A Next Generation Electronic Bulletin Board Supporting N-Screen for a College Information System (대학정보시스템을 위한 N-Screen 지원 차세대 전자게시판)

  • The information delivery and transmission media(DID or PID) market is making remarkable growth as the high-speed networks are spreading and LCD/LED TVs are more and more popularized, and display devices are increasingly large and high-definition. In addition, the popularization of smart devices and the expansion of the information delivery and transmission media market make a demand for N-Screen in content service. Colleges and universities have installed and operated various types of DID to promote their schools and departments and deliver information about them, still remaining in the level of media content implementation. So, we implement and evaluate a next-generation electronic bulletin board for each department that allows for interactive N-Screen communication based on the integration of smart phone and internet. This board enhanced efficiency as supporting N-Screen, inserting and deleting the contents at real time and offering bidirectional communication.

  • The Linux operating system is expanding to include desktops and servers, as well as mobile devices, automobiles and embedded devices, and is the dominant operating system category because it is freely available and open source software. However, the desktop market is dominated by Microsoft's Windows, and Apple's Mac OS is increasingly dominated by enthusiasts, but Linux's growth is stagnant. An important element to make up for this deficiency is the X Window System. Most Linux distributions still use the traditional X.org server as the X Window System, but it is heavy and slow. To replace it, a new X window system called Wayland emerged. Wayland is small and light enough to fit on an embedded or mobile device, so it can be mounted on the IoT related device as well as on the desktop. With the advent of Wayland, the change in the X window will accelerate the popularization of Linux.

  • TV has evolved into thin and wide shaped due to the huge sales of LCD. And it makes many houses own large TV easily. After that TV technology focuses on large and high-definition screen. Recently majority of TV market is that of smart TV which is equipped with internet and GPOS(General Purpose Operating System) so people can install several applications on TV. Yet smart TV's remote controllers are not suitable for several applications. Especially there is no way to provide people with sufficient interactivity with game contents of TV. In this paper, we proposed new methodology for interworking between smart TV and smart device to enhance interactivity of smart TV platform game.

  • Recently, N-screen service and secondary device have gotten an attention from public. Also, we can experience N-screen service through various digital devices. N-screen means multimedia technology which can seamlessly consume multimedia content. Secondary device means auxiliary multimedia device which can consume content related to main content through adjunct connection to main device. Not only be electronic manufactures interested in N-screen technology and services but also digital devices applied for N-screen have been released. But it has limitation that user can only consume content to be purchased from content company server not device of user. This paper proposes the system that composes effective and various N-screen multimedia service through MPEG-4 LASeR (Lightweight Application Scene Representation) PMSI (Presentation and Modification of Structured Information) as international standard technology which can provide scene description including many instruction for dynamic update of scene.

  • Recently, as more web-based applications are widely used, various methods for education are developed in practical areas. As a result, in many organizations, virtual educations such as WBI learning. CAI, and distance learning are offered actively. With the advantages of web-based education, in order to achieve feasible and efficient effects on education. a new web-based instruction model that considers the abilities, the interests, and the aptitudes of students individually is required. In this paper, a new web-based instruction model, called a hybrid model, is proposed and implemented. And then, two model - the stepwise model and the hybrid model- are applied to a computer accounting class of a vocational high school. Students attend the web-based class in a computer center for 100 minutes autonomously. After the classes, a questionnaire is made in order to analyze both the effect on that class and the learning fulfillment of the proposed instruction model.

  • It is noticeable that the number of newly registered Android applications increases rapidly. Such a recent trend indicates the Android platform is spreading globally. The ongoing platform upgrade might be one of the main reasons of the popularity of the Android mobile platform. Android platform 4.0 or later provides WiFi-Direct APIs that allow smart devices to communicate with each other without intermediate media. In this paper, we propose design and implementation techniques for small-scale impromptu meeting applications based on WiFi-Direct. The proposed meeting application can be used in a situation when one is difficult to connect the Internet. It also provides meeting data sharing capabilities, noting functionality, real-time remote screen control, and grouping of meeting participants. Our development results have demonstrated that the Android WiFi-Direct APIs can be effectively applied to impromptu conferencing mobile applications.

  • Recently. smartphones have been popularized rapidly and now located deep in our daily life, providing a variety of services from banking, SNS (Social Network Service), and entertainment to smart-work mobile office through apps. Such smartphone apps can be easily downloaded from what is known as app store which, however, bears many security issues as software developers can just as easily upload to it. Military apps will be exposed to a myriad of security threats if distributed through internet-basis commercial app store. In order to mitigate such security concerns, this paper suggests a security guidelines for establishing a military-excusive app store and security verification system which prevent the security hazards that can occur during the process of development and distribution of military-use mobile apps.

  • Conventional design producing systems using the Internet are largely classified into two groups: a basic type in which an operator of a design producing site receives an order for manufacture of a design from a purchaser, produces the design based on the content of the received order, and delivers the produced design to the purchaser; and a type in which a purchaser inspects given designs and select one of them for purchasing. Such conventional design producing systems have following problems. Firstly, receiving an order over the internet and delivering a produced design to a purchaser has nearly the same procedure as a conventional logo design procedure with the sole exception that an order can be received through the Internet. Therefore, the production of a design still costs a great deal and takes much time. Secondly, inspecting given designs, selecting one and producing the selected design is like simply selecting a picture, and thus a purchaser is not allowed to modify a design. To solve the above problems, it is an object of the present a new solution to provide a self-design producing system and method using network, in which a purchaser searches a design database for a design suitable for the purchaser's company, determines a design database by modifying design conditions, and makes an order for manufacture of a product to which the determined design is applied, through the Internet.

  • Since the appearance of moving images, the expansion of mass media such as 1V or VCR has made the pace and range of spreading information to people faster and widely popular. Recendy, the development of digital image technique has resulted in solving the problem -great defect- of the display quality of analogue system; special effects by means of computer graphics have risen to a higher quality level; showed the new direction of digital image; and popular wi1h people all c:Ner the world. This paper reestablishes the notion of image up to now, and analyses the technical differences between analogue system and digital system on the basis of the SpecifIC property and skill of digital image editing; it also studies the special effects which can be applied to the image editing software. Moreover, in researdting 1V advertising, the special effects by digital system in use in 1his country today complies with the statistics in their own field. The special effects in 1V advertising is performed at a higher standard by a professional production. Accordingly, with the help of technology of digital moving image, the special effects are expected to continue developing into a level of high quality

Credibility of e-WOM in Travel Industry, and Its Influence in WOM Effect (온라인 구전 여행정보의 신뢰와 구전효과 연구)

  • Today's wide-spread Internet technology allowed consumers to access much Word-of-Mouth information through an online board. As communication and exchanging information between travelers becomes easier and faster, e-WOM (Electronic Word-of-Mouth) is recognized as one of the most influencing communication methods in today's society. This new trend implies a significant impact to travel industry. This study focuses on interaction between Credibility on e-WOM, brand attitude, WOM acceptance, WOM activity and purchasing intention of travel product. The result of this study suggests: (1) Credibility in e-WOM provides positive effect in brand attitude, (2) Brand Attitude gives positive effect on WOM acceptance, WOM activity and purchasing intention of travel product, (3) WOM acceptance gives positive effect on WOM activity, but it is not effective on purchasing intention of travel product. Regarding e-WOM management of travel agencies through its website or online community, authors would like to argue that travel agencies need to build positive brand attitude based on Credibility in brand, which would lead consumers to positively acknowledge its brand and spread words out to other consumers.
