in order to improve the Clinical Performance of nursing college students.
This study aimed to identify the factors influencing the clinical competence of nurses, using a descriptive correlational study design. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 170 nurses working in a general hospital in Gwangju city and Jeollanam-do province from March 24 to May 27, 2021. There were significant differences in clinical competence according to age, marital status, and educational level. Clinical competence was significantly correlated with nursing professionalism (r=.600, p<.001), critical-thinking disposition (r=.568, p<.001), communication skills (r=.658, p<.001), and nursing practice environment (r=.353, p<.001). Factors influencing clinical competence were communication skills, nursing professionalism, critical-thinking disposition, and age, which explained 54.0% of the total variance. It is necessary to develop educational programs to improve the communication skills, nursing professionalism, and critical-thinking disposition of nurses. Additionally, Institutional and national measures are needed so that nurses can continue to work in hospitals.

Statistical analysis included descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation coefficients analysis. Results: Means of stress and self-care performance were 1.76 and 3.21, respectively. Percentage of correct answer of knowledge about tuberculosis was 71.8. Knowledge about tuberculosis was significantly different according to age (F=21.81, p<.001), marital status (F=13.79, p<.001), education (F=36.63, p<.001), and monthly income (F=16.23, p<.001). Stress was significantly different according to gender (t=3.58, p<.001). Self-care performance was significantly different according to age (F=5.74, p=.004), marital status (F=8.79, p<.001), education (F=9.15, p<.001), monthly income (F=7.87, p=.001), and attendance of tuberculosis education (t=2.34, p=.020). Self-care performance had significant correlation with knowledge about tuberculosis and stress. Purpose: This study was conducted from January to March, 2004 to examine the effect of telephone follow-up on the performance of self-care in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and on role stress of family caregivers. Method: Research design was a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design. Seventy-two participants were assigned to either the experimental group (18 cancer patients, 18 family caregivers) or the control group (18 cancer patients, 18 family caregivers). Data were collected before and after the intervention and were analyzed with paired t-test, t-test, Mann-Whitney U Test & Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Results: Performance of self-care in the experimental group undergoing telephone follow-up was significantly higher than that of the control group (t=8.016, p=0.000). Role stress of family members in the experimental group was also significantly higher than that of the control group (t=2.133, p=0.042). Conclusion: This results suggest that the telephone follow-up is effective for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and their family caregivers. Telephone follow-up can be recommended as an effective nursing intervention for self-care performance in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and to reduce role stress of family caregivers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of BSE education and practice on knowledge, self efficacy and performance in female nursing students. Method: The subjects consisted of 40 students from 2 nursing colleges. They responded to questionnaires that included knowledge, self-efficacy and performance of BSE within a 3-month interval. The experimental group was subjected to a 90 minute-educational session. Their knowledge of BSE was measured using Choi's tool and self-efficacy was measured using Champion and Scott. Result: Self-efficacy and frequency of BSE performance in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group while BSE knowledge was not significantly different between the two groups. Conclusion: Nursing students don't put their knowledge into practice. This fact suggests that changing a behavior needs something more than knowledge. In this study, the BSE education had an effect on self-efficacy and performance. Therefore, practical education needs to be reinforced for nursing students to perform BSE for their own health and to be able to demonstrate it for clients.
