A Study on Analysis of Accident Rate and the Latent Condition of Accident for Helicopters in Korea (국내 회전익 항공기 사고율 분석 및 사고의 잠재적 조건에 관한 연구)

  • There were a total of 65 accidents of helicopers between 1990 and 2013. The overall accidents rate has remained around 8 accidents per 100,000 flight hours, and the fatal rate has stayed at about 8 accidents per 100,000 flight hours. In this study, we conduct a series of statistical analyses to investigate the significance of latent failure of groups that operate the helicopter. Analysis of variance demonstrated significant differences in the latent condition score for the 3 groups, with the lower accidents rate groups reporting better scores of latent condition. Results indicated that there are the significant differences of latent condition in accidents between groups of high accidents rate and groups of low accidents rate.

  • Korea's economic development plans instituted in the 1970's, affected by the growth centered policy and rapid industrialization, have prevailed without having aviation safety management system, along with the safety of the other various means of transportation, settled in its place, and subsequently, the aviation accidents occurred until the beginning of year 2000 have incurred an enormous social expense, not to say of a massive loss of human lives. Especially, with regard to the causal factors of accidents, most of recent accidents have been associated with human factor of airmen, thus, only if this can be detected in advance and prevented, the aircraft accident rate will be reduced by a large margin. Therefore, in order to develope improvement methods on the safety system of civil aviation, in this study, safety management system has been divided into three stages: an advance preventive system, a handling system at an accident's occurrence and a post accident handling system, and thereby improvement methods on aviation safety have been suggested for each stage. The threatening factors agatinst aviation safety have been found to be the absence of management standards and regulations, the indifference to or the lack of the law abiding apirit as major factors, and in order to improve on which, it is required that the settlement of the institutional safety management system should precede, and that the Government and the aviation industry should also make a continuous effort to identify the threatening factors against aviation safety, and to provide incentives for the law abiding spirit and the attitude of giving top priority to safety to spread among all the employees.

A Study on the Causes and Improvement Plans for Firefighters' Casualty Accidents During Rescue Activities related to the Water - 4M Analysis - (수난구조활동 중 소방공무원 순직사고의 원인과 대응방안에 관한 연구 - 4M분석기법을 중심으로 -)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to prepare an environment that can provide high-quality 119 rescue services by analyzing the causes of casualties at the water rescue and suggesting improvement plans to prevent them. Method: 5 major cases were analyzed among firefighters' casualty accidents during rescue activities related to the water over the past 10 years for case study. And the causes of the accidents were analyzed in terms of 4 values (Man, Machine, Media, Management) through the 4M analysis technique. Result: ① man: the main causes are lack of awareness of on-site safety, etc ② machine: the problem of the absence of the equipment itself, etc ③ media: the lack of information on the rescue site and the poor rescue environment conditions, ④ management : the main causes were the absence and inadequacy of the response manual for each rescue site, Conclusion: ① man: knowledge of SOP and reinforcement of education and training, etc. ② machine: there are measures such as the introduction of equipment suitable for the changing rescue site, ③media: providing sufficient information about the rescue activity environment and conducting regular road training, ④ management: policy suggestions such as establishment and dissemination of on-site safety management plans and manuals were derived.

  • We develop the database program for accident cause analysis which can help to increase domestic safety custom and prevent recurrence of gas accident and analyze accidents easily The program developed in this study consists of two parts. one part uses accident case database applied if than rule, so it finds root causes by inference of some input values. The other uses Root Cause Analysis Map which divided human errors and equipment difficulties and so we get general root cause by reply some proper questions.

  • Recently, users of bicycles as a green mode are rising sharply, but there are few efforts to increase bicycle safety and to decrease the number of accidents between vehicles and bicycle users. Therefore, this research seeks to improve bicycle safety at intersections by analysing causation factors of bicycle accidents pattern and providing optimal intersection design guidelines. For this study, real bicycle accident data of fifty six occurred in the Incheon metropolitan area in the year of 2005 were collected and field surveys were conducted. In addition, this research developed a bicycle accident pattern model with using multinomial logit model. The model results showed that presence of fatality, presence of traffic islands on the minor road, highway_type, weather, presence of traffic bus_stop on the major road, minor road lane width, victim induce factor are significant for bicycle safety.

  • The model for ship maneuvering simulation is to enhance the competence of officer's ship maneuvering skills such as navigation equipment operation, collision avoidances, countermeasure an emergency situation so on. Despite using such ship maneuvering model, critical maritime accidents are occurred periodically in the world. To find adequate simulation model to evaluate competence abilities of deck officer who have maneuvering skills with some competence levels, we search the standard ship maneuvering method representing on the part 3 Person Overboard(POB) to onboard emergences of IAMSAR manual. Moreover we monitor the officer's human factors appearing during education and training and consider the use of human factors as fundamental data.

  • It is very important to protect life, property at sea and marine environments from any pollution. AIS, which has been carried out July 1st, 2002 by SOLAS ch. 5, is an communication system to enhance navigational safety by transmitting and receiving vessel information automatically. In this paper. we investigated the positive factors expected by introducing AIS. For this, ship's collision accidents were analyzed. Finally. we suggest methods to solve several problems related to operation in AIS.

  • Under the recent situation that there increase the efforts to facilitate DFS(driver feedback sign) in school zones and children's protection areas caused by severity of traffic impact on children, the current study aims at predictively evaluating how and to what extent the reduced car speed is influential to the reduction of traffic accidents in elementary schools located in Buchon city by analyzing the velocity variation before and after DFS installation including its reduction ratio in traffic accidents as well as related literature survey. It, furthermore, aims at identifying applicable effectiveness in DFS operation for elementary schoolers in Buchon based on the data collected.

서비스 제공자의 성격이 서비스 교육성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 서비스 교육성과에 미치는 영향으로 성격의 요안을 살펴봄으로써 서비스 지향적인 직원들의 채용 및 서비스 교육의 방향에 대해 연구하자 하였다. 최근 기업 간의 경쟁이 치열해 지면서 고객들에게 제품이외의 것을 제공하여 고객만족을 통한 차별화에 관심을 주기 시작 하였다. 이라한 기업들은 '고객만족' 을 위해 물리적 자원과 서비스 제공자의 인적자원을 포함하여 광범위하게 노력을 기울였다. 그러나 변화무쌍한 고객의 기대에는 더 광범위한 노력이 필요하였다. 따라서 인적자원의 노력이 필요하였다. 특히 서비스를 제공하는 기업에는 고객의 접점에서 일하는 직원들의 수행능력이 고객의 기대에 만족을 줄 뿐만 아니라 기업의 이미지에도 영향을 마찰 수 있기 때문에 직원들의 고객 지향적 사고 및 행동은 고객만족에 영향을 주는 하나의 요소로 볼 수 있다. 특히 접점에서 대면하는 직원들의 지속적인 서비스 교육을 통해서 기본적인 고객응대와 고객 지향적인 사고를 전달하여 기업의 경쟁력을 향상시치고 변화하는 고객의 기대에 부응하고자 노력하고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 이론적 근거를 토대로 연구모형을 설계하고 가설 검증을 하기 위해 유통서비스에서 1회 이상의 서비스교육을 받은 접점의 직원들을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하여 성격과 서비스 교유의 전과 후 성과 빚 서비스 교유 횟수에 대해 조사하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성격과 서비스 교육성과에 미치는 영향을 볼 때 성취지향성 (ambition), 배려성(likeability), 신중성 (prudence)은 서비스교육성과에 영향을 미친다고 나타났다. 이는 직윈 채용에 있어 성격요인 분석을 할 필요성이 있을 것으로 생각된다. 서비스 지향적인 사고를 지니고 있고, 서비스 교육을 지속적으로 진행하는 기업의 특성에 맞는 직원을 채용함으로써 교육성과의 극대화와 기업의 이익창출 빚 이미지제고의 긍정적인 영향을 줄 것으로 기대된다. 둘째, 서비스 교유 횟수가 성격과 서비스 교육성과 간의 조절 작용 여부를 검증할 결과 성취지향성 (ambition), 사회성 (sociability), 지적호기심(intellectance) 이 조절 작용을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 직원의 특성에 맞는 적절한 교유 횟수에 대한 방안을 모색할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또는 집단 안에서 비슷한 성격의 직원들로 구성하여 그 구성원들의 서비스 교육진행에 있어 교육 횟수를 조절한다면 서비스 교육의 성과를 극대화 할 수 있을 것으로 예상할 수 있다. 마지막으로 교육생의 학력수준이 성격과 서비스 교육성과 간의 조절 작용여부를 검증한 결과 학력과는 무관한 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 교육생의 학력수준으로 서비스 교육의 성과를 결정하는 요소가 아님을 알 수 있다.

  • 85-90% of the causes of traffic accidents are human factors, and autonomous vehicles with little free running distance can be an alternative to prevent traffic accidents caused by human factors. However, securing safety of autonomous vehicles should be preceded in order to reduce traffic accident damage through the introduction of autonomous vehicles. Therefore, it is necessary to verify whether the vehicle can respond appropriately to changes in the road and traffic environment through repeated and reproduced test runs in an environment similar to the actual road. In this study, K-City's development strategies for upgrading, differentiating, and systematic development were established by comparing and analyzing the current status of domestic and foreign testbeds and business environment analysis. Furthermore, we derive challenge tasks to achieve each strategy.
