Home Security System Based on IoT (IoT 기반 홈 보안 시스템)

  • This paper aims to build a home security system based on IoT to monitor a home on a mobile phone. The system consists of data gathering sensors, camera, gateway and Xively platform. The Raspberry Pi collects data from the three sensors and sends the data to Xively, and sends the video stream of home to a client in a smart phone through a internet. The servers are composed of Xively, socket server in Raspberry Pi and E-mail server in Google. The proposed system transmits e-mail, text message, and video stream when there are motion, fire, and gas leakage, and can control the gas valve through Raspberry Pi. The experimental results show that a user gets 'emergency E-mail' and text message and watches the video stream of the home through WIFI or LTE on a smart phone.

Study for Tracing Zombie PCS and Botnet Using an Email Spam Trap (이메일 스팸트랩을 이용한 좀비 PC 및 봇넷 추적 방안연구)

  • A botnet is a huge network of hacked zombie PCs. Recognizing the fact that the majority of email spam is sent out by botnets, a system that is capable of detecting botnets and zombie PCS will be designed in this study by analyzing email spam. In this study, spam data collected in "an email spam trail system", Korea's national spam collection system, were used for analysis. In this study, we classified the spam groups by the URLs or attached files, and we measured how much the group has the characteristics of botnet and how much the IPs have the characteristics of zombie PC. Through the simulation result in this study, we could extract 16,030 zombie suspected PCs for one hours and it was verified that email spam can provide considerably useful information in tracing zombie PCs.

  • E-mail marketing is the cheapest channel in target marketing. The channel works amazingly well for marketers who know how to use it. The e-mail marketers are able to integrate transactional and behavioral data to improve the targeting content of e-mail marketing campaigns. The cost in e-mail marketing is low and e-mail marketing makes no pollution. But, the e-mail response rate is lower than all the other channels. So, it is very hard for companies to increase their sales volumes, though the companies are ready to execute e-mail marketing campaigns on the side of computer systems. Marketers can send messages easily to target customers compared to other channels. But, the possibility to be read by the customers is low. Normal e-mails are continually devalued by spam mails. This study shows the influence of e-mail marketing to increase sales used by credit cards, on the basis of the real data promoted by A bank, in the Republic of Korea. The analysis on the traits of the respondent can help marketers to target customers. If additional studies on the response prediction model on the basis of traits of potential respondents are done, the targeting method to increase the effectiveness of e-mail marketing will be better structured and organized.

  • E-mail has indeed developed from 'a means of instant communication' to an indispensable part of online marketing. Therefore, companies need to implement consistent customer management. Communication with customers and marketing through e-mail is a powerful way of communication and adapting one-to-one marketing strategies to customer trends, habits and taste preferences. Since setting accurate targets is especially important in the fashion industry, e-mail marketing is the most effective way to communicate with customers and one-to-one marketing constitutes a very important strategy. In this study, I will analyze this powerful one-on-one marketing tool, particularly actual e-mail messages sent by an Internet Shopping Mall from June 12 to July 30, 2005, examine the effect of these messages on sales growth and analyze actual feedback received. Regarding e-mail read rates broken down by age and gender, 1 found that females in their late twenties recorded the highest rate at 21.66% and their contribution to sales growth was recorded at 3.5% From actual sales records, found that 28.10% of total sales were attributable to people in their late twenties, showing that the age group that reads e-mails the most also buys the most. Regarding feedback by e-mail title, e-mails from the 'Casual' category seemed to be the most effective, in that most of these e-mails were read. Also, messages sent on Tuesdays were read the most, according to the feedback analysis by weekday. Section e-mails were read more often than regular e-mails. Regarding the view rate according to the time e-mails were sent, messages sent to females in their late twenties at two o'clock in the afternoon were read by 20.93% of recipients, recording the highest read rate. By offering informative content and practical tips, visitors will be attracted to the site and generate site traffic. Therefore, we can conclude that sending e-mail messages can greatly contribute to sales growth and e-mail marketing is very effective. Also, in order to make e-mail campaigns more effective and improve marketing results, we need to analyze actual results and apply our findings in future e-mail campaigns. With this, we get successful marketing results.

  • 인터넷의 급속한 발전으로 매우 많은 정보와 다양한 컨텐츠가 개인 사용자들에게 제공되고 있다. 또한, 개인을 고객으로 하는 각종 포탈 사이트들이 많이 생성됨에 따라 고객 개인을 위한 고객화된 정보가 매우 중요한 하나의 컨텐츠로 작용하고 있다. 하지만, 현재 국내외 전자상거래를 주목적으로 하는 포탈 사이트의 시스템들은 고객에 관한 정보를 단순한 개인 프로파일로 활용하고 있을 뿐 고객 정보를 이용하여 더 많은 개인화된 새로운 정보를 창출하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 고객에 대한 정보를 세분화하고 분석하여 제3의 개인화 정보를 생성하여 자동으로 각 개별 고객에게 개인화된 정보를 제공해 줄 수 있는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하고자 한다. 고객의 이메일 오픈율과 마우스 이벤트 정보를 분석 및 계산하여 개별 고객에게 고객의 관심정보 및 관심 컴포넌트를 생성한 후 관심정보와 관심 컴포넌트를 이용하여 개별 고객의 관심 정보를 고객이 선호하는 이메일 규격 및 양식에 맞게 에이전트를 통해 자동으로 재구성하여 푸쉬해 주는 개인화 메일 자동 생성에이전트 시스템을 개발하고자 함이 본 논문의 목적이다.

Automatic e-mail Hierarchy Classification using Dynamic Category Hierarchy and Principal Component Analysis (PCA와 동적 분류체계를 사용한 자동 이메일 계층 분류)

  • The amount of incoming e-mails is increasing rapidly due to the wide usage of Internet. Therefore, it is more required to classify incoming e-mails efficiently and accurately. Currently, the e-mail classification techniques are focused on two way classification to filter spam mails from normal ones based mainly on Bayesian and Rule. The clustering method has been used for the multi-way classification of e-mails. But it has a disadvantage of low accuracy of classification and no category labels. The classification methods have a disadvantage of training and setting of category labels by user. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-way e-mail hierarchy classification method that uses PCA for automatic category generation and dynamic category hierarchy for high accuracy of classification. It classifies a huge amount of incoming e-mails automatically, efficiently, and accurately.

  • With the introduction of internet applications to the hotel industry hotel customers are very willing to use the electronic communication tools in their both searching information and purchasing behaviors. It is generally agreed that the internet communication tools can be a strategic one for less competitive hotels in the traditional marketing environment. This study found that there are significant differences among several classifications of hotels in the use of internet communications as a marketing tool. The study also found that there are some possibilities for local hotels to overcome the current marketing handicaps with internet communications.

  • Spam Message has been Causing widespread damages on the Internet. One source of the problems is rooted from an anonymously posted message in the bulletin board in Internet communities. This type of the Spam messages tries to advertise products, to harm other's reputation, to deliver religious messages and so on. In this paper we present the Spam message filtering using the Bayesian approach. In order to increase usefulness of the Spam filter in the bulletin board in Internet communities, we made the Spam filter which can divide the Spam message into six categories such as advertisement, pornography, abuse, religion and other. The test conducted against messages posted on the popular web sites.

  • With internet development, many peoples use their email to exchange documents, register for web services, and much more. Some individuals/organizations (including educational institutions) use their own domain name for email instead of a domain provided by commercial email services. However, suppose the domain used for custom email expires. In that case, other individuals/organizations can reuse the domain, and the new domain owner can send and receive all emails incoming to the domain. It makes us concerned about Privacy violations. Email that new domain owners can look into also contains sensitive emails like password reset notifications, credit card statements, order history, and more. In this research, we would like to describe the privacy violations caused by the expired domain used for email that did not remove all dependencies of email users and propose a solution.
