The research findings are summarized as follows: First, in terms of mental representation, children in foster care showed less subjects of empathic relations and more subjects of disorganized aggression than typical children. Second, children in foster care showed lower coherence mental representation than typical children. • This study examined the influence of cognitive-emotional regulation, emotional self-disclosure and maternal psychological control on adolescent depression. The participants in this study consisted of 280 middle school students and 287 high school students in Gyung Gi Province, Korea. The results of this study were as follows. First, the high school students exhibited higher scores on depression than middle school students while there were no meaningful differences in maternal psychological control, cognitive-emotional regulation and emotional self-disclosure. Second, both middle and high school students' depression levels were positively associated with maternal psychological control and maladaptive cognitive-emotional regulation. Both middle and high school students' depression was negatively associated with emotional self-disclosure. Third, maladaptive cognitive-emotional regulation and maternal psychological control had a significant effect on both middle and high school students' depression levels, while emotional self-disclosure had a significant effect on high school students' depression only. In both age groups there was an interactive effect of maladaptive cognitive-emotional regulation and maternal psychological control on depression.

  • The ultimate purpose of psychotherapy is to identify covert causes of a psychological problem and then to modify and change the causes. The goal of this study is also to make contribution to SNS addiction intervention program development through exploring the covert causes of SNS addiction which recently became social issue. Previous research identified such overt causes of SNS addiction as maladaptive self-concept (e.g., low self-esteem), maladaptive personality (e.g., strong narcissism) and strong negative emotions (e.g., high level of anxiety). Based on previous research, the study explored early maladaptive schema (i.e., cognitive dimension) and emotion dysregulation (i.e., emotional dimension) as the covert causes of SNS addiction and conceptually developed psychological maladaptive mechanism of 'early maladaptive schema ${\rightarrow}$ emotion dysregulation ${\rightarrow}$ SNS addiction.' As a result of a survey with respondents in their 20's who are at high risk for SNS addiction, the mechanism was confirmed for females. However, a significant relationship of 'early maladaptive schema ${\rightarrow}$ SNS addiction' was found for males. The findings offer an implication that interventions of early maladaptive schema for males and females in their 20's and interventions of emotion dysregulation for females in their 20's can fundamentally help cure their SNS addiction.

  • The present study tested a hypothesis that mood awareness and emotional expressivity would attenuate the association between academic stress and adjustment. In support of the hypothesis, the present research showed that emotional expressivity moderated the association between academic stress and adjustment among college students. That is, the association was attenuated by emotional expressivity when academic stress was high more than when academic stress was low. Curiously, we also identified an interesting diversion between two factors of mood awareness. Specifically, mood monitoring moderated the negative association between academic stress and adjustment, whereas mood labeling did not. That is, mood monitoring was particularly effective when academic stress was high, but mood labeling showed substantial benefits regardless of the level of academic stress. Overall, the present results suggest that mood awareness (in particular, mood labeling) and emotional expressivity serve as cognitive and behavioral protective factors that can buffer academic stress among college students.

  • This review aims to propose a model that can reinterpret the abnormal and functional connections between cognitive processes and emotional regulations based on the neurocognitive networks for a comprehensive understanding of pathologic processes and treatment approach of depression and anxiety disorder. Through the processes of rebuilding the network model for depression and anxiety disorder, it was confirmed that depression can be said to be 'over-immersion in self-referencing' due to hyper-activation of default mode network (DMN), and anxiety disorders to be 'disconnection with self-referencing' due to hypo-activation of DMN. The attempts to link up between abnormal activation and pathological function of DMN which is thought to be involved in self-referential processing associated with self-consciousness and projection among neurocognitive networks may be another starting point that can afford to be suggestive in integrated interpretation and therapeutic approach to depression and anxiety disorder.

  • This study aimed to explore the relationships between random item usage and gaming disorder tendency. A total of 413 adults participated and demographic and psychosocial variables were collected using Cloninger's Temperament and Character Inventory, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, and Daily Hassles Scale for Korean Worker. The results are as follows. First, two-third of gamers used the random item games and women are more engaged than men in random item games. Second, there were significant differences of gaming disorder tendency, game use time, and game use money (both for general and random item) depending on the item use type. Third, predictors of gaming disorder tendency were found as game use money (general), game use time, maladaptive emotion regulation, stress, novelty seeking, and stress using multiple regression analysis. Proper intervention for gaming disorder tendency and the need of further research were discussed.

This research examined affective commitment as the factor expected to increase organizational creativity. Clarifying the relationship between affective commitment and organizational creativity, we consider training motivation as a moderator. The participants in this empirical study were 472 employees and 64 firms' CEO to confirm hypotheses that training motivation make strengthen the positive relationship between affective commitment and organizational creativity. Results showed that organizational creativity was associated with affective commitment. Moreover, there was a moderating effect of training motivation on the relationship between organizational commitment and organizational creativity. This study attempted to avoid common method bias by using different sources such as CEO's response and employees' response. The implications for future research are discussed, including exploring the mechanism of organizational creativity and practice.

The main finding of this study were as follows; First, there were significant differences in the school life satisfaction of middle school students according to self-directed learning capability and behavioral emotion regulation strategy. Second, there were significant differences in the school life satisfaction of middle school students by cognitive emotion regulation strategy. But there were no significant differences in the school life satisfaction according to self-directed learning capability and cognitive emotion regulation strategy. Third, there were significant differences in the school life satisfaction of middle school students according to negative avoidant and emotion regulation strategy. However there were no significant differences in the school life satisfaction according to self-directed learning capability and negative avoidant emotion regulation strategy.

  • The current study examines whether the dementia experience and social support is associated with dementia attitude and whether health literacy moderates the relationship between these variables. We used data from the 2016 Dementia Literacy Survey collected by K University. We conducted our analysis with 522 community-dwelling older Koreans aged 60 to 79. Findings of the multivariate regression analyses showed belows. First, dementia experience and dementia attitude were related in cognitive and behavioral aspects. Second, social support was also related negatively with dementia attitude in cognitive part. However, social support was also related positively with dementia attitude in behavior part. Third, health literacy was positively related with dementia attitude in cognitive part. However, health literacy was negatively related with dementia attitude in behavior part. Lastly, health literacy had significant moderating effects with social support and dementia attitude in cognitive part. Our findings suggest that health literacy plays an important role in fostering a positive dementia attitude.

  • This study examined the relationships between children's cool executive function(cool EF), hot executive function(hot EF) and self-regulation according to the developmental changes. Children aged 3-5 years (N = 104) participated in this study. The participants completed cool and hot EF tasks and teachers reported on the children's cognitive regulation, emotional regulation, and behavioral regulation by means of questionnaires. The results indicated that cool EF and hot EF had different developmental patterns according to different age groups. High levels of cool/hot EF predicted better abilities in terms of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral regulation respectively. The relationship between coo/hot EF and cognitive/behavioral regulation were moderated by age, except in the case of emotional regulation. This paper also offers a detailed discussion of results and recommendations for future studies.
