  • 현재 우리나라에서는 이미 오래 전에 만들어진 도로교통사고 자료양식을 수정 없이 사용해오고 있으며, 이 교통사고 자료에 대한 정확한 분석과 세심한 통계 분석 체계가 구축되지 않고 있는 상황이다. 이를 위해 교통사고 발생과 관련된 교통사고처리 체계의 개선이 필요하다. 개성 방안으로 사고 현황 조사서인 104호 서식의 자료 항목을 공간적 관계나 자료간의 상관관계에 따라 연계하여 정보화하여 관리 및 분석 할 수 있는 방안을 제시하여 교통사고 자료를 지형공간정보체계 (GSIS, Geo-Spatial Information System)기반으로 구축하여 기존에 텍스트 형태의 자료 수집이 아닌 PDA를 이용하여 수신 받은 후 임시 저장된 자료를 사고 자료 양식에 맞게 입력 및 저장, 출력할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하였다. 또한, 교통안전정책 및 각종 사업에 필요한 자료로 이용되는 통계 자료를 교통사고 자료를 토대로 교통사고 발생원인 및 특징에 관하여 점, 선, 면의 공간 분석 기법을 적용한 분석 시스템 개발되어 그 활용성이 기대된다.

A Study on Strategy Direction for Promoting the Geo-spatial Information Industry by Input-Output Analysis (산업연관분석을 통한 공간정보산업의 특징 및 정책방향성에 대한 연구)

  • In this study, we derived the characteristics of the geo-spatial information industry by using input-output analysis. For this analysis, we classified the geo-spatial information industry and reorganized the input-output table. And we derived the production inducement coefficient, index of the power of dispersion and index of the sensitivity of dispersion in the geo-spatial information industry. We confirmed that geo-spatial information industry has a small production inducement coefficient and a great forward linkage effect. Based on these facts, we suggested the strategy direction as follows: 1) building the industrial eco-system, 2) managing both advance and applicability enhancement, 3) Establishing from a long-term point of view.

A Study on Countermeasure for CCN Interest Flooding Attack (콘텐츠 중심 네트워킹 환경에서의 Interest Packet Flooding 대응 연구)

  • To enhance the efficiency of network, content-centric networking (CCN), one of future Internet architectures, allows network nodes to temporally cache transmitted contents and then to directly respond to request messages which are relevant to previously cached contents. Also, since CCN uses a hierarchical content-name, not a host identity like source/destination IP address, for request/response packet routing and CCN request message does not include requester's information for privacy protection, contents-providers/ network nodes can not identify practical requesters sending request messages. So to send back relevant contents, network nodes in CCN records both a request message and its incoming interfaces on Pending Interest Table (PIT). Then the devices refer PIT to return back a response message. If PIT is exhausted, the device can not normally handle request/response messages anymore. Hence, it is needed to detect/react attack to exhaust PIT. Hence, in this paper, we propose improved detection/reaction schemes against attacks to exhaust PIT. In practice, for fine-grained control, this proposal is applied to each incoming interface. Also, we propose the message framework to control attack traffic and evaluate the performance of our proposal.

  • Loss of posterior support may cause extrusion of antagonistic teeth and excessive wear of remaining teeth which often leads to the destruction of the occlusal plane. In such cases, it is critical to verify the need to increase vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO). Should you increase VDO, provisionalization is crucial in evaluating function and esthetics. Double scanning technique is a useful method when fabricating definitive restoration that mimic provisional restoration. In this case, a patient with apparently no loss of VDO and insufficient interocclusal space for dental materials due to loss of posterior support and extrusion of antagonistic teeth was rehabilitated using double scanning technique.

  • 공간 데이터 웨어하우스에서 구축기는 의사절정을 위한 기반 데이터의 구축을 담당한다. 일반적으로 공간 데이터 웨어하우스의 데이터 적재는 잦은 갱신으로 인한 서버의 부하를 줄이기 위하여 구축기에 적재할 데이터를 임시 저장하고 일정주기마다 적재하는 방법을 이용한다. 이때 구축기의 정보는 차원테이블에 대한 갱신정보와 사실 테이블의 일부 갱신정보만을 유지하므로 여러 차원 테이블로 구성된 사실 테이블의 갱신은 공간 데이터 웨어하우스 서버에서 수행해야 한다. 사실 테이블의 갱신연산은 연관된 차원 테이블들에 의해 처리되므로 높은 처리 비용이 필요하다. 따라서 사실테이블의 처리로 인해 적재시간이 증가하며, 이는 사용자의 의사결정 응답시간을 증가시킨다. 본 논문에서는 공간 데이터 웨어하우스의 구축기에서 사실테이블의 사전 계산 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 차원 테이블 및 사실 테이블에 대한 메타정보와 추가적으로 기록되어야할 데이터 정보를 구축기에 유지한다. 구축기는 이 정보를 이용하여 삽입 연산시 사실 테이블에 적재할 갱신 정보를 사전에 계산하고, 이를 적재주기에 함께 적재한다. 따라서 사실 테이블의 신을 데이터 적재 이전에 구축기에서 계산하므로 공간 데이터 웨어하우스 서버에서 발생하는 높은 처리 비용을 감소시킬 수 있다. 공간 데이터 웨어하우스 사용자의 의사결정 응답시간을 감소시킨다.

Performance Evaluation of Hash Join Algorithm on Flash Memory SSDs (플래쉬 메모리 SSD 기반 해쉬 조인 알고리즘의 성능 평가)

  • Hash join is one of the core algorithms in databases management systems. If a hash join cannot complete in one-pass because the available memory is insufficient (i.e., hash table overflow), however, it may incur a few sequential writes and excessive random reads. With harddisk as the tempoary storage for hash joins, the I/O time would be dominated by slow random reads in its probing phase. Meanwhile, flash memory based SSDs (flash SSDs) are becoming popular, and we will witness in the foreseeable future that flash SSDs replace harddisks in enterprise databases. In contrast to harddisk, flash SSD without any mechanical component has fast latency in random reads, and thus it can boost hash join performance. In this paper, we investigate several important and practical issues when flash SSD is used as tempoary storage for hash join. First, we reveal the va patterns of hash join in detail and explain why flash SSD can outperform harddisk by more than an order of magnitude. Second, we present and analyze the impact of cluster size (i.e., va unit in hash join) on performance. Finally, we emperically demonstrate that, while a commerical query optimizer is error-prone in predicting the execution time with harddisk as temporary storage, it can precisely estimate the execution time with flash SSD. In summary, we show that, when used as temporary storage for hash join, flash SSD will provide more reliable cost estimation as well as fast performance.

  • Agenesis of permanent tooth in adolescent patients can be treated either by orthodontic treatment for space closure or by maintaining the space until implant restoration can be carried out in adult. However, gradual atrophy of alveolar bone width makes it difficult to restore the prosthesis in the future or may cause unaesthetic results. Therefore, maintaining of not only the missing space but also the alveolar bone width should be considered. This case is a treatment whereby a temporary replacement of missing 2 mandibular incisors in adolescent patient was carried out using 2 temporary anchorage devices (TADs). Two TADs were placed horizontally 2 - 3 mm below the top of alveolar ridge, and fixed with artificial teeth by stainless steel wires extended. During the 2 year follow-up, neither gingival inflammation nor loss of the TADs have occurred. In the radiographic evaluation, the growth of the adjacent alveolar bone was not inhibited, and the width of the alveolar bone was maintained.

Modular Building for Urban Disaster Housing: Case Study of Urban Post-Disaster Housing Prototype in New York

  • Disasters that destroy homes and infrastructure and cause significant financial damage are becoming more common as population centers grow. In addition, several natural disasters have resulted in a major loss of life and created countless refugees due to damage to housing. After major catastrophic disasters, it is very important that the government agencies respond to post-disaster housing issues and provide resources such as temporary housing before the full rehabilitation and reconstruction of destroyed and damaged housing. To provide affordable temporary housing for residents who may lose their homes as the result of a catastrophic disaster including storms, government agencies must develop a post-disaster housing prototype. In general, government agencies should explore several different forms of factory-built single-story, single family housing, such as modular homes, panelized homes, and precut homes. In urban cities including New York and Seoul, it is very important to provide housing which supports the demand for higher-density living spaces than single-family homes or trailers typically available due to the high population density and the desire to resettle as many residents as possible in their former neighborhoods. This study identified the urban post-disaster housing prototypes that may provide higher density housing with high quality living spaces, high air quality, and energy efficiency as well as rapid deployment. A case study of "Urban Post-Disaster Housing Prototype Program in New York" was conducted through a detailed interview process with a designer, engineer, contractor, the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) in New York, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and temporary occupants. An appropriate disaster housing program that can provide living spaces for victims of disasters that keeps residents in their community and allows them to live and work in their neighborhoods was developed.

  • This paper introduces the parking guide service developed to address the inconvenience of parking in areas where demand for parking spaces is high, such as busy streets and tourist attractions. Due to difficulties in measuring and developing the actual parking lot while driving the car, we created a temporary parking lot and created Arduino RC Car to replace the actual car. Video processing based on Open CV allows users to identify the entire parking lot, parking space, and completed parking space, and track moving cars, and this information has been developed to enable users to see through the application. The application allows the user to book the desired parking space and introduce a way-finding algorithm to guide them through the optimal path to the selected parking compartment.

  • There are 24 airways in Incehon IFR, including 11 domestic routes and 13 international routes. The airways designated by ministry of Transportation and Construction are the routes for aircraft to fly being serviced by air traffic control system for flight safety. This study reviewed safety situation of existing permanent airways within Incheon IFR and temporary airways connecting North and South Korea. The study tried to identify the problems related to airway operation and to suggest solutions to the questionable area. The main findings are as follows: It is necessary to improve the existing normal airway systems and enlargement of the route. The airway A593 has to be upgraded to normal route. The temporary airways established to connect Seoul and Pyongyang also needs to be upgraded by air traffic control transfer agreement between two Koreas.
