  • Computational thinking in the AI and Big Data era for digital society means a series of problem-solving methods that involve expressing problems and their solutions in ways that computers can execute. Computational thinking is an approach to solving problems, designing systems, and understanding human behavior by deriving basic concepts in computer science, and solving difficult problems and elusive puzzles for students. We recently studied 93 pre-service teachers who are currently a freshman at ◯◯ university. The results of the first semester class, the participants created a satisfactory algorithm of the video level. Also, the proposed model was found to contribute greatly to the understanding of the computational thinking of the students participating in the class.

  • The demands of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are growing very rapidly with the era of the 4th industrial revolution. As the technology of the UAV improved with the development of artificial intelligence and semiconductor technology, it began to be used in various civilian fields such as hobbies, bridge inspections, etc from being used for special purposes such as military use. MAVLink (Macro Air Vehicle Link), which started as an open source project, is the most widely used communication protocol between UAV and ground control station. However, MAVLink does not include any security features such as encryption/decryption mechanism, so it is vulnerable to various security threats. Therefore, in this study, the block cipher is implemented in UAV to ensure confidentiality, and the results of the encryption and decryption performance evaluation in the UAV according to various implementation methods are analyzed. In addition, we proposed the security requirements in accordance with Common Criteria, which is an international recognized ISO standard.

  • Recently, de-identification of personal information, which has been a long-cherished desire of the data-based industry, was revised and specified in August 2020. It became the foundation for activating data called crude oil[2] in the fourth industrial era in the industrial field. However, some people are concerned about the infringement of the basic rights of the data subject[3]. Accordingly, a development study was conducted on the Batch De-Identification Tool, a personal information de-identification automation tool. In this study, first, we developed an image labeling tool to label human faces (eyes, nose, mouth) and car license plates of various resolutions to build data for training. Second, an object recognition model was trained to run the object recognition module to perform de-identification of personal information. The automated personal information de-identification tool developed as a result of this research shows the possibility of proactively eliminating privacy violations through online services. These results suggest possibilities for data-based industries to maximize the value of data while balancing privacy and utilization.

  • This study investigates any possible influences of the fourth industrial revolution on international trade in Korea and suggests strategies to promote export of Korea in order to secure one of the biggest international trade countries. The fourth industrial revolution is the fourth major industrial era since the third industrial revolution in the 18th century which used electronics and information technology to automate production. This can be characterized as a range of emerging technologies that are fusing the physical, digital and biological worlds, and impacting all disciplines, economies and industries. Since this revolution is expected to have effects on international trade as well as whole industrial society, it examines how it may affect international trade of Korea in terms of the subject, the object, markets and forms of international trade. After that, it provides the strategies to promote Korean export in order to overcome the risks around the low economic growth of the recent years and the depressed domestic economy.

  • Newly, the fourth industrial revolution is a way of describing the blurring of boundaries between the physical, digital, and biological worlds. It's a fusion of advances in AI (artificial intelligence), robotics, the IoT (Internet of Things), 3d printing, genetic engineering, quantum computing, and other technologies. At the world economic forum in Davos, switzerland, in january 2016, chairman professor klaus schwab proposed the fourth industrial revolution for the first time. In order to apply the AHP (analytic hierarchy process) analysis method, the first stage factors were designed as Natural, Water, Earth and Atom energy. In addition, the second stage factors were organized into 9 detailed energies presented in the conceptual model. Thus, we present the theoretical and practical implications of these results.

  • Government agencies and companies are establishing and promoting digital transformation strategies in various industrial fields, and are leading the era of the 4th industrial revolution through successful technological innovation. In this time of change, we can see many stories of global companies Nike and Starbucks as successful examples of digital transformation. These two companies are showing successful results through digital transformation. Domestic companies are also conducting digital innovation based on mobile, cloud, IoT, artificial intelligence, and AR/VR technologies, and are establishing RPA (Robotic Process Automation) processes for high efficiency and high productivity. In this paper, we introduce the 3D digital twin space construction automation process technique using data from the entire construction cycle of design, construction, and maintenance of the construction industry, and look into the digital transformation strategy of the construction industry in the future.

  • With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, diverse and a large amount of data has been accumulated now. The agricultural community has also collected environmental data that affects the growth of crops in smart farms or open fields with sensors. Environmental data has different features depending on where and when they are measured. Studies have been conducted using collected agricultural data to predict growth and yield with statistics and artificial intelligence. The results of these studies vary greatly depending on the data on which they are based. So, studies to enhance data quality have also been continuously conducted for performance improvement. A lot of data is required for high performance, but if there are outlier or missing values in the data, it can greatly affect the results even if the amount is sufficient. So, adjustment of outlier and missing values is essential in the data preprocessing. Therefore, this paper integrates data collected from actual farms and proposes a adjustment system for outlier and missing values based on it.

  • Recent advancements in modern transportation have led to the active development of various biomedical signal and medical imaging technologies. Particularly, in the field of cognitive/neuroscience, the importance of electroencephalography (EEG) measurement and the development of accurate EEG measurement technology in moving vehicles represent a challenging area. This study aims to extensively investigate and analyze the trends in technology research utilizing EEG during driving. For this purpose, the Scopus database was used to explore EEG-related research conducted since the year 2000, resulting in the selection of about 40 papers. This paper sheds light on the current trends and future directions in signal processing technology, EEG measurement device development, and in-vehicle driver state monitoring technology. Additionally, a ultra compact 32-channel EEG measurement module was designed. By implementing it simply and measuring and analyzing EEG signals, in-vehicle EEG module's functionality was checked. This research anticipates that the technology for measuring and analyzing biometric signals during driving will contribute to driver care and health monitoring in the era of autonomous vehicles.
