Real-time Air Quality Monitoring System Based on Wireless Network (무선네트워크기반 공기질 실시간 모니터링 시스템)

  • In this paper, a real-time air quality monitoring system based on wireless network is designed and implemented for industrial park or multiuse facilities. The existing gas detector is high price and hard to apply the remote monitoring system. On the other hand, demand for air quality monitoring is increasing because of industrial gas accident, air pollution, and so on. In Korea, indoor air regulation was established by law. According to indoor air regulation, CO2, CO, and NO2 are important gases as the air quality standard. So we study the gas detector for indoor air quality and the wireless network system. The wireless network consist of sensor network and WCDMA to apply various place. To verify the performance of the implemented gas detector, the gas measurement experiment is performed in laboratory environment by using the realized gas detecting wireless sensor node. And we evaluate the experiment results.

Wireless Networked System for Transmission Path Self-Calibration of Laser Equipment (레이저 장비의 전송 경로 자가 교정을 위한 무선 네트워크 시스템)

  • IIoT stands for Industrial Internet of Things used in manufacturing, healthcare, and transportation in networked smart factories. Recently, IIoT's environment requires an automated control system through intelligent cognition to improve efficiency. In particular, IIoT can be applied to automatic calibration of production equipment for improved management in industrial environments. Such automation systems require a wireless network for transmitting industrial data. Self-calibration systems in laser transmission paths using wireless networks can save resources and improve production quality by real-time monitoring and remote control of laser transmission path. In this paper, we propose a wireless networked system for self-calibration of laser equipment that requires a laser transmission path, and we show the results of the prototype evaluation. The self-calibration system of laser equipment measures the coordinates of the laser points with sensors and sends them to the host using the proposed application protocol. We propose a wireless network service for the wired motor controller to align the laser coordinates. Using this wireless network, the host controls the motor by sending a control command of the motor controller in an HTTP message based on the received coordinate values. Finally, we build a prototype system of the proposed design to verify the detection performance and analyze the network performance.

An Extensible Smart Home IoT System Based on Low-power Networks (저전력 네트워크 기반의 확장 용이한 스마트 홈 IoT 시스템)

  • There are increasing interests on smart home systems. However, most of the existing works focus on the functionality itself. In this paper, we propose an extensible smart home system based on low power networking such as CoAP, 6LoWPAN, and Zigbee. The proposed home IoT system consists of Home APP, Home Server, Home Broker, and Power Devices. Each component of the system is connected by the low-power network technologies aforementioned. As the end device, Power Device senses the current consumption of the attached appliance and controls the power to it. Power Device reports the sensing data to Home Server via Home Broker. The Home Broker enhances the scalability of the system. Home Broker extends the service area and the user's services, and it manages the connection of the underlying devices and processes, and transmits data to Home Server from Power Devices. Through the experimental evaluation, we show that the proposed system achieves the design goals such as extensibility and low power networking.

Vehicle Speed Measurement System based on Wireless Sensor Network (무선 센서네트워크 기반 차량속도 측정 시스템)

  • The architecture of WSN based Vehicle Speed Measurement System is presented in this paper from Telematics Sensor Network(TSN) to Management System. To verify the feasibility of the system, we implemented the vehicle speed measurement system and evaluated the accuracy of velocity measured by the system in our testbed, an old highway located near Kyungbu highway. The system performed over 95% of accuracy at 80kmph from the measurement. In addition, the battery life time of the sensor node was evaluated by simulation analysis with real measured current consumption profiles. Assuming the maximum average daily traffic in 2005, the battery life time is expected to be over 1.6 year from the simulation result.

  • This study intended to demonstrate a general system as an web server implemented by pure software solution and focused on collecting data by remote control through Internet and constructing its' control frame. To achieve these, this study suggested an optimized, low-power, ultra tiny embedded web server. When unpredictable accidents, such as heat sensor or industrial disasters, happen, it will connect sensors collecting building information each other by network and obtain final results via web porting, web hardware control or porting, or hardware test process in a boot loader on the basis of StrongARM SA-1110 processor.

  • 본 연구에서는 JXTA 기반의 P2P 컴퓨팅 기술을 J2ME 와 MIDP의 기술과 접목하여 새로운 JXTA 기반의 모바일 P2P 솔류션 구현을 가능하도록 한다. MIDP에서 제공하는 API는 무선 JXTA피어를 창조하는데 기초 역할을 수행하지만 그럼에도 불구하고, MIDP의 제한된 라이브러리, XML 파서 부족등의 한계가 있다. 그래서 이러한 자원의 한계를 극복하기 위해 중간에 릴레이 서버를 두어 제한된 환경에서 서비스 제공을 담당한다. JXTA의 가장 중요한 설계 선택중의 하나는 피어에 의해 사용되는 운영체제나 개발언어를 가정하지 않는 것이다. JXTA프로토콜 규격은 명시적으로 네트워크 피어가 소규모 임베디드 장치에서 대규모 슈퍼컴퓨터 클러스터에 이르는 모든 종류의 장치가 될 수 있다. 이러한 기술에 J2ME의 모바일 기능을 추가한 JXTA를 사용하여 기존의 제한된 메시지 전달방법을 탈피하여 JXTA 기반의 P2P 시스템을 만드는데 있다.

  • 네트워크 속도가 발전되고 하드디스크의 비용이 감소함에 따라 NAS(Network Access Storage) 시장이 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 현재 상용화된 많은 NAS는 고성능의 하드웨어를 기반으로 하기 때문에 높은 가격대를 형성하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 NAS Management Software를 임베디드 보드에 최적화하기 위해 어떠한 요소들이 NAS의 성능에 영향을 미치는지 분석한다. 이후 운영체제에서 관리하는 파일 시스템을 데이터베이스 또는 세션에 옮기는 방법을 제안한다. 마지막으로 기존의 시스템과 비교를 통해 우수성을 보인다.

  • Dense meteorological data are hard to be collected on the limited urban areas because of vest cost which is required to install the corresponding sensors on the areas. Recently, to overcome this problem, the sensor network technique comes to the fore. This paper studies an application to service the meteorological map using mobile phone sensors. A design results for system implementation are introduced in this paper.

  • DxR 플랫폼은 바이오 공간융합 생체신호들의 데이터 수집 및 분석, DB 구축을 위한 하드웨어 시스템 개발을 위한 목적으로 설계된 제품으로 실시간 생체신호처리 임베디드 운영체제 탑재 및 S/W 적용이 가능한 다기능 Indoor용 바이오/공간 융합형 플랫폼이다. 본 플랫폼의 주요 특징은 기존 미디어 프로세서 성능보다 더욱 향상된 500Mhz MIPS의 프로세서가 적용되어 시스템 전체의 성능향상이 되었다는 점이며, 다양한 입출력 Port 들을 통해, 생체신호처리에 활용할 수 있고, 유.무선 네트워크 기능을 통해, 수집된 정보의 저장 및 전송을 위한 유연한 환경을 제공할 수 있다.

Wired/Wireless Gateway System Supporting LAN-to-LAN VPN with Multi-Queuing Realtime Traffic Shaping (다중큐잉 실시간 트래픽쉐이핑을 적용한 네트워크간 VPN 지원 유무선공유기 시스템)

  • In order to build network infrastructure to implement the aforementioned advantages enabling smart device users to work anywhere, professional support and expensive VPN devices are required. This is a barrier to supplying VPN devices to small and medium-sized institutes. To address this issue, this study aims to implement OpenVPN, OpenSSH and iproute based on the OpenWRT platform which is an embedded OS for open networks in affordable open wired/wireless gateway H/W platforms to support the inter-network VPN. In addition, the network environment can be maintained optimal by applying a "multi-queuing real-time traffic shaping technology" to VPN tunnels, although channel quality changes.
