전문 데이터베이스를 구축하는 방법은 이미지, ASCII, HTML, SGML PDF 등으로 구분할 수 있다. 특히 PDF는 구축이 용이하고 제한된 기능이기는 하지만 비교적 저렴한 비용으로 전문 데이터베이스를 구축할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리말의 지원이 가능한 Zwon사의 PDF 포맷을 이용하여 학위논문을 대상으로 데이터베이스를 구축하였다.

치매라는 말은 Dement라는 라틴어에서 유래된 것으로써 '정상적인 마음과는 거리가 멀어진것', '정신이 없어진 것'이라는 의미를 지니고 있다. 치매는 나이가 들어감에 따라 정상적으로 발달한 뇌가 후천적인 외상이나 질병 등 외부적인 요인에 의해 손상되거나 파괴되어 언어ㆍ학습ㆍ지능 등에 대한 전반적인 인지기능과 고등정신기능이 비정상적으로 감퇴되는 복합적인 임상증후군을 포괄적으로 이르는 것을 말한다.

아직도 따가운 햇빛이 내려 쪼이는 초가을의 날씨, 이날따라 서울의대 구내는 조용하기만하다. 서울대학본부의 관악캠퍼스 이전 때문인지 마주보이는 구 문리대 본부건물이 마냥 쓸쓸하기만 하다. 그러나 연구의 전당으로서 의대건물은 너무나 의젖한 대조를 이룬다. 조용한 연구실에서 서울의대 기생충학 서병설 주임교수는 차분히 기자를 맞이해준다. 임상을 떠난 기초교실인 때문일까? 학자풍이 잔잔한 미소는 매서우면서도 온화하다.

The Incheon Medical Center Institutional Review Board (IRB), a department that reflects the characteristics of Incheon Medical Center, a medical and public institution, was established in 2013. IRB contributes to performing its role as a local accountable care hospital and protecting researchers and subjects by proving the ethics of research conducted at the medical center. So far, IRB has reviewed a total of 80 research proposals for human subject research and human-derived material research, and it currently exists as an independent department directly under the president of the medical center. This paper aims to explain the registration and preservation of IRB-related records, the maintenance of the Records Management Standard Table and related regulations, and archives, as well as to present limitations and improvements in the disclosure, utilization, and classification of records.

Recently, researches for the integration and standardization of clinical data in the Western medicine and Korean medicine is in progress. If an integration of similar clinical data as well as heterogeneous clinical data is possible based on one standardization, we can able to derive implicit medical knowledge from integrated clinical data. In this paper, we implemented Korean clinical database based on internationally known CDISC standardization to efficiently store Korean clinical data and constructed E-CRF system for convenient data input in clinical sites. Furthermore, we showed example of an integration of Korean clinical data from 4 clinical sites. The results of our study will help to establish the foundation for the extraction of implicit medical knowledge from integrated clinical data. Also, our results may support efficient management through data integration, prevention of repetitive or unnecessary clinical trials, facilitation of collaborative study and convenient research through the distribution of refined clinical data.

A microscope is the fundamental research and diagnostic apparatus for clinical investigation of signaling transduction, morphological changes and physiological tracking of cells and intact tissues from patients in the biomedical laboratory science. Proper use, care and maintenance of microscope with comprehensive understanding in mechanism are fully requested for reliable image data and accurate interpretation for diagnosis in the clinical laboratory. The standard operating procedure (SOP) for light microscopes includes performance procedure, brief information of all mechanical parts of microscopes with systematic troubleshooting mechanism depending on the laboratory capacity. Maintenance program encompasses cleaning objective, ocular lenses and inner optics; replacement and calibration of light source; XY sample stage management; point spread function (PSF) measurement for confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM); quality control (QC) program in fluorescent microscopy; and systematic troubleshooting. Laser safety is one of the concern for medical technologists engaged in CLSM laboratory. Laser safety guideline based on the laser classification and risk level, and advisory lab wear for CLSM users are also expatiated in this overview. Since acquired image data presents a wide range of information at the moment of acquisition, well-maintained microscopes with proper microscopic maintenance program are impulsive for its interpretation and diagnosis in the clinical laboratory.

Quality control test in this field of study were carried out in 3 categories, radionuclidic purity, chemical purity and radiochemical purity. Also, indication efficiency was tested every 3 hours changed after binding the radiopharmaceutical to see how long the medicine is available for usage after indicating. The result showed that currently used radiopharmaceutical have good radionuclidic purity and chemical purity. However, radiochemical purity indication showed small differences depending on indication method and indication period. Radiopharmaceutical are indicated by treatment providers, so they need to pay more attention to the indication process and quality control to provide more efficient treatment.

병원에서 사용되는 임상용 모니터의 관리는 중요하다. 모니터의 기본적 관리는 휘도이며, 휘도에서도 균일도가 가장 먼저 관리되는 대상이다. 특히 LCD 모니터인 경우 균일도에 문제가 모니터의 교체주기와 일치하는 경우가 많다. 휘도에 대한 평가는 여러 가지가 존재하지만, 본 연구에서는 AAPM TG18에 따라 TG18-UNL10, TG18-UNL80을 이용하여 휘도의 균일도를 조사하였다. 이 조사과정에서 측정값 중 가장 높은 수치를 기준으로 나머지 값의 편차를 구하는 방법과 평균값을 이용하여 측정값의 편차를 구하는 방법 두 가지를 사용하였으며, 두 가지 방법의 유의성을 알아보고자 휘도의 편차 변화량 즉, 균일도를 측정하였다. 휘도 균일도의 정량평가는 향후 모니터의 관리에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 인자로써 측정기간 중 변화량은 매우 적게 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제시된 최대, 최소값의 편차나 평균값의 상대 편차값 모두 유의한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
