Design and Implementation of Embedded Ethernet Module (임베디드 이더넷 모듈의 설계 및 구현)

  • Upon the changes of human life style due to the distribution of ultra-high speed internet services and the development of high-tech information equipment, the idea of necessity fer home networking has been widely accepted. Thus, "embedded ethernet module" was designed in this paper for the stabilization of home networking by using 8051 MCU, Hardwired TCP/IP (W3150A). By executing remote software on established simple web-server on the target machine, controlling electric equipment became available elsewhere. With this module, establishing a low-cost home automations system would become possible in a ubiquitous society.

  • The necessity of the home network have been enlarged gradually according to the distribution of ultra-high speed internet, the expansion of a digital information equipment and the change of a life pattern. In this paper, we proposed the embedded ethernet module that could be operate on eight bit system, but it could control home appliance with full ethernet speed. The embedded ethernet module consists of 8051 MCU and Hardware TCP/IP. In this module, we construct simple web server and port remote control program for I/O device control. We verified through internet that the developed embedded ethernet module could control and check home appliances anywhere and anytime. We expect the developed ethernet module can build up niche market at home network. And it will be helpful to activate home network market.

  • Accidents are steadily occurring due to machine defects and carelessness during LNG storage operations. In previous studies, an environmental sensor module capable of measuring pressure, temperature, gas concentration, and flow to detect danger in advance was developed and the response speed according to the amount of leaked gas was measured. This paper proposes the development of a wired and wireless communication module that transmits data measured by the environmental sensor module to embedded devices connected to wired and wireless networks of SPI, UART, and LTE. First, a data communication module capable of interworking with an environmental sensor is designed. Design a protocol between devices in the Local Control Part and wired and wireless protocols in the Local Control Part and Remote Control Part. Ethernet, WiFi, and LTE communication modules were designed, and UART and SPI channels that can be linked with embedded controllers were designed. As a result, it was confirmed through a UI (User Interface) that each embedded device transmits data measured by the environmental sensor module while simultaneously communicating on a wired and wireless basis.

  • 기존의 임베디드 기기의 하드웨어는 리눅스의 장점에도 불구하고 임베디드 기기들의 프로세서나 메모리 등의 하드웨어 자원이 Built-in 형태로 제공되어 시스템 운용 환경 변화에 맞춘 대응이 어렵다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 i.MX6Q SABRE Board for Smart Devices를 참조하여 메모리를 교체할 수 있도록 SO-DIMM을 장착하고 PCIe 이더넷을 추가한 개발보드를 만들었다. 그리고 개발보드에 추가 및 변경 된 하드웨어 디바이스를 활성화한 새로운 임베디드 시스템을 이식하는 방법을 제시한다. 구현 및 성능 분석 결과 새로운 임베디드 시스템에서 운용자는 시스템 운용 시 환경 변화에 대응하여 메모리를 바꾸어 장착할 수 있게 되었고 이로 인해 시스템의 요구사항에 따라 자원의 확정성 및 유연성이 높아짐을 확인하였다.

  • In the past, control and monitor of a large number of instruments is a specialized area, which requires an expensive dedicated module to implement. However, with the recent development of embedded technology, various products capable of performing M&C (Monitor and Control) have been released, and the scope of application is expanding. Accordingly, it is possible to more easily build a small M&C environment than before. In this paper, we discussed a method to replace the M&C of the VLBI system, which had to be implemented through a specialized hardware product, with an inexpensive general imbeded technology. Memory based data transmission, reception and storage is a technology that is already generalized not only in VLBI but also in the network field, and more effective M&C can be implemented when some items of Ethernet are optimized for the VLBI (Very Long Baseline Interferometer) system environment. In this paper, we discuss in depth the design and implementation for the multidrop based IoT architecture.

  • In this paper, FPGA It/w and S/W Embedded system for LDM remote control is implemented. XScale CPU is used on developed system and in communcation ethenet and serial is used. CPU interface with H/W LDM rotation and to drive LDM FPGA logic is implemented, to transmit LDM data from long distance command packet is composed, for S/W Embedded linux is used to design linux device driver and linux application program. This S/W is run by module so by loading this module to linu)( file system it can do any movement. Also by compiling Embedded linux to the system it can lower the price of the system. By using this H/W and S/W theory it can be used on any other embedded system.

Independent I/O Relay Class Design Using Modbus Protocol for Embedded Systems

  • Communication between system modules is applied using the Modbus protocol in industrial sites including smart factories, industrial drones, building energy management systems, PLCs, ships, trains, and airplanes. The existing Modbus was used for serial communication, but the recent Modbus protocol is used for TCP/IP communication.The Modbus protocol supports RTU, TCP and ASCII, and implements and uses protocols in embedded systems. However, the transmission I/O devices for RTU, TCP, and ASCII-based protocols may differ. For example, RTU and ASCII communications transmit on a serial-based communication protocol, but in some cases, Ethernet TCP/IP transmission is required. In particular, since the C language (object-oriented) is used in embedded systems, the complexity of source code related to I/O registers increases. In this study, we designed software that can logically separate I/O functions from embedded devices, and designed the execution logic of each instance requiring I/O processing through a delegate class instance with Modbus RTU, TCP, and ASCII protocol generation. We designed and experimented with software that can separate communication I/O processing and logical execution logic for each instance.
