  • The purpose of this research is analyzing present condition, and pursuing developmental direction of consultation to department of dentistry for medical inpatient with dental trauma. This research conducted a retrospective analysis of consultation to department of dentistry for medical inpatient at Wonju Severance Christian Hospital from March 2011 to February 2017. This research analyzed chief complaint and dental diagnosis, referring department, time of consultation after dental trauma, relation between hospitalization period and time of consultation after dental trauma, relation between dental trauma and admission in the medical department due to trauma, cause and age of dental trauma occurrence, treatment of dental trauma, and revisiting rate of inpatient with dental trauma after discharge. Among all the chief complaint and dental diagnosis, dental trauma was the highest. Among all the referring departments, departments of surgery were the highest. In relation to being delayed of consultation term after dental trauma, it turned out that there's pretty high mutual relation between the hospitalization period and the consultation term after dental trauma, and the hospitalization period had the quantitative influence on the consultation term. Statistically, dental trauma and admission in the medical department due to trauma had significant relations. In case of those patients due to car accidents, they had dental trauma without exception. Statistically, patient's group with dental trauma in hospital room was younger than patient's group with dental trauma in non-hospital room. Statistically, dental trauma and treatment in hospitalization had no significant relations, and dental trauma and revisiting department of dentistry after discharge had no significant relations. For the child and adolescent inpatients hospitalized for car accidents, there is high possibility of accompanying dental trauma, and dental consultations can be delayed. For the young child inpatients, the possibility of dental trauma occurrence in hospital room is high. Moreover, treatments during hospitalization and revisiting department of pediatric dentistry after discharge are not performed well for inpatients with dental trauma. Regarding these results, it can be an alternative that improving of consultation system, dedicated workforce placement and having dental facilities and equipment in the hospital ward, education to medical doctor and dentist, communication between medical doctor and dentist. • Recently, due to the temporary closure and isolation of facilities for developmental disabilities due to the prolonged COVID-19, the pain suffered by consumers is getting worse, and there is no clear solution due to the lack of information on inpatient services. Therefore, there is a need for a service system that can prevent institutional and psychological problems for consumers. The purpose of this study is to provide systematic inpatient treatment guides, post-discharge management, and correct education for children with developmental disabilities and their guardians. After deriving the needs and improvement factors of consumers through domestic service case analysis, we conducted co-creation with end-users using the double diamond methodology. A possible service concept was derived. Accordingly, a collaborative sharing app service was proposed, and the usefulness of the service was confirmed through the usability evaluation and verification of various stakeholders. It is expected that the results of this study will be utilized in the development of an assistance system for the developmental disability ward based on user experience.

  • This study examined the factors associated with exit from and reentry into the rehabilitation center among homeless persons with mental illness. Shelter use of a total of 203 study population was monitored between 2004 and 2008. Cox's proportional hazard model was employed to analyze the factors influencing the rate of the first exit from and the first reentry into the rehabilitation center. Also, competing risk analysis was conducted to examine the factors differently associated with the type of the first exit from the rehabilitation center: a positive exit and a negative exit. This study found that homeless persons with mental illness were less likely to experience the negative exit while their resident registration status not being abolished on the first entry into the rehabilitation center, having more frequent hospitalizations during the rehabilitation center stay, being connected to the family members, having more participations into the basic rehabilitation, mental rehabilitation, and vocational rehabilitation programs during the rehabilitation center stay. Age, the number of hospitalization and of the participations into the mental rehabilitation programs during the rehabilitation center stay were associated with the rate of the first reentry into the rehabilitation center.

  • Korea's health care delivery system is based on the Medical law and the National Health Insurance Act. In order to efficiently operate limited medical resources, it is classified to use medical institutions according to the severity of the disease. The question is whether a tertiary care hospital can terminate a medical contract for a patient, if treatment for severe diseases has already been performed at a tertiary care hospital. In the case of termination of treatment, the Korean court has both a judgment that recognizes the right to terminate and a judgment that denies the termination. Among the U.S. rulings, there are rulings that order transfer to a skilled nursing facility or nursing home or home if acute treatment is no longer needed. Considering that medical resources are limited, it is necessary to acknowledge the right to terminate the contract of the medical institution when treatment by a medical institution is completed.

  • This study aims to investigate hospice care awareness, user satisfaction with intensive care unit facilities and the difference in hospice care awareness level. A survey of 160 people including the intensive care patients in capital district areas and their family members was conducted from March $10^{th}$ until $July31^{st}$ of 2013. As an analytical method, the SPSSWIN18.0 program was used and the sample size followed Cohen's sample extracting formula of G*Power 3.1, an analytical program for test power. The mean, standard deviation and regression analysis have been statistically carried out. The results indicate that the care awareness of hospices have meaningful relations with age, religion and marital status. As for the satisfaction level with hospices, the facilities in the countryside are preferred to those in the cities, and the hospice rooms with Korean floor heating system is preferred to rooms with bed. The implication of this study is expected to become a basic reference to the improvement of the hospice system, seen from the result of survey with highly favorable response for care units in hospices.
