Three grades of activated carbon fibers (ACFs) were prepared from various precursors of plantic, synthetic, and mixed fabrics of viscose rayon and cotton. The ACFs an exhibited type I isotherms on the adsorption of nitrogen or argon. Micropore analysis revealed that the ACFs have uniform micropore size distribution in which their peak diameters were in the range of $5.6{\pm}0.3{\AA}$. The BET surface area of ACFs up to $1600m^2g^{-1}$ was proportional to the adsorption capacity of iodine. The BET values of the ACFs prepared were proportional to the burn-off degree of the products.

Lipoxygenase, peroxidase and catalase activities were determined in tissues and brines of refrigerated dill pickling cucumbers in response to pickling process, storage and $H_2O_2$. Lipoxygenase was almost inactivated within 1 day exposure to dill pickling brine, and then gradually declined during storage. In contrast, peroxidase activity in cucumber tissue decreased steadily for 4 days after exposure to dill pickling brine. Catalase was present in fresh cucumber tissues, but only slight activity was observed after submerging cucumbers in pickling brine. Lipoxygenase, peroxidase and catalase activities were rapidly inactivated in cucumbers exposed to brine containing $H_2O_2$.

Only small numbers of medium-sized manufacturers have adopted a production management system. They have difficulty maintaining production cost and progress management, because they have used the ways that win a contract, not mass production system like a big company. Also a small company has to change standard features of products whenever customers want, by means of non-standardization and small quantity production method. As a result, it has been very difficult for a small company to establish a proper production management system. So, this paper tried to make a study about increasing production management system, using QR codes in a small-sized manufacturer with the ways that win a contract, based on real application case.

The objective of this study is to prepare a source data in order to establish a standardization of scientific and technical terms in Korean language. This will contribute to accelerate the production of Korean databases in scientific and technical field and will be used as the most convenient search tool for accessing to the foreign database. This study includes the construction of the multi-lingual thesaurus comprising of Korean, English, and Japanese. First of all a theoretical background on thesaurus is reviewed, and terms are collected from JICST Thesaurus, English-Japanese List and JICST Thesaurus, Japanese-English List published by JICST in 1987. This multi-lingual thesaurus covers 38,318 terms of Korean descriptors, 2,870 terms of Korean non-descriptors, 38,318 terms of English descriptors, 11,910 terms of English non-descriptors, and 38,318 terms of Japanese descriptors, 9,789 terms of Japanese non-descriptors.

This study aims at analysing the daylight condition of the existing and the newly planned apartment complex due to the azimuth angle, and throughout that result, presenting the necessity of new concept of architectural law for apartment complex design in the matter of daylight condition. For this purpose selecting one apartment complex which showed typical shape of '=' or 'ㅁ', 3D daylight analysis was applied for the existing condition. And then after new complex was planned according to the architectural law, additional 3D analysis on the daylight with the various conditions were accomplished. This 3D analysis for daylight condition can give accurate results and design direction which are suitable for the new complex plan of apartment houses.

This study was carried out to investigate reasonable Period of egg production for incubation and to survey the change of sex ratio with the age as the preliminary work to make breed which can produce progeny in controlled sex ratio. The analyzed data was obtained from the record of incubations during 165-262 hys of age in White Leghorn. The results can be summarized as follows: 1. It was appeared that the fertility and hatchability were increased with the egg produced over 7 months of age. 2. It was tendency that the fertility and hatchability of the flock produced a more female chicken (40% flock) were higher than those of flock produced a more male chicken (60% flock). 3. The variation of sex ratio with the age was wider in 60% flock than in 40% flock 4. 60% flock showed heavier egg weight and body weight, in a while, 40% flock better sexual maturity and hen- housed egg production. 5. There was a negative correlation between sex ratio and henhoused egg production in 60% flock, but 40% flock appeared a positive correlation.

Oxidative stress has been implicated in cutaneous damage in various inflammatory skin diseases, including atopic dermatitis. The present study was undertaken to investigate the antioxidative and anti-inflammatory activities of the extract of Duchesnea chrysantha (DCE). DEC was prepared by extracting with 80% ethanol. Total flavonoids and polyphenols were measured by a colorimetric assay. The free radical scavenging activity of the extract was analyzed by the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl), ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) and Griess reagent assay. An oxidative product of nitric oxide (NO), was measured in the culture medium by the Griess reaction. The level of prostaglandin $E_2$ ($PGE_2$) was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expressions of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) were measured by Western blot analysis. Total flavonoid and polyphenol contents of DCE were included $24.73{\pm}0.45$ and $178.77{\pm}2.65$, respectively. DCE significantly increased electron donating ability (DPPH), nitrite scavenging (NO) and ABTS reducing activity in dose dependant. We investigated the anti-inflammatory effects of DCE on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. DCE significantly suppressed NO and prdstaglandin $E_2$ ($PGE_2$) in dose dependant. Furthermore, the levels of iNOS and COX-2 protein expressions were markedly suppressed by the treatment with DCE in a dose dependent manner. These results suggest that DEC may has value as natural product with its high quality functional components, antioxidative and anti-inflammatory activities.

Now, smart phone markets are grows quickly. So it is needed research of CDN(Contents Delivery Network) technology for contents transmission in mobile networks. Especially the services of smart phone are focused on open platform model. So P2P(Peer to Peer) protocols will be used for mobile network because it is a distributed network architecture composed of participants that make a portion of their resources directly available to other network participants, without the need for a central server. Current research of P2P protocols for mobile network are not activated. The reason is appropriate in the mobile P2P network simulation environment, since it is not provided. So, in this paper we design a mobile P2P simulation system for CDN based on mobile P2P.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate the inhibitory effect of non-thermal dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma by air volume against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). Methods: Plasma generators (TB-300, Shinyoung Airtec, Seongnam-si, Korea) were operated in a 2A type biosafety cabinet. The plasma generator was set to a wind flow rate of 14 ($80m^3/h$), 18 ($110m^3/h$), and 22 ($150m^3/h$), and exposure times were set to 0 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours, 9 hours, and 24 hours. Results: The inhibitory effects of plasma at air volume 14 with prolonged exposure time of three hours was 20%, 64% at six hours, 82.3% at nine hours, and 100% after 24 hours exposure. With air volume of 18, the inhibitory effects upon plasma exposure were 36% for three hours, and 100% from 24 hours. Greater air volume resulted in greater inhibition of tuberculosis bacterial growth. In particular, the maximum inhibitory effect (100%) was shown in air volume of 22 ($150m^3/h$) after three hours of plasma exposure. Conclusions: The results showed the correlating inhibitory effects of plasma on the growth of MTB in combination with increasing plasma exposure time and air volume.

Background: Numerous studies have used smartphone applications to measure the range of motion in different joints. In addition, studies measuring the active range of motion (AROM) of the craniocervical joint have revealed high reliability. However, the subjects in these studies were all healthy subjects. No study has yet been conducted to measure the inter-rater reliability for the AROM of the craniocervical joint in stroke patients. Objects: The purpose of this study was to investigate the inter-rater reliability of the AROM of the craniocervical joint using a smartphone. Methods: The participants included 21 subjects who had strokes (17 males and 4 females). Two raters evaluated six types of craniocervical AROM, including flexion, extension, lateral flexion to the hemiplegic side, lateral flexion to the non-hemiplegic side, rotation to the hemiplegic side, and rotation to the non-hemiplegic side, using a goniometer and a smartphone to investigate inter-rater reliability. The inter-rater reliability was analyzed by intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC). Results: The inter-rater reliability of the smartphone was good for extension, lateral flexion to the hemiplegic side, lateral flexion to the non-hemiplegic side, and rotation to the hemiplegic side [ICC(2,k)=.86~.88] and excellent for flexion [ICC(2,k)=.95]. The inter-rater reliability for rotation to the non-hemiplegic side was moderate [ICC(2,k)=.72]. Conclusion: These results suggest that the smartphone offers high inter-rater reliability for measurements of the craniocervical AROM in patients with stroke.
