  • This paper is written for the purpose of obtaining the information about the weather easily by the development of weather forecast system sensing temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure as key information. For this, data is obtained from the Weather Bureau, and analyzed in order to set a standard of weather forecast from the collected data. The pressure sensor and temperature-humidity sensor are fabricated using the piezoresistive effect of semiconductor, which are used to collect data. The weather forecast system is made using microprocessor.

  • 본 연구에서는 적설 추정 알고리즘과 추계 일기 생성 모형을 활용하여 관측 적설의 특성을 재현하는 연속 적설심 자료 모의 방법을 소개한다. 적설 추정 알고리즘은 강수 유형 판단, Snow Ratio 추정, 그리고 적설 깊이 감소량 추정까지 총 3단계로 구성된다. 먼저 강수 발생시 지상기온과 상대습도를 지표로 활용하여 강수 유형을 판단하고, 강수가 적설로 판별되었을 때 강수량을 신적설심으로 환산하는 Snow Ratio를 추정한다. Snow Ratio는 지상 기온과의 sigmoid 함수 회귀분석을 통해 추정하였으며, precipitation rate 조건(5 mm/3hr 미만 및 이상)에 따라 두 가지 함수를 적용하였다. 마지막으로 적설 깊이 감소량은 온도 지표 snowmelt 식을 이용하여 추정하였으며, 매개변수는 적설 깊이 및 온도 관측 자료를 활용하여 보정하였다. 속초 관측소 자료를 활용하여 매개변수를 보정 및 검증하여 높은 NSE(보정기간 : 0.8671, 검증기간 : 0.7432)를 달성하였으며, 이 알고리즘을 추계 일기 생성 모형으로 모의한 합성 기상 자료(강수량, 지상기온, 습도)에 적용하여 합성 적설심 시계열을 모의하였다. 모의 자료는 관측 자료의 통계 및 극한값을 매우 정확하게 재현하였으며, 현행 건축구조기준과도 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 모형을 통하여 적설 위험 분석 분야뿐 아니라 기후 전망 자료와의 결합, 미계측 지역에 대한 자료 모의 등에도 광범위하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Analysis on Changes of Daily Temperature and Daily Precipitation in Climate Indices over Republic of Korea (기후지수를 이용한 우리나라 일기온 및 일강수의 변화 분석)

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라 6개 지점(강릉, 서울, 인천, 대구, 부산, 목포)에서 관측한 약 100년간(1912-2009년, 단 1950-1953년 제외)의 일최고/최저기온 및 일강수 자료를 이용하여 각 지점별로 다양한 기후지수를 산출하고 이들의 변화를 살펴보았다. 기온 관련 기후지수로는 여름일수, 영하일수, 결빙일수, 서리일수, 열대야일수, 냉방도일, 난방도일, 일교차, 식물성장일수, 일최고/최저기온의 월최고값 및 월최저값 등을 분석하였으며, 강수 관련 기후지수로 강수량, 강수일수, 강수강도, 호우일수, 미우일수, 최고 일강수 및 5일 연속 최고 강수량, 연속건조일수 및 연속습윤일수, 극한 강수일의 강수량 등을 계산하였다. 다음은 6개 지점의 기후지수를 평균한 결과이다. 6개 지점 모두에서 최저기온의 상승률이 최고기온의 상승률보다 크게 나타남에 따라 분석기간 동안 일교차는 점차 줄어드는 경향($-0.12^{\circ}C$/10년)을 보였고, 최저기온에 근거한 기후지수인 서리일수 (최저기온이 $-5^{\circ}C$ 미만, -2.6일/10년), 영하일수(최고기온이 $0^{\circ}C$ 미만, -1.0일/10년) 등의 감소와 평균기온의 상승에 따른 성장계절길이(growing season length)의 증가(+3.53일/10년)가 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 일강수와 관련된 주요변화로 미우일수(일강수량이 1 $mmday^{-1}$ 이하)는 감소(-0.75일/10년)했지만, 10 $mmday^{-1}$ (+0.32일/10년), 20 $mmday^{-1}$ (+0.27일/10년), 30 $mmday^{-1}$ (+0.25일/10년), 50 $mmday^{-1}$ (+0.17일/10년), 80 $mmday^{-1}$(+0.09일/10년) 이상 내린 강수일수는 증가하였다. 강수강도(강수량이 1 $mmday^{-1}$ 이상일 때의 강수량과 강수일수 기준)는 0.23 $mmday^{-1}$/10년로 증가했다.

A Critical Review of the Geographical Location of Anpyeon-do(Baleum-do) Written in the Nanjung Diary by Admiral Yi (난중일기에 기록된 안편도(발음도)의 지리적 위치에 관한 실증 연구)

  • Most of the current administrative names and locations for the names of places in the Nanjung diary have since been confirmed. However, a disagreement ensued among translators or researchers over Anpyeon-do (Baleum-do) islet recorded in Admiral Yi Sun-Shin's diary. Anpyeon-do was first recorded in the diary on October 11, 1597. It is credited to be the location where Yi Sun-shin and Chosun Naval Fleet stayed when sailing along the Southwestern coast of the Korean Peninsula after the battle of Myeongnyang. However, Anpyeon-do's exact geographical location has never been accurately confirmed. To accurately locate the islet, this study compared the direction and position of geographical locations observed in the Anpeon-do site match to actual geographical positions and directions. In addition, the direction and position of the geographical locations observed in the newly explored islands and mountains were evaluated with regard to how they correspond to the actual Anpeon-do. As a result, we concluded that the real location of Anpyeon-do recorded in the Nanjung diary is the Maebong mountain in Anjwa-do.

  • 일기예보나 기상예측 등을 위해서 필요한 대기압, 온도, 습도와 같은 기상정보 중에서 대기압의 변화를 측정하기위한 고층기상관측기를 설계, 구현하였다. 이를 위해 현재 구현되어 있는 고층기상관측기의 구조와 특징을 파악, 분석 후 대기압 상용센서를 하여 기존의 고층기상관측기와 비교해 구조적으로 간단하고 저가에 구현할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • 상변환시 수반되는 경계면에서의 잠열의 방출(또는 흡수)의 정확한 해석은 용접, 주조, 결정 생성, 일기 예보 등의 응용에 필수적인 것이다. 특히 주조의 경우 캐스팅 온도와 고체 용적분율의 관계를 앎으로서 잠열 방출의 해석이 가능하다. 본 연구는 상변환시 수반되는 잠열의 방출 형태를 4개의 다른 모델을 사용하여 비정상 온도분포, 용융형태, 자연대류가 미치는 영향을 수치적으로 구하였다. 2개의 서로 다른 물성치를 가진 합금을 선택하였는데 하나는 넓은 mushy 영역을 가진 알루미늄 합금이고 다른 하나는 좁은 mushy 영역을 가진 철금속계 합금이다. 알루미늄 합금의 경우 온도 분포와 시간에 따른 온도의 변화가 모델에 따라 상당한 차이가 있는 반면 철금속계 합금의 경우 상이한 모델일지라도 거의 차이가 없음을 알 수 있었다. 결론으로 용융시 정확한 온도 분포와 상변화 형태를 예측하기 위해서는, 알루미늄 합금(넓은 mushy 영역)의 경우 적절한 잠열 방출 모델의 채택이 필요 불가급한 것으로 사료된다.

A Study on the Fog Occurrence in Suyoung Bay (수영만의 안개 발생에 관한 연구)

  • Using the meteorological data, surface weather map, and oceanographic data for 5 years(1984-1988). I investigated the characteristics of the fog occurrence and the role of the inshore in Pusan about the fog occurrence. And the meteorological data and sea surface temperature(SST), which were observed in July, 1989 in Suyoung Bay, were compared with those in Pusan. The fogs in Pusan concentrate in May, June and July. And at fog occurrence time the principal wind directions are Southwest(SW) winds, which easily supply with water vapor, and a series of Northeast(NE) wind. At the fog days pressure patterns are pattern 7 in spring time (March, April, and May) and pattern 10 and pattern 13 in summer time (June, July, and August). Also the advection fog(sea fog) is closely related with the relationship between warm and cold advection in 850~700mb and cold and warm SST rather than the increase of the instability of atmosphere in 850~500mb. The fogs in Taegu, which is the inland region, mainly occur at dawn in fall time due to the strong night radiation fog. On the other hand in Pusan the coastal region, the fogs occur from late spring time to summer time (May, June, and July). Because there is the abundant supply of the water vapor from the ocean owing to a series of South(S) wind at this time. Then the atmosphere, which has high relative humidity, reaches easily the supersaturation by the radiation cooling. In Suyoung Bay and Pusan the meteorological observation data, SST and fog days are almost similar. And I think that the mechanism of the fog occurrence nearly accords with both regions.

Data collection strategy for building rainfall-runoff LSTM model predicting daily runoff (강수-일유출량 추정 LSTM 모형의 구축을 위한 자료 수집 방안)

  • In this study, after developing an LSTM-based deep learning model for estimating daily runoff in the Soyang River Dam basin, the accuracy of the model for various combinations of model structure and input data was investigated. A model was built based on the database consisting of average daily precipitation, average daily temperature, average daily wind speed (input up to here), and daily average flow rate (output) during the first 12 years (1997.1.1-2008.12.31). The Nash-Sutcliffe Model Efficiency Coefficient (NSE) and RMSE were examined for validation using the flow discharge data of the later 12 years (2009.1.1-2020.12.31). The combination that showed the highest accuracy was the case in which all possible input data (12 years of daily precipitation, weather temperature, wind speed) were used on the LSTM model structure with 64 hidden units. The NSE and RMSE of the verification period were 0.862 and 76.8 m3/s, respectively. When the number of hidden units of LSTM exceeds 500, the performance degradation of the model due to overfitting begins to appear, and when the number of hidden units exceeds 1000, the overfitting problem becomes prominent. A model with very high performance (NSE=0.8~0.84) could be obtained when only 12 years of daily precipitation was used for model training. A model with reasonably high performance (NSE=0.63-0.85) when only one year of input data was used for model training. In particular, an accurate model (NSE=0.85) could be obtained if the one year of training data contains a wide magnitude of flow events such as extreme flow and droughts as well as normal events. If the training data includes both the normal and extreme flow rates, input data that is longer than 5 years did not significantly improve the model performance.

A Study on Personal Everyday Records in On Kawara's Works (온 카와라(On Kawara) 작품에 나타난 개인의 일상기록 연구)

  • On Kawara's works are not only artworks but are also his personal daily records. He produced many artworks whose theme centered on his everyday life, a plan that he had precisely made. He selected several specific themes from his daily life: when and where he met someone, what he read, and where he traveled. Kawara constantly recorded his daily life using various types of unconventional medium: maps, postcards, and telegrams. Although he was occupied with recording his everyday life, he was also active in forming public opinions on various issues through social media. Kawara's works, which exhibit a distinctive characteristic of himself, could be classified as individual records because it includes an individual's daily life and selected issues. His artworks express concern for or expose the irrationality of his society, which encourages ordinary people to let their voices be heard and take part in public affairs. Thus, his works function not just as art but also as precious historical records.

The Discrepancy of Work Time according to the Measures: Self-reported Questions vs. Time-diary Method (측정방법에 따른 노동시간의 차이: 자기기입식 질문법과 시간일지법을 중심으로)

  • This article aimed to clear that the systematic bias according to the length of work time exists between estimated work time by self-reported questions used mainly in measuring and calculating the length of work time because of strong points of easy in measuring and so on and diary work time by time-diary method used because of the strong point that can measure more accurate lifetime by recording various activities of respondents during 24 hours in the stream. As the result that analyze the data from Lifetime Use Survey in 2004, the result like the contradiction came that the tendency of overstating work time is rising according as estimated work time increases via estimated work time, whereas the tendency of understating work time is rising according as diary work time increases via diary work time. The reason that the opposite results come despite the data from the same survey is that random errors act in the opposite directions by regression to the mean. Therefore, we cannot emphasize that a man working long hours tends to exaggerate his work hours by the result via estimated work time. That is, the fact that the systematic bias by the increase of work time does not exist is confirmed, and therefore, it is also impossible to raise questions about the accuracy of the data through estimated work time by self-reported questions from the evidence of the existence of that bias.
