$NO_3$농도 변화에 따른 DNPAOs에 의한 인 제게

  • 본 실험은 An-Ax 조건에서 $NO_3$ loading에 변화를 주면서 DNPAOs의 존재 유무를 확인하고 과연 이 미생물이 무산소조에서 이 PHA를 탄소원으로 인섭취를 할 수 있는지의 여부를 조사하고자 수행하였다. 유입 $NO_3$농도에 따라 전체를 4개의 case로 분류하여 실험을 수행하였다. case I에서는 인섭취가 43.68 mg/day로 거의 일어나지 않았는데 이는 전자수용체로서 $NO_3$가 부족했기 때문 이였다. 다음 caseII에서는 333.36 mg/day로 인섭취량이 많이 증가하였고 case III, IV에서는 각각 447.48, 428.64 mg/day로 거의 일정해졌다. 이를 통해 전자수용체로 $NO_3$를 이용하는 DNPAOs가 존재함을 분명히 알 수 있었고 또한 이 미생물이 최적으로 P 섭취를 할 수 있는 유입 $NO_3$농도는 본 실험 조건에서 는 20mg/L였다.

The Effects of Medical Nutrition Therapy on Plasma Lipid Levels of Apo E3 genotype hyperlipidemic Patients according to Sasang Constitutions (APo E3 Genotype 고지혈증 환자에서 사상체질에 따른 의학영양치료 혈중 지질 농도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of medical nutrition therapy(MNT) on plasma lipid levels of hyperlipidemic patients with apo E3 genotype according to Sasang Constitutions. From March to July, 2001, the 33 hyperlipidemic patients admitted to K University Medical Center were studied. The study subjects were classified according to their Sasang constitutions by QSCC II questionnaire which have been used at K University Oriental Medical Center. The anthropometric assessments, blood analysis, and apo E genetic typing were carried out. Nutrient intake was determined by food record method of food taken during two weekdays and one weekend. The MNT including the instruction for hypolipidemic and hypocholesterolemic diet (step l diet) was performed for 12 weeks. The results are as follow; (1) The mean age of hyperlipidemic patients was $49.91{\pm}8.48$ years. (2) The distributions of Sasang Constitution were 60.6% of Tae-eum, 21.2% of So-yang, and 18.2% of So-eum. The distributions of apo E genotype were 6.5% of apo E2/3, 78.8% of apo E 3/3, and 15.2% of apo E 3/4. (3) The nutrient consumption of the apo E3 subjects before the MNT showed lower calorie, iron, calcium, and vitamin B2 intakes than the RDAs for each nutrients with no significant differences among the constitutions. After 12-week of MNT, only the fat consumption was decreased in the Tae-eum group. The MNT did not change the pattern of food intake. (4) The plasma level of triglyceride, total cholesterol, and LDL-C were not changed after MNT in the three constitutional groups. The level of HDL-C was significantly increased significantly in Tae-eum and So-yang group and the level of homocystein was lowered in Tae-eum group after MNT. It could be concluded that the 12-weeks MNT with hypolipidemic and hypocholesterolemic diet did not change the level of total cholesterol, triglyceride, and LDL-C effectively regardless of Sasang constitutions even though the subjects' dietary intake was improved by MNT.

Control of Wastewater Treatment Removing Phosphate Based on ASM No. 2 Simplified Model and Investigation of Luxury Uptake Limitation (ASM No. 2 간략화 모델에 기초한 인산염의 제어 및 인섭취 제한현상에 대한 고찰)

  • Phosphate is the limiting factor leading to the eutrophication in nature and has been usually removed by the luxury uptake of PAOs(Phosphate accumulating organisms). The purpose of this study was the control of wastewater treatment removing phosphorus. The control of wastewater treatment process was performed by optimal and adaptive control. They were performed as followings. Firstly the inflow phosphate concentration was measured and the optimal aeration time was calculated by simplified ASM No. 2 for the phosphate to be 1.0 mg/L in effluent. It was optimal control. But when the phosphate concentration in effluent was not 1.0 mg/L, adaptive control was necessary to coincide the objective of control with real value. Then it was performed as the objective phosphate concentration in effluent was changed according to calculation of errors and it was adaptive control. The wastewater treatment process had been controlled by them for about one month. The range of phosphate concentration in effluent 0.2$\sim$3.2 mg/L and the average of it was 1.0 mg/L. The limitation of luxury uptake occurred two times while wastewater treatment process was running. After the analysis of laboratory tests, we knew the reasons were the shortage of ammonia nitrogen and the excessive aeration.

Study of Oxygen Concentration and Performance under Driving Conditions for Fuel Cell Vehicle (연료전지자동차 운전환경에서 산소농도와 성능에 대한 연구)

  • 산소분압은 연료전지의 성능을 좌우하는 주요한 인자이다. 실생활에서 공기 중 산소농도는 21%이지만 차량이 많은 도심지역에서는 약 20%, 환기시설이 낙후한 지하주차장은 약 18%까지 산소농도가 감소한다. 높은 고도에서 산소농도는21%이지만 산소분압이 낮아져 연료전지자동차의 효율이 감소하는 영향이 발생될 수 있다. 농도에 따른 연료전지의 성능곡선 결과를 empirical equation에 적용하여 연료전지 자동차의 운전환경에 속하는 산소농도 18$\sim$23% 범위와 고도 0$\sim$4,000 m 범위에서 연료전지의 성능변화를 분석하였다. 공기공급량(SR)이 2일 경우 산소농도에 따른 성능변화를 비교한 결과 산소농도 18%인 성능은 산소농도 21%에 비하여 10%이상 감소하였으며 산소농도 21%를 기준으로 공기공급량이 2인 유량으로 공급할 때 산소농도가 18%까지 낮아질 경우 산소농도 21%에 비하여 22%이상 성능이 감소하는 결과가 나타났다. 고도가 4,000 m인 경우 산소분압은 약 13 kPa까지 낮아지고 이로 인하여 연료전지 성능은 약 25%까지 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • MEO 공정에서 발생하는 질산폐액으로 부터 고농도 질산을 회수하기 위한 증발및 증류 공정특성을 연구하였다. 증발율이 20 이상인 경우 질산회수가 최대가 되는 특정 염농도가 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 증발율이 25인 경우 증발공정에서 발생한 묽은 질산용액을 12 M의 고농도 질산용액으로 농축하기 위한 증류탑을 계산하였다. 그 결과 증류탑은 효을이 70%인 9개의 단으로 구성되고, 환류비 0.25, 재비기 열량 2.7 kW, 응축기 열량 0.4 kW의 운전조건을 도출하였다.

  • 한 시스템 내에 GAOs와 PAOs의 공존은 몇몇의 kinetic과 화학양론적 함축을 가지고 있다. 이는 유기물질 획득율의 측면에서 PAOs가 혐기성 단계에서 GAOs보다 kinetic적으로 유리하다고 제안되고 혐기조건에서 GAOs와 PAOs는 이용 가능한 기질에 대해 경쟁한다. PAOs에 있는 저장과는 달리, GAOs에서 glycogen의 생성은 과잉 인을 요구하지 않는다. 그러므로 GAOs는 성장에 필요한 이상의 인을 섭취하지 않는다. 결과적으로 EBPR 시스템의 방해요인이 될 수 있다. 이용 가능한 기질의 농도는 PAOs와 GAOs의 경쟁구도에 상당한 영향을 미치는 이는 전체 EBPR 시스템 내에서 인 제거 효율에 영향을 미칠 수 있다.

  • In this paper, the processing conditions of the amorphous silicon film growth were investigated the effect in forming the HSG-Si on the surface of the storage electrode. As a result, when the amorphous silicon film phosphorus concentration is greater than $5.5{\pm}0.1E19atoms/cm^3$, HSG-Si is not formed correctly and showed the concentration dependency of HSG formation. Also, the optimum condition of the phosphorus concentration for amorphous silicon and HSG thickness are $4.5E19atoms/cm^3$ and $450{\AA}$, respectively, because of the HSG thickness over the $500{\AA}$ create to bit failure according to a short of the electrodes and the electrode.

Bacterial growth and carbon-to-phosphorus consumption in drinking water with different carbon and phosphorus levels (수돗물의 탄소와 인 농도에 따른 세균의 생장과 C/P 소모율)

  • Bacterial growth and corresponding consumption of carbon and phosphorus were examined in which tap water samples containing a very low concentration of free chlorine were supplemented with organic carbon and/or phosphorus. The experiments were performed in a fed-batch mode under a controlled temperature of $20^{\circ}C$. In the phosphorus alone-added water, there was no significant increase in bacterial numbers measured as heterotrophic plate count (HPC) in the bulk water. However, bacterial growth was stimulated by the addition of carbon (e.g., bulk HPC levels increased to $10^3CFU/mL$) and further stimulated by the combined addition of carbon and phosphorus (e.g., bulk HPC to $10^5CFU/mL$). The same effects were observed in biofilm HPC and biomass formed on polyethylene (PE) slide surfaces. In the water where organic carbon and phosphorus were added together, the highest biofilm HPC and biomass (measured as extracellular polymeric substance components) densities were observed which were $7.6{\times}10^5CFU/cm^2$ and $5.3{\mu}g/cm^2$, respectively. In addition to the bacterial growth, additions of organic carbon and/or phosphorus resulted in different bacterial carbon-to-phosphorus (C/P) consumption ratios. Compared to a typical bacterial C/P consumption ratio of 100:1, a higher C/P ratio (590:1) occurred in the carbon alone-added water, while a lower ratio (40:1) in phosphorus alone-added water. Comparative value (80:1) of C/P ratio was also observed in the water where organic carbon and phosphorus were added together. At the given experimental conditions, bacterial growth was deemed to be more sensitive to microbially available organic carbon than phosphorus. The effect of phosphorus addition, which resulted in a lower C/P consumption ratio, seemed to be tightly associated with the presence of microbially available organic carbon. These results suggested that the control of extrinsic carbon influx seemed to be more important to minimize bacterial regrowth in drinking water system, since even low content of phosphorus naturally occurring in drinking water was enough to allow a bacterial growth.

  • The effect of changing dietary protein sources (meat vs. textured soy protein, TSP) on serum cholesterol and triglyceride concentration and on urinary creatinine and 3-methylhistidine(3-MeHis) excretion was studied in eight healthy women. All subjects were put on the control diet, meat diet, and TSP diet for 3 days in each diet regimen and had 4-day adaptation period between the regimens. The 24-hour urine was collected on the third day of each diet period and fasting blood was sampled on the morning of the fourth day. Serum cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations increased significantly after the meat diet when compared with the control diet, but decreased significantly after the TSP diet. Urinary excretion of creatinine and 3-methylhistidine decreased significantly after the TSP diet when compared with the meat diet.
