  • Intelligence Home and Home Automation, which attracted attention before Smart Home, caused inconvenience to users by focusing on applying cutting-edge technologies to homes, and failed to popularize them due to lack of unemployment efficiency. However, with the 4th Industrial Revolution, various services using technologies related to big data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things are increasing, and the rate of smart home services that operate, manage, and automate products at home is gradually increasing. In line with this trend, this paper implements a program app that can connect, manipulate, and manage products using MQTT server, Django web framework, and WIFI communication module.

  • Cyber Attack and Cyber Threat are getting confused and evolved. Therefore, using AI(Artificial Intelligence), which is the most important technology in Fourth Industry Revolution, to build a Cyber Threat Detection System is getting important. Especially, Government's SOC(Security Operation Center) is highly interested in using AI to build SOAR(Security Orchestration, Automation and Response) Solution to predict and build CTI(Cyber Threat Intelligence). In this thesis, We introduce the Cyber Threat Detection System by analyzing Network Traffic and Web Application Firewall(WAF) Log data. Additionally, we apply the well-known TF-IDF(Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency) method and AutoML technology to classify Web traffic attack type.

  • In the past, executive managers made a decision based on personal experience and knowledge due to lack of the appropriate and timely information. With the development of information systems and technologies, efficiency and productivity of business operation has been enhanced. In this study, we propose a system design and architecture blue-print related to strategic decision making support system. The proposed system consists of 3 key parts; individual business feasibility test, business portfolio feasibility test, business portfolio management. The three key parts are comprised of 11 components to generate information and knowledge based on various data input from inside and outside of firm. This system is expected to provide objective and reliable output to users. In addition, the proposed strategic decision support system would help respond to a rapidly changing business environment.

  • The QoS(Quality of Service) of VoD(Video on Demand) systems can be improved by reducing the faults that the stream service request from clients is rejected by the VoD server or lost during the service. This paper proposes a model of Dynamic Workload Balancer that can adjust the workload dynamically through the periodical monitoring of the VoD system, and so increase the throughput. The proposed model runs independently from the VoD system by adopting the agent concept. The model comprises the agency part interfacing the VoD system and the intelligence part reasoning or teaming the facts required for the adjustment of workload. An experiment of implementing a simulator was conducted to see whether or not application of the proposed model to VoD system is effective. As a result of the experiment, it was found that the throughput was relatively increased when the proposed model was applied compared to existing means.

  • Expressway is the main link in promoting the national economic development, which plays a vital part in improving the regional economy and people's living standards, therefore, it is of great significance to accelerate the construction of expressways. However, because it is difficult for the existing system to identify the information of special vehicles quickly, leading to the cumbersome flow of special vehicles passing through the toll station of expressways [1], which brings a certain burden to the work of expressway administrators. The surge in the number of private cars also increased the traffic pressure of toll stations, especially the free expressways traffic policy implemented by the State during holidays, resulting in more frequent traffic jams at high-speed intersections. According to this situation, a intelligent system was created to ameliorate the difficult situation of special vehicle identification on expressways, reduce the congestion at high-speed intersections, and improve the efficiency of staff by data-based means.

  • The best business strategy leading to innovation and productivity can be achieved by carefully analyzing internal and external environments of a company. Many companies often require, but difficult to find a tool to determine their own internal/external environmental factors including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats(SWOT). SWOT is one analytical base model that is utilized in this research to design semi-automated environmental analysis process. This study investigates on SWOT generation system that is built on existing analysis database created by experts in each field. Companies can search and choose their best expressing environmental elements that are stored in the database. This semi-automated SWOT tool is expected to contribute that companies can recognize their internal capabilities more accurately, and help consider external environment changes around them.

  • Recently, a variety of organizations including enterprises tend to try to use reporting tools as a data analysis tool for decision making support because reporting tools are capable of formatting data flexibly. Traditional reporting tools have thin-client structure in which all of dynamic documents are generated in the server side. This structure enables reporting tools to avoid repetitive process to generate dynamic documents, when many clients intend to access the same dynamic document. However, generating dynamic documents for data analysis doesn't consider a number of potential readers and increases requests to the server by making clients input various parameters at short intervals. In the structure of the traditional reporting tools, the increase of these requests leads to the increase of processing load in the server side. Thus, we present the reporting tool that can generate dynamic documents at the client side. This reporting tool has a processing mechanism to deal with a number of data despite the limited memory capacity of the client side.

R&D Strategic Planning Support Service Focused on the Relationships Between Technology and Actor (기술과 주체 간 상호 관계 중심적 R&D 전략 수립 지원 서비스)

  • R&D Strategic Planning plays a crucial role in determining success or failure of R&D. However, current automatic services for supporting the purpose merely provide fragmentary quantitative/qualitative analytics, and force domain experts to carry out further manual analysis by themselves. Thus, this study aims at automatically supporting R&D strategic planning with efficiency and effectiveness. To achieve the goal, we design major services in the viewpoint of the relationship between technology and R&D actor, which are essential elements in R&D. 'Trends and Predictions', 'Technology Levels', 'Relationship Paths', 'Roadmaps', and 'Competitors and Collaborators' services were designed and implemented on about 15 millions papers and patents. Future works will include the support of higher level in the hierarchy of strategic intelligence.

융합시대의 IT R&D 방향

  • 사회변혁 과정에서 경쟁우위 확보는 그 시대를 대표하는 기술의 습득과 활용의 정도에 따라 좌우된다. 우리나라의 경우 정보혁명 과정에서 IT기술의 습득과 활용을 위하여 적극적인 노력을 기울인 결과 IT강국이라는 현재의 위치를 확보할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나, 최근들어 IT산업이 국가의 경제발전을 지속적으로 선도하여 나가기 위해서는 IT 산업내의 구조적 취약점을 해결해야 한다는 지적과 함께 참여정부에서 시작된 IT39 중심의 산업정책에 대한 비판도 제기되고 있다. 이에 따라 사회변화의 방향을 가늠해 보고 우리 IT산업이 직면한 문제 분석과 이를 토대로 한 새로운 IT R&D 방향을 모색할 필요가 있다. 미래사회 변화의 큰 특징은 융합으로 대변된다. 정보처리 기술과 통신기술의 융합으로 시작된 이 흐름은 최근 통방융합이라는 차원을 넘어 이종기술간 및 이종산업간 융합이라는 개념으로 확장 진화되고 있다. 또한, 사회변혁의 패러다임도 지식기반사회에서 융합시대로 급격히 전환되고 있다. 융합이라는 패러다임 변혁의 물결에 편승하기 위해서는 IT기술이 융합시대에서 어떠한 역할을 하고, 어떻게 진화해 갈 것인지를 규명하는 작업이 필요하다. IT기술은 그동안의 혁신적 발전을 기반으로 여타 기술 및 산업 발전을 견인하는 원천기술로 작용할 것이 확실시 된다. 따라서, 융합시대에서 IT기술은 기존의 독자적 산업영역에 국한되지 않고 새로운 기술과 산업으로 그 응용범위가 대폭 확장됨으로써 기존에 IT가 지녔던 기술적, 산업적 중요 성과는 비교할 수 없을 정도의 의미를 지니게 될 것이다. 융합시대에 대응하여 IT R&D 방향을 검토하는 전략적 의미도 여기에서 찾을 수 있게 된다. 융합시대에서 IT R&D는 IT가 여타 기술 및 산업발전을 위한 원천기술화를 비롯하여 (1) 유비쿼터스 인프라, (2) 디지털 인텔리전스, (3) 융합부품, (4) 메가 컨버전스 등과 같은 4대 동력에 집중할 필요가 있다. IT의 원천기술화 및 4대 동력에의 집중이야말로 융합시대를 슬기롭게 열어가는 '전략적 창(strategic window)‘이 될 것이다.

The Efficiency Analysis of Firms Having Established a Business Intelligence System Using DEA/Time-Window Analysis (DEA를 이용한 기업의 Business Intelligence 시스템 도입 효율성에 대한 비교 평가 연구)

  • In this paper, DEA analysis is employed to compare and evaluate the relative efficiency of a business intelligence (BI) system among five industrial groups such as IT and financial services, electricity and electronics, energy and chemistry, automotive and heavy machinery, and food and apparel. Especially, this study has analyzed the improving tendency of relative efficiency of the industrial groups since they adopted the BI System using Time-Window Analysis. The research findings show that the energy and chemical industry group tends to be remarkably more efficient than the other groups and the electrical and electronic industry turns out to gradually improve their efficiency since the adoption of the BI system.
