This study has three objectives. One of them is to debate on the incompatible Neo-Malthusianism and Comucopianism, which give us a comparative gauge for analysis of the population elements in Korea and Japan. The other is to investigate how a variety of population elements are related to specific regions, Korea and Japan. And the last is to compare and analyze the residential preference pattems and the degree of care for the future life for the aged over 50 ages. Various elements in population show that Japan is of type superior to Korea, and that the gap between two countries is getting narrow every year. Wiber's migration expectancy is much higher in Kwangiu-si and Chollanam-do than in Hiroshima-ken. Burial customs in funeral ceremony has been vanished in Japan, but only 30 percents in Korea is crematory. This burial customs being much stiff existent in Korea, the effect of the population decrease caused by the death is reduced. A case study through questionnaire on the residential preference patterns for the aged over 50 years old shows that Japanese than Korean are more dependent on their sons and daughters, and ‘loneliness of solitary life’is the first reason in both countries. The degree of care for the future life is also remarkably higher in Japanese than in Korean. These are related in various ways to their ages, scholarships and local areas(si or gun). A general cognition in which the shortage of labour forces comes into existence in aged society is of misconception, because it comes from taking labour forces away from the aged, not from being old society. Even a minute population change is worth notice since the inertia law is also applied to the population phenomenon. Malthusinism hold fairly good even now, and the notion is very important in which population, resources and environmental problems are no longer personal or a regional matters, but the global family's issues.

Platanthera brevicalcarata Hayata (Orchidaceae), previously known to be distributed from Taiwan to southern Japan, was found in the Jeju-do, Korea. This species is distinguished from the related taxon Platanthera chlorantha by its small plant size, white sepal with distinct one green vein, and short-cylindrical spur. The local name Young-ju-je-bi-ran is originated from the local name of Mt. Halla. The morphological characters and illustration of the species are provided with line drawing and photograph from the natural habitat.

실어증 감별진단검사법은 실어증환자들의 진단, 치료계획의 설정, 치료 효과 및 예후의 판정 등을 위하여 사용된다. 그러나 아직 우리나라에는 우리에게 알맞은 실어증 감별진단 검사법이 개발되지 않았으므로 본 연구에서는 정신문화 및 언어구조면에서 우리나라와 유사성이 가장 높다고 생각되는 일본에서 널리 사용되고 있는 실어증 감별진단검사법(노인총합 연구소판)을 우리나라의 정신문화 및 언어상의 특성을 고려하여 번역 보완환 다음 한국어판 실어증 감별진단검사법을 시안(I)을 실어증 환자군과 정상 대조군에 적용하여 그 가치를 평가하고자 하였다. The clustering analysis and comparison of male genitalia of Silpha perforata complex were carried out to decide the taxonomic status of the population from Jejudo Is., Korea. One hundred and five individuals from Korea, Japan, and China were examined for the present study. Based on the result, the population of Jejudo Is. was treated as intraspecies of Silpha perforata with a morphological variation.

고병원성조류인플루엔자는 2003년 12월 10일 충북 음성군에서 최초 발생한 이후 2004년 3월 20일 경기 양주시를 마지막으로 총 19건이 발생되었으며, 지난 5월 29일 경남 양산지역을 마지막으로 이동제한이 전국적으로 해제되었다. 정부에서는 2004년 9월 21일부로 국제수역사무국(OIE)에 국내종식상황을 통보하였고 이에 일본에서는 국내산 가금육의 수입중단조치를 10월 13일에 해제하기에 이르렀다. 그러나 6월 16일 인도네시아를 기점으로 베트남(6.29), 태국(7.6), 중국(7.6) 등 총 15개에서 재발$\cdot$확산되고 있으며, 태국에서는 이종간의 전파로 호랑이가 30여마리가 조류인플루엔자로 폐사하고 유사증상을 보이는 호랑이 30마리를 살처분하기(10월 21일)에 이르렀다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze of Information-related subjects on industry department of college scholastic ability test in Korea and Japan. These were compared with information-related foundation and data-technology foundation, programming on industry department test of vocational education area in college scholastic ability test in Korea and Japan and suggest implications of items development of college scholastic ability test in Korea. Based on the results of study, the following recommendations were made for new direction of items development of college scholastic ability test in Korea. First, Information-related foundation on industry department of National Center for University Entrance Examinations in Japan consisted of basic informations of agricultural, industry, commercial department etc. of vocational education area. Similarly it is necessary to introduce 'computer-related foundation' consist of common contents of several departments of college scholastic ability test in Korea. Second, it is necessary to diverse sub-item situations different from main item situations and introduce diverse situations of set type items of college scholastic ability test in Korea. Third, test for National Center for University Entrance Examinations in Japan consisted of several types items like this selecting answers on multi-answer group. it is necessary to introduce short answer type, completion type and supply type of college scholastic ability test in Korea.
