A Study on the Learning Efficiency of the Plastic Arts Expression in College of Design on the Students Preeducation (디자인계열 대학입학생의 실기능력 유무에 따른 조형학습 효과에 대한 연구)

  • This study attempts to suggest a new direction of the plastic arts education, first by examining a variety of cases in the admission policy depending on the existence of students' preeducation; and second, by analyzing the work process of students who were admitted. The flexible admission policy should be provided to select both groups of students: students with preeducation and students without preeducation. It is requested that the uniform selectional standard adopted by most universities should be changed into the diverse standards that can evaluate different educational back ground of students. This study will be helpful for the university professors to prepare for the new educational foundation and direction by enhancing the efficiency of teaching. This study also aims to suggest the curriculum and methods of the design education to provide the effective teaching of plastic arts and there by develop the better methods of education in this area.

A Study on the Text of Conflict-Oriented Youth Play Education (배봉기 희곡에 드러난 청소년의 갈등 양상 연구)

  • In this article, I examined the conflict of youth reflected in Bae Bong Ki's plays based on theory of 'conflict'. Bae Bong Ki has been questioning the 'youth rights' in determining the content of performances, along with 'the magnetic field of college entrance examination' where most of the youth feel under huge pressure in his play. In the and , I focused on the students with the highest grade and the students with the lowest grade in the context of university entrance examination. Students who are struggling to keep the grades up are captured in this play as the educational reality of adolescents in distress. The situation of the top and bottom students is different, but both top and bottom students were too stressful to go to school. And 'the rights of the youth in deciding the content of the performance' in was a difficult topic because it collides with the right for the teacher to educate. It is expected that many plays will be created reflecting the conflict of youth in the future, and youth theater as well as discussions upon it will be enriched.

  • Earth Science is the study of Earth, where diverse organisms live, and it mainly focuses on the healthy, wealthy, and comfortable environment for our descendants. UNESCO and IUGS recently established the International Working Group on Medical Geology (1996), IGCP 454 Medical Geology (2000-2004), and International Medical Geology Association (IMGA, 2006) with the primary concerns of increasing awareness of Medical Geology among scientists, medical specialists, and the general public. Medical Geology and IMGA have been very successful in informing(educating) about the relationship between geological factors and health problems in humans and animals in the world through numerous international meetings, seminars, workshops, symposiums, and publications. Since there is a close correlation between Earth Science and Medical/ Dental Sciences as shown in the Medical Geology and IMGA, Earth Science, as with other areas in science, (i.e., Biology, Chemistry and Physics) should be included in the Medical Education Eligibility Test (MEET) and Dental Education Eligibility Test (DEET) for the Medical and Dental Graduate School. In this brief note, services and activities of UNESCO IGCP 454 Medical Geology and IMGA are introduced, sothat the inclusion of Earth Science as a subject requirement in the MEET and DEET can be considered. Such outcome will balance the development of Science Education in Korea.

Item Analysis of information-related foundation in the Japanese National Center Test for University Admissions (일본 대학입시센터시험 정보관계기초 문항 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze of Information-related subjects on industry department of college scholastic ability test in Korea and Japan. These were compared with information-related foundation and data-technology foundation, programming on industry department test of vocational education area in college scholastic ability test in Korea and Japan and suggest implications of items development of college scholastic ability test in Korea. Based on the results of study, the following recommendations were made for new direction of items development of college scholastic ability test in Korea. First, Information-related foundation on industry department of National Center for University Entrance Examinations in Japan consisted of basic informations of agricultural, industry, commercial department etc. of vocational education area. Similarly it is necessary to introduce 'computer-related foundation' consist of common contents of several departments of college scholastic ability test in Korea. Second, it is necessary to diverse sub-item situations different from main item situations and introduce diverse situations of set type items of college scholastic ability test in Korea. Third, test for National Center for University Entrance Examinations in Japan consisted of several types items like this selecting answers on multi-answer group. it is necessary to introduce short answer type, completion type and supply type of college scholastic ability test in Korea.

Can Welfare States Solve the Problem of Excessive Shadow Education? (복지국가는 사교육 과잉 문제를 풀 수 있나)

  • This research suggests a solution to the problem of excessive shadow education in Korea as a way to compare the shadow education and income redistribution programs of advanced welfare states. The government has introduced a variety of measures to overcome the problem of excessive shadow education for a long time. However, the trend of increasing shadow education costs has not stopped. The excessive use of shadow education is definitely related to university entrance. But university entrance is not the only concern. In our country, the meaning of university is closely related to the standard of future life. Therefore, participation in shadow education is a reasonable choice by parents or students to ensure a stable future. The belief that the future life can be stabilized when you go to a prestigious university and the reality in the labor market, which reflects this belief, is the essential cause of excessive shadow education. Advanced welfare states such as Sweden and Germany provide hope for our nation. There are shadow education in these countries, too. However, the importance is not so great and its roles are not necessarily directly related to college entrance exams. For the income redistribution programs guarantee the life of all members of society at a certain level. The solution to the problem of excessive shadow education is not the admission system but the improvement of the income security system.

  • 치과마취시의 응급사항이란 마취를 시행하는 도중이나, 후에 정상적으로 기대되었던 현상외의 변이로 나타난 합병증과 같다고 생각되며 이들 합병증의 치료를 소홀히 하였을때 치명적인 상태까지도 도달할 수 있다. 마취의 효과는 주사침이 조직내로 자입된 후, 마취액이 주입되어 해당신경이 분포되는 부위에 동통감각이 소실됨으로써 얻어지게 된다. 그러므로 주사침의 자입시나 주입된 마취액에 의한 부작용이 없어야 한다.

  • 우리는 지금 정보화 사회로의 변화를 시작하고 있다. 이 변화에 대처하기 위해서는 먼저 고등학교 교과과정에 컴퓨터를 정식교과로 넣고 이것을 대학입시에 반영하는 일이다. 두번째로는 초고속 정보통신망을 외국보다 빨리 까는 일이다. 그리고 아직도 저개발수준인 소프트웨어 육성에 최선을 다해야 할 것이다.

  • 당신에게도 도서관은 어떤 의미인가? 당신의 기억 속 그곳은 입시나 취업준비의 중압감을 안고 공부했던 곳, 혹은 보고 싶은 책은 항상 대출 중인 휑한 곳이 아니었던가. 현재 상황도 별반 다르지는 않다. 작은 도서관 운동등 변화를 시도하는 움직임이 늘곤 있지만, 아직까지 우리의 공공 도서관은 멀고, 협소하고, 자료도 별로 없는 초라한 형색이다. 하지만 도서관의 궁핍한 처지를 탓하기 전에 자신에게 한번 물어보라. 바쁜 일상과 먼 거리를 핑계 삼아 '도서관은 나와 상관없는 곳'으로 치부하지는 않았는지 말이다.
