A Study on the Volumetric Expansion Ratio of Rock Mass for Subsidence Behavior Analysis II (지반침하 거동특성 분석을 위한 암반의 부피팽창률에 관한 연구 II)

  • The volumetric expansion ratio of rock mass on the subsidence occurrence area can explain why the depth of the surface subsidence is lower than the height of an opening; it is because the empty space of the gangway is filled with the broken rock. But, until now, when the surface subsidence mechanism is studied without consideration of the volumetric expansion ratio, it is usually overlooked that the amount of subsidence occurrence can be overestimated. Therefore, in this study, the authors researched the subsidence occurrence mechanism with a new theoretical approaching method. The volumetric expansion ratio obtained from this method has been applied to the numerical simulations. The authors adopted the UDEC(Universal Distinct Element Code) for their discontinuum numerical analysis, because this program has an advantage for analyzing the behavior of rock discontinuities.

  • In this study a stereo digital camera system was developed. Using this system, we can collect informations such as coordinates, lengths of all objects shown in the photo image just by taking digital photograph in field. This system has the advantage of obtaining stereo images with settled exterior orientation parameters, while the accuracy slightly worsen because in a close range photogrammetry with stereo digital camera system, the base line distance is restricted within about 1m. We took images with various exposure distances and angles to objects for experimental error assessment, and analyzed the affection of image coordinates errors.

  • Mobile industry has been progressed rapidly with new mobile technique develpment. The mobile is a communication device for the young generation and give great additional images through animations and characters. It is expected that the mobile industry would elevate greatly in means of the animation characters that is connected directly, closely, and amicably to the sense of humane beings. Of those animations, 3D animation is a high communication technique that rinks to directly the expression of person in way of a sense of space, three dimension, and reality. Surely the new 3D animation will be developed constantly and in various way. It is consideralbe that the manufacture of 3D mobile animation links closely to cartoon that forms concerns of people.

  • In this paper presents new force method by using singular value decomposition. The existing force method has some advantages about analysis of truss structures such as it is easier basic concept than finite element method, which apply to analyze truss structures. However, this method has complex formulation for analysis. Therefore, in this study proposes new force method using singular value decomposition, which is both having easy basic concept and simple computation than existing force method. The proposed method is illustrated through numerical examples.

  • In stereoscopy using stereo camera system, the representative factors inducing stereoscopic depth distortions have been reported such as the inter camera distance, the convergence angle and the depth resolution. The image distance is just known to us as a factor related in optical system. In a point of view of depth distortion, it will be a factor inducing a stereoscopic depth distortion. In this paper, we focused on the proof of our opinion that the image distance is one of the weighted factors inducing depth distortion under orthostereoscopic condition.

  • Emerging high-speed next-generation Internet is enabling immersive media communication systems and applications to realize geographically distributed team collaborations while overcoming the limit of distance and time. Focusing on the reliable real-time delivery of 3D (i.e., stereo) video among corresponding parties, in this paper, key schemes for stereo video processing/display and reliable transport of stereo video packets over high-speed Internet are designed and implemented. The performance of proposed stereo video delivery system is evaluated both by emulating various network situations for quantitative comparison and by transmitting over real-world Internet up to the speed of around 100 Mbps. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed system in supporting the desired immersive communication.

  • A method is proposed to predict the deformed shape of the structure subjected to the unknown external loads using the signal from the piezoceramic sensors. Such a shape estimation is based on the linear relationship between the deformation of structure and the signal from sensor, which is calculated using finite element method. The deformed shape is, then calculated using the linear matrix and the signals from the piezoceramic sensors attached to the structures. For the purpose, a structural analysis program is developed using a multi-layerd finite element of 8 nodes with 3 displacement and one voltage degrees of freedom at each node. The multiple layers with the different material properties can be layered within the element. The incompatible mode with the element is found to be crucial to catch the bending behavior accurately. The accuracy of the program is, then, verified by being compared with the experimental results performed by Crawley. The proposed shape estimation method is also verified for the different loads and sensor size. It is shown that the results of shape estimation method using the linear matrix well predicts the deflections compared with those of finite element method.

  • 인간의 생각, 혹은 행동이나 경험을 통한 지식을 포함해서 데이터나 정보는 예술과 문화 영역에 새로운 관점을 일으키는 시각적 표현과 미디어 사이의 소통을 위한 수단이 되고 있다. 정보 와 데이터를 시각화 하는 방법은 예술의 형태를 통하여 다양하게 전개되어 왔다. 최근 예술에서 뉴미디어와 상호작용 기술의 적용은 다양한 데이터나 정보 수집을 통해 미적 표현의 가능성을 확장하거나, 관객이 작품에 능동적이고 직접적으로 참여할 수 있는 몰입 시청각 환경을 제공하며, 또한 직관적인 정보 시각화를 사용하여 상호작용적인 입체적 가상환경의 시공간 개념을 확장한다. 그러므로 관객은 수동적 수용자라기보다는 작품의 환경을 변화시키는 능동적 역할을 할 수 있다. 예술 및 디자인 영역에서 예술가의 뉴미디어 활용은 정보를 정적인 시각화 방법에서 디지털 기반 이미지 처리와 사용자 생성 시각화 방법으로 더욱 상호작용적이고 역동적인 표현으로 변형하고 있다. 미디어아트에서 시각화의 목적은 관객이나 사용자가 예술 작품에 존재하는 정보나 데이터 기반 콘텐츠를 더 쉽고 빠르게 이해하고 상호반응하도록 돕는 것이다. 본 연구는 미디어아트에서 정보나 데이터 시각화를 사용하여 작품과 관객 사이의 상호작용적 소통을 유발하는 다양한 시각적 표현 방법을 알아보기 위하여, 최근 미디어아트 사례들을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 분석 내용은 관객이 참여할 수 있는 시청각 설치 환경을 구성하는 다양한 상호작용 디자인 방법들을 작품에 적용함으로써 데이터나 정보를 시각화하는 방법, 예술 작품의 구성 요소로서 미적 표현들 생성에 관한 해석, 그리고 미디어아트를 완성하기 위한 실질적인 요인으로서 미디어아트와 관객 간의 상호작용적인 소통이 이루어지는 방법들을 포함한다. 이러한 분석들은 새로운 상호작용 시각 표현의 가능성을 제공하며, 관객이 최근 미디어아트를 미적 예술형식으로 이해하도록 도울 것이다.

  • Online games' environments have recently changed with developments of computer technique. Various factors such as respective for realistic expression, solidity, the quality of the material, shadow, should be considered. In these factors, shadow expression plays a important role for realistic one. A lot of repeated operation should be executed to provide shadow. In other words, realm division against a lot of dots to estimate objections and the degree of brightness should be divided. This paper provides effective methods to perform realistic shadow through mapping LOD of objections as shadow without drawing data to judge the realm of shadow for shadow creation.

Positioning Accuracy Analysis of KOMPSAT-3 Satellite Imagery by RPC Adjustment (RPC 조정에 의한 KOMPSAT-3 위성영상의 위치결정 정확도 분석)

  • The KOMPSAT-3 (Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-3), was launched on May 18, 2012, is an optical high-resolution observation mission of the Korea Aerospace Research Institute and provides RPC(Rational Polynomial Coefficient) for ground coordinate determination. It is however need to adjust because RPC absorbs effects of interior-exterior orientation errors. In this study, to obtain the suitable adjustment parameters of the vendor-provided RPC of the KOMPSAT-3 images, six types of adjustment models were implemented. As results, the errors of two and six adjustment parameters differed approximately 0.1m. We thus propose the two parameters model, the number of control points are required the least, to adjust the KOMPSAT-3 R PC. According to the increasing the number of control points, RPC adjustment was performed. The proposed model with a control point particularly did not exceed a maximum error 3m. As demonstrated in this paper, the two parameters model can be applied in RPC adjustment of KOMPSAT-3 stereo image.
