A Study on the Implementation of Learning community of Chinese International Students Using Design-Based Convergence Exploration (디자인 기반 융합탐구를 활용한 중국 유학생들의 학습공동체 실행연구)

  • In the IOT social environment, which emphasizes the convergence of science and technology and emotion, this study aims to explore the experience and meaning of the experience while participating in the design convergence class based on the operation of the Learning community of Chinese graduate students majoring in design. To this end, an implementation study was conducted by visualizing various research problems using a design-based inquiry method for 12 graduate students attending T University. The design-oriented convergence class was conducted in a small group with content that was deepened into a visual strategy by the expression technique given by the external environment and the learner's own inner motivation. In order to express the perspective and intention of the research problem in the research, the convergence design research expressed using various visual strategies such as metaphorical use and analysis of visual data in the research process and sensory approach to the research problem was presented in a form that expresses the creative thinking process. As a way of exploration, the teaching method of presenting results based on various experiences suggests changes in new teaching formats, practical knowledge sharing by instructors, and community participation by learning participants.

  • 초고속 인터넷 망의 구축에 따라 정보통신 교육이 활성화에 힘입어 직.간접적으로 응용하기 위한 노력이 지속적으로 진행되어 왔다. 웹 기반 원격강의는 원거리 학습자들의 학습욕구를 자기 주도적인 학습이 되도록 전체적인 수업을 진행하므로 학습과정에서의 질의 응답을 교수자에게 면대면으로 제공하지 못하였다. 따라서 학습자가 요구한 질의 내용을 잘못 이해함에 따라 교수자가 학습과정에서의 피드백 제공을 하지 못함으로써 개인학습의 동기부여가 감소됨에 따라 흥미를 입게 되었다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 웹 기반 서비스에 대한 체계적인 분석 및 설계를 위해 네비게이션 모델을 통해 질의 응답을 지원하는 QALT(Question Answer Learning Tool)를 설계 및 구현한다. 원격강의는 웹 상에서 기본적인 컨텐츠를 제시하고 그를 통해 수업이 진행되는 과정에서의 질의 응답의 문제점을 개선하기 위해 일다대(One-To-Many)의 서비스를 제공한다. 또한. 학습자는 교수자가 지정한 교육용 서버를 통해 텍스트 형식이 아닌 강의자료로 쓰인 문서파일에 직접 작성하여 질의 응답을 가능하게 된다. 그로 인해 교수자와 학생간의 질의 응답을 통해 상호작용을 원활하게 할 수 있는 보조학습도구로써의 사용이 증가될 것이다. 또한 서버에서의 폴더 서비스와 메일링 서비스를 통해 실시간 질의 응답이 가능함으로써 학습자는 강의파일에서 그림에 관한 질문에 효과를 볼 수 있고 교수자는 질문 받은 내용의 위치를 시각적으로 쉽게 볼 수 있으므로 빠른 응답이 가능하게 될 것이다.

Effectiveness of Online Learning Tools in College Education: Experiments in Physical Geography (자연지리 강좌를 대상으로 한 온라인 러닝의 효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to quantitatively evaluate the effectiveness of learning management systems (LMS) in the physical geography class. The study adopted the experimental design and three classes participated in this study. The first class was controlled using only classroom lectures, the second class used PPT slides along with the classroom lectures, and the third class used online video clips along with the lectures. The experiments were conducted from the Spring Semester 2007 to the Spring Semester 2008 for the introductory physical geography course. The study results showed that online learning tools help students improve academic performance and their attitudes towards the class and the instructor. Compared to simple PowerPoint slides, voice recording attached to the visual lecture slide materials enhanced students' motivation. Class lectures with lecture slides did not improve students' scores. However, when the visual materials were combined with voice recording, the number of internet access to online class materials increased, and class attendance and students' final grades were improved. Based on the results, the instructional design model that combines classroom and online learning was suggested.

Development of a Remote Dust Collector Bag Control System using Power Line Communication (전력선 통신을 이용한 원격 집진기 bag 제어 시스템 개발)

  • Advances in communications and control technology, the strengthening of the Internet, and the growing recognition of the urgency to reduce the risk and production cost are motivating the development of improvements in the traditional manufacturing industry. In this paper, we developed a remote dust collector bag control system which is a combination of advanced IT and traditional dust collector based on the event. At first, we made the A/D(Analog/Digital) converter using a micro processor because the differential pressure transmission, which is a sensor of the dust collector, produces analog volt data. A/D converter can provide RS-232 communication to connect with Power Line Communication(PLC) modem. And, n-bytes message format was defined for the efficient dust collector bag information transmission from a dust collector to a user. Also, we designed the data types to model the dust collector and the dust collector bag, and they were logically modeled using XML and object-oriented modeling method. In addition to that, we implemented the system for showing the dust collector bag exchange time exactly to users at real-time using various visual user interfaces.

Neutral Data Generation Algorithm for EPC-based Manufacturing Process Collaboration (EPC 기반의 제조 공정 협업을 위한 중립 데이터 생성 알고리즘)

  • In highly complex EPC(engineering, procurement, construction)-based manufacturing processes such as shipbuilding and marine plants, it is essential to prepare a way to enable organic working at the site referring to each other's detailed working data for collaboration between partner companies. However, companies cannot share the progress of the sites including working information in real-time due to the use of SW unique to each company and the complex site management system. As a result, the construction process is delayed, and resources are used inefficiently. This study developed a neutral data generation algorithm that can apply the working information in various file formats to a collaborative manufacturing process. In addition, this study verified the accuracy of the algorithm by applying the developed algorithm to the manufacturing process of piping in shipbuilding and marine plants, developing the SW for visualization of working information using the generated neutral data, and comparing the coordinate, shape & dimension and the kind, number, and spec. of BOM. The result confirmed that the accuracy of the coordinate of the neutral data was 99%, and that of the shape & dimension of the neutral data and BOM Spec. was both 100%. It is thought that this study can be used for overcoming the restrictions in information sharing due to the development of informatization at companies and maximizing the share of working file information in a complex manufacturing process.

Duty Cycle Scheduling considering Delay Time Constraints in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선네트워크에서의 지연시간제약을 고려한 듀티사이클 스케쥴링)

  • In this paper, we consider duty-cycled wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in which sensor nodes are periodically dormant in order to reduce energy consumption. In such networks, as the duty cycle interval increases, the energy consumption decreases. However, a higher duty cycle interval leads to the increase in the end-to-end (E2E) delay. Many applications of WSNs are delay-sensitive and require packets to be delivered from the sensr nodes to the sink with delay requirements. Most of existing studies focus on only reducing the E2E delay, rather than considering the delay bound requirement, which makes hard to achieve the balanced performance between E2E delay and energy consumption. A few study that considered delay bound requirement require time synchronization between neighboring nodes or a specific distribution of deployed nodes. In order to address limitations of existing works, we propose a duty-cycle scheduling algorithm that aims to achieve low energy consumption, while satisfying the delay requirements. To that end, we first estimate the probability distribution for the E2E delay. Then, by using the obtained distribution we determine the maximal duty cycle interval that still satisfies the delay constraint. Simulation results show that the proposed design can satisfy the given delay bound requirements while achieving low energy consumption.

Study on Development of Perception Arts Action Group Counseling Program Focused on Popcorn Brain Phenomenon (팝콘브레인 현상에 대한 지각예술작용 집단상담 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This thesis revolves around dual sensory therapy techniques using perception arts group counseling program focused on Popcorn Brain phenomenon. The program emphasizes intrinsic motivations for changes by activating the brain's dual sensory such as a sense of smell, tactile sensation and vision to deal with brain issues caused by digital devices addiction. Perception arts group counseling program is based on voluntary satisfaction of relationship desires, which can lead to a sense of accomplishment and belonging. Expression methods using dual sensory were presented as an alternative to resolving digital devices addiction by blending cognitive-behavioral counseling technique and group art therapy technique. The blending method offers an environment that can maintain a change to a senseless and lackluster brian due to excessive uses of digital devices, the main cause of Popcorn Brain, by emphasizing "thoughts${\rightarrow}$emotions${\rightarrow}$behavior" with a structural expression approach. If perception arts group counseling program is established in more systematic fashion and used strategically to offer such environment, it may be used as a treatment for brain issues described above. In addition, the program can be used a basis for encouraging voluntary treatment to satisfy relationship desires.

Relationship among the use of food-related content, dietary behaviors, and dietary self-efficacy of high school students in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas (서울 및 경기지역 고등학생의 음식 콘텐츠 이용 수준, 식습관 및 식이자기효능감의 관계)

  • Purpose: This study examined the relationship among the use of food-related content (FRC), dietary behaviors, and dietary self-efficacy to demonstrate the need for nutrition education to help adolescents build healthy eating habits and provide evidence for developing nutrition education programs for adolescents. Methods: Three hundred and eighty-one high school students in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas participated in the study. The subjects were divided into three groups (low, medium, and high) according to the level of use of the FRC, and their general characteristics, dietary behaviors, and dietary self-efficacy were analyzed. Correlation analysis was performed between FRC usage, dietary behaviors, and dietary self-efficacy, and the mediating effects of dietary self-efficacy on the relationship between the level of the use of FRC and dietary behaviors were estimated. Results: A higher level of FRC usage was associated with an increased daily cost of eating out and snacking, but no difference was observed in the BMI range. The subjects in a group with a high level of FRC usage ate convenience store or instant foods instead of homemade meals (p = 0.033), had a late-night meal or snack (p = 0.024), and turned to emotional eating under stress (p < 0.001) more than those in the low level group. In addition, the high level group checked the nutrition facts label more carefully when purchasing processed foods (p = 0.016) and exercised at least 30 minutes daily, not considering physical education classes (p = 0.057). The higher level of FRC use, the lower the dietary self-efficacy, whereby the subscales 'environmental stimulus control efficacy' and 'affective factor control efficacy' showed complete mediating effects. Conclusion: Given that FRC has been increased recently, adolescents are in need of support to help them control and enhance their dietary self-efficacy as well as develop healthy dietary behaviors through proper nutrition education programs.
