Proposal for the use of interactive multimedia art for rehabilitation exercise in early dementia patients : focusing on the program Isadora® (초기 치매 환자의 재활 운동을 위한 인터랙티브 멀티미디어 아트의 활용 제안 : 프로그램 Isadora®를 중심으로)

  • The study intends to use interactive multimedia art performances for rehabilitation exercises for patients with early dementia. The interactive performance is completed by communication and participation of the performer on the stage and the dementia patient, who is the audience, and through this process, the dementia patient performs efficient rehabilitation exercises with interest and immersion. For the study, the characteristics of early dementia patients and effective exercise methods are examined, and a program map is constructed so that the patient's performance viewing leads to participation and leads to rehabilitation exercises. Movements and sounds generated by the audience's participation are converted into MIDI signals of Sound Level, Pitch, and Velocity to become a performance that controls music and video in real time. Through this, the patient will be immersed in the rehabilitation exercise with interest and will be able to have a sense of accomplishment as a participant in the performance. In addition, this study has the significance of expanding the area through various uses and applications of interactive multimedia art.

The Interactive Learning Experience by Integrating Educational Robots into the Augmented Reality (교육용 로봇과 증강 현실 결합을 통한 인터랙티브 학습 경험)

  • This paper presents the effect of a interactive learning experience and student's response to technological components We develop the interactive learning environment and learning model in lessons relying on educational robots and augmented reality in the school classroom. The developed learning model is based on the problem-based learning model. The experiments of the study conduct with 18 students, the $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ graders of an elementary school for 8 weeks using developed system. We find out the interactive learning experiences have an influence on the creative ability of children. We know that students who scored lower on the school exam scored higher on the score of creativity compared to top students through educational robots and augmented reality.

  • 인터랙티브 TV 시장이 활성화됨에 따라 DCATV와 IPTV의 경쟁이 본격화되면서 사용성에 직접적인 영향을 주는 인터페이스에 대한 관심도 증대되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 인터랙티브 TV의 서비스 및 인터페이스에 대한 사용자의 멘탈모델을 이해하는 것을 목적으로 진행하였다. 연구 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문헌 조사를 통해 인터랙티브 TV의 2가지 유형인 DCATV와 IPTV의 기술적 차이점과 서비스 동향을 파악하였다. 둘째, 헬로우TV, C&M, 브로드앤TV, 쿡TV, 마이 엘지TV 등 인터랙티브 TV의 사례들을 비교분석 하였다. 셋째, 헬로우TV를 중심으로 사용성 평가를 실시하고 그 결과를 종합 분석하였다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서는 DCATV와 IPTV의 서비스 및 인터페이스에 대한 사용자 멘탈모델이 다르다는 것을 파악할 수 있었다. 특히 실시간으로 방송되는 '케이블TV채널'과 요청에 따라 다운로드 되는 'VOD'라는 두 가지 서비스는 인터랙션 방식과 제공 단위에 있어서 상이하며, 따라서 개념적 혼란을 야기할 수 있다. IPTV와 달리 두 가지 서비스를 함께 제공하는 DCATV에서는 대부분의 사용자들은 2가지의 멘탈모델을 병립시키지 못해 인지적 혼란을 느꼈고 VOD서비스에 대해서도 정확히 이해하지 못했다. 이는 VOD 명칭에 대해 어려움을 느끼는 것으로 생각되며 VOD명칭에 대한 개선이 필요했다. 이에 새롭게 변화된 쿡TV에서는 VOD란 명칭을 TV다시보기로 개선함으로써 명칭 개선이 필요함을 증명했다. 이러한 발견 점은 차후 인터랙티브 TV의 인터페이스 개발시 컨셉 개발을 위한 기초 자료로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

A study on the direction of the interaction of furniture (인터랙티브 가구의 방향에 관한 연구)

  • With the recent development of ICT, diverse ICT-related fields are being developed and undergoing changes. Numerous researches are being actively conducted on the interactions between users, devices, and computers. Such interaction is now being applied to furniture; interactive furniture are on the rise with which humans can interact with their furniture. This study focused on such interactive furniture and purported to give some pointers to future research on the interaction between users and furniture. This study implemented a user diary on furniture use to analyze user tasks. By using affinity diagram analysis ideation workshop, user tasks were identified and analyzed. The analysis revealed that the future direction for interactive furniture should be automation an complexation. This study is significant in the following two aspects: 1) having suggested future directions for interactive furniture, and 2) serving as foundational data for future research on interactive furniture.

  • The interactive cinema is based on the interactivity between the cinema and the audience. The discussion of interactive cinema can be divided into two poles. One is to positively look at the possibilities of interactive cinema as a new format and to test with them in various ways. The other is the perspective of a critical warning that the interactivity of interactive cinema risks reinforcing biases while instilling the illusion of freedom and activity in the audience. Considering both of these perspectives, we try to find a way to realize the political and aesthetic possibilities of interactive cinema through characteristic analysis. To this end, we analyzed the interactive film , which has received public and critical attention, based on Brecht's epic theater as a theoretical and practical reference. We analyzed the text/contextual characteristics of this work in three dimensions - an interactive multi-branching structure, a self-reflecting Mise en abyme structure, and an active enjoyment of the audience - and compared them with the epic theater theory. Through this, we examined the conditions and possibilities of interactive cinema as a new epic theater in the new technological/media environment of the 21st century.

  • 최근 산업 전반에 걸쳐 가상세계와 현실세계, 방송과 통신, IT 기술과 전통산업 등 다양한 분야에서 융합연구가 진행되고 있다. 그리고 교육분야에서는 주입식 교육을 탈피하는 창의력 중심으로의 교육 패러다임의 변화를 고려하고, 교육격차 해소와 교육복지 실현을 위한 새로운 교육서비스 제공이 요구되고 있으며, 결과적으로 자기주도형 미래 인재를 육성하기 위한 고품질의 인터랙티브 교육콘텐츠 기술이 시급히 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 최근에는 ICT(Information & Communication Technology) 기술을 교육과 융합하여 학습자에게 실재감과 몰입감을 제공하고 학습자의 체험 기반 학습을 지향하는 이러닝 콘텐츠 기술이 개발되고 있다. 본고에서는 증강현실 기반 실감형 학습기술, 가상현실 기반 체험형 학습기술, 인터랙티브 e-book 기술 관련 신기술 개발동향에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

  • The past interactive art was only attempted through interdisciplinary study of art and science. As it goes to the digital age, however, the artistic methods based on digital technology have been gradually increasing in combination with other media in various ways. This paper analyzes how spectators' individual selection of viewing-route increases the interaction between spectators and interactive art work by focusing on $\ulcorner$Meta 4Saisons$\lrcorner$. In the process of route selection, each spectator selects his/her own viewing-route almost different from the others', respectively. This individual viewing-route makes each spectator placed in a position of individual interaction, thus leading him/her to the experience of various feelings through the act of immersing in the interactive art interface.

  • In this paper, we developed digital TV interactive game using mobile device. This enables a TV viewer to participate in the game using mobile devices. Recently, advanced interface is adopted in the mobile devices, especially touchpad type interface is favorable. Such type interface has the advantage of more familiar interface for users, and the user can input various type of action. Using a mobile phone enables many users can participate in the TV game, and provides a private screen. In this paper, we describe contributions of the program in detail, and we present the architecture and a demonstration of the proposed program in a similar broadcasting environment.

Compare that a complicated equipment which makes them spend much expense and time was only used in the big size of concert hall in early days, a small and simple one now helps you easily apply your idea to Visual art in Pop music performance even in the small club.   • 최근에 딥러닝 기술인 GAN (Generative Adversarial Networks) 연구는 Image-to-Image translation 분야에서 활발하게 이뤄지고 있다. 이러한 기술을 바탕으로 사용자에게 편의와 재미를 제공하는 서비스가 애플리케이션 및 웹사이트의 형태로 개발되고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 CycleGAN 모델을 사용하여 이미지를 변환하고, 이를 인터랙티브 웹페이지를 통해 사용자와 실시간으로 상호작용하며 결과 이미지를 제공할 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 모델을 구현하기 위해 Tensorflow 및 Keras를 사용하였고, Django와 HTML5, CSS, JavaScript를 사용하여 웹사이트를 제작하였다.
