As a form of convergence studies, many studies on electronic cultural atlas have been performed. In this paper, our objective is to design an electronic cultural atlas for utilizing photo contents based on display and sharing effect. This is one of the ways to effectively use various photo contents. Through electronic cultural atlas, photo contents are recognized as an object that contains a lot of information. To do this, we design an electronic cultural atlas for utilizing photo contents, and investigate the utilization differences through comparison with existing systems. In detail, we examine the limits of the traditional photo exhibition method, and research on usability of users when an electronic cultural atlas was used to exhibit and share the photos contents efficiently.

The purpose of this study is to arrange a plan for which humanities digital contents can be directly utilized in modern people's life through a convergent approach between humanities and ICT. It inquired into a plan for developing and applying contents, which are made contents in the aspect of cartoon and animation, by excavating contents available for advancing to start-up in Greater China based on the Chinese cultural content archetype. Also, the aim is to offer the integrated start-up DB and child-care mentoring program for advancing to greater China that supports the development in specific ICT start-up item, through a research on smart-phone APP publishing environment based on ICT and a research on mobile big-data ecological environment.

To realize the healthy life of human, mental, physical, and environmental factors must be managed continuously and stably. In order to manage human health, the 21st century healthcare field is essential ongoing interactions and convergence with ICT technologies. Such demands have created a convergence of technologies (fusion technology) in combination with the heterogeneous technologies. And, with the convergence of medical technology and ICT technologies, the development of personalized therapy environments is created. Advances in ICT-converged healthcare services are progressing due to the development of diverse wearable devices. Such ICT fusion system is exponentially increasing the complexity of the ICT convergence healthcare system and is resulting in various technical, institutional, environmental, and cultural issues. This study explores the status of developments in ICT healthcare technologies from the past to date, identifies major technology and policy issues to address these challenges. Finally it will recommend healthcare policies and a future road-map.

This paper will analyze the development and management processes of the STS (Science and Technology Studies) course in the Division of Performative Humanities at College of Humanities, Hanyang University. The STS Course is one of the five integrated courses in Performative Humanities which are recommended for Humanities students as second major options. The Performative Humanities courses were established through support from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology between 2005 and 2009. Then, these courses were integrated as the independent "Division of Performative Humanities", whose courses are being taught today. Among these courses, the STS course is a compositive course which is based on STS and links humanities, science and technology. The establishment of the STS course symbolizes a new integrative approach to interdisciplinary education both in terms of its contents and operation processes. This paper will discuss the roadmap of the STS course and how to manage its education system. The advantages and disadvantages of the course's development process and the result of its management procedures will also be analyzed. With the importance of integrated education being recognized, this paper will analyze how the interdisciplinary STS course is incorporated and operated as a major course in the University. This will enable readers to seek ideas for alternative integrated education models that can be applied in Korea's university system.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the actual strategies used in Inventory Management in the field of Distribution phenomenon. In the first part of the research, theoretical backgrounds will be reviewed in order to provide better understanding the importance of Inventory Management in Distribution Management. The qualitative data were gathered by face to face interviews and a phone interview from four selected intermediaries. The study finds intermediaries practicing JIT in the sales and distribution and maximizing the sales activities and minimizing the inventory cost by giving up on an opportunity cost.

This paper studies how marriage migrants are being depicted in Korean Cinema. In the recent years, the foreign population in South Korea has been increasing and so has done the presence of migrant minorities in media, including cinema. This study discusses that korean cinema shows dominant ideologies of power in Korean society where marriage migrants are located at the bottom. Five films were analyzed and from this analysis five frames were extracted. Marriage migrants are frequently depicted as subordinated or powerless, they are usually women in the role of wives, mothers, and daughters-in-law, they are treated as ethnic others, sexualized others or commodities. Consequently, their relationships with Korean nationals are formed by power relations. Moreover, Korean national who do establish some sort of intimate relationship with the marriage migrants are represented as people in the margins of Korean society. In this way, it is reinforced the social position of marriage migrants as outsiders in the Korean society.

As multicultural population has been drastically increasing over the decade in Korea, their quality of life needs to be studied. This study focuses on multicultural youths' suicidal issue in Korea. Suicide is one of the most obvious indicators to show the current status of mental health. Unfortunately, suicide attempt rate of multicultural youths was two-times more than that of non-multicultural youths in Korea during the past two years(2014-15). Through the literature review in Korea as well as the United States, this study explores the related variables to their suicide attempt. Research result says that multicultural youth's suicide is related to a variety of variables, including physical, psychological, educational, socio-economical, and cultural variables. Research implications are as follows: First, these variables can be utilized as predictive or protective factors to prevent their suicide. Second, theoretical framework for comprehensively understanding their suicidal issues needs to be developed. Third, both emergent and normal suicidal interventions need to be provided for multicultural youth in Korea.

The 21st century is an era of knowledge innovation. Under the era background of knowledge explosion and information explosion, the competition among countries is ultimately talent competition. High-end talents are the core element of national competitiveness. Today, with the rapid development of science and technology and knowledge changing with each passing day, the cultivation of students' creativity is the requirement of social development and national progress. This paper makes a comparison between the creativity of business school students in China and Korea with questionnaire survey. Empirical study and comparative study with university students by grade in China and Korea are performed. The test results indicates that there are differences between Korean and Chinese students. Also, university students' creativity are different by grade. This study finds internal reasons for creativity differences and puts forward counter measures and methods for improving students'creativity.

The Reed-Muller code is one of the efficient algorithms for multiple bit error correction, however, its high-computation requirement inherent in the decoding process prohibits its use in practical applications. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a graphics processing unit (GPU)-based parallel error control approach using Reed-Muller R(r, m) coding for real-time wireless communication systems. GPU offers a high-throughput parallel computing platform that can achieve the desired high-performance decoding by exploiting massive parallelism inherent in the algorithm. In addition, we compare the performance of the GPU-based approach with the equivalent sequential approach that runs on the traditional CPU. The experimental results indicate that the proposed GPU-based approach exceedingly outperforms the sequential approach in terms of execution time, yielding over 70× speedup.

To meet the requirements in the global age, the necessity and importance of global education in the field of education is rapidly increasing. However, according to the viewpoint on global education, a general consensus of its definition and model is not clear yet and the substantial outcome falls short of our expectation due to high cost, low effectiveness, and lack of persistency in the process of global education. Furthermore, there has been little research on global education for fostering global capabilities of pre-teachers. In this research, we compared and analyzed the ongoing global education programs for training global teachers in domestic universities. Also, through a study on IT fusion education system for tackling the difficulties in global education, we examined appropriate IT fusion education methods. In particular, beased on big data analysis techniques, we presented a recommendation system to complete a global curriculum, which can help a dual-degree or exchange student program.
