The purpose of this study is to predict factors influencing participant demand for the temple stays and to help find alternatives for temple stay marketing strategies. Specifically, the study sought to examine input variables on the visit frequency of temple visitors who partook in temple food. Research subjects were temple stay participants with experience with temple food. Through convenience sampling method, 300 self-administered questionnaires were distributed to participants at 4 temple stays in Seoul. Of the 278 questionnaires collected, 232 (83%) were used for research analysis. Given that the requirement that proper model for analysing the collected data be applied, the Truncated Negative Binomial(TNB) Poisson model, which is useful for analysing count data that are truncated at '0' and overcrowded with a certain value, was selected fort his study. Study results found that, for temple stay food revitalization, the most crucial item for temple food proponents to recognize is natural food ingredients. The degree of affection was higher among respondents over 40 years of groups and with incomes over 40 million won or more than others. In addition, unmarried and male were higher than married and female, and the Christian population in the temple food demand higher impact than Shamanism community. This match should be a priority to establish an in-depth public relations policy of targeted marketing of consumers according to various demographic characteristics. Active and aggressive efforts to expand food inspection are required to promote the healthy image of the temple food to the fragmentation of consumer marketing hierarchy.

The RLC systems is one of the intelligent transportation systems that has gained a nation-wide support for last decades and being installed to discourage motorists from running the red lights at signalized intersections. It is taken for granted that the RLC will provide motorists with increased safety, so that their installments are always justifiable. However, in order to acquire more efficiency and wider supports from the general public in future RLC installments, an improved methodology for analyzing the effects of the RLC systems is required. In order to satisfy this requirement, this research performed the following tasks. First, the number of signal violations after the RLC systems were investigated in order to check its resulting effects. Second, the number of crashes after the RLC systems were collected and compared with the number of signal violations. Third, a statistical analysis was carried out to develop the relationships between the signal violations and the crashes based on negative binomial distribution. The analysis revealed that the number of crashes has a close relationship with the RLC placement, traffic volume, vehicle speed, the number of phases, and the number of lanes for major approaches. Finally, based on the results found in this analysis, this research presents a methodology for analyzing the safety effects of placing the RLC that should be of service when investigating the economic consequences of the RLC systems.

This study was designed to develop functional drink from jujube extract through a simple submerged culture of three basidiomycetes species. The optimum Brix and pH of the jujube extract for culturing the Ganoderma lucidum appeared to be 5 Brix and pH 4. Ten days of culture period produced maximum mycelium. The optimum Brix and pH of the jujube extract for culturing the Coriolus versicolor appeared to be 5 Brix and pH 5. Ten days of culture period produced maximum mycelium. The optimum Brix and pH of the jujube extract for culturing the Phellinus igniarius appeared to be 3 Brix and pH 5. For the maximum mycelial production eighteen days of culture period was required for Phellinus igniarius. The antitumor activity of the polysaccharides extracted from the fermented drinks was demonstrated through the tumor cell line experiments. The $IC_{50}$ values of the jujube drinks fermented with Ganoderma lucidum and Phellinus igniarius against stomach cancer cell line appeared to be one fourth that of the jujube drink which was not fermented with basidiomycetes.

This study was conducted to provide data pertaining to precocious puberty by comparing the psycho-social behavior of girls with precocious puberty to those with normal development. This study was conducted from 1 June 2016 to 25 February 2017. The subjects were 104 female patients of A group with precocious puberty visiting H Oriental medicine clinic and S clinic in Seoul, and 104 girls in control group A and 104 girls in control group B attending elementary school in gun. The psycho-social behavioral characteristics of girls with precocious puberty and those with normal development were compared among 312 girls matched for gender and age using a t-test, ${\chi}^2test$, and ANOVA. In addition, the factors influencing precocious puberty were analyzed through multinomial logistic regression. The results revealed that the primary influence factors were frequency of meat intake (p<0.01) and eating-out (p<0.05). These were followed by watching TV (p<0.001), hours of using smart phone (p<0.01) and number of private institutes attended (p<0.05). Additionally, emotional and physical indexes were lower in the precocious puberty group than the control group, indicating that they have more pathology. Finally, girls in the precocious puberty group have lower family and friendship indexes than those in the control group, which means they have more pathology. Overall, the results indicate that extensive research on the causes and frequency of precocious puberty is necessary.

This study was conducted to provide basic data for the prevention and management of precocious puberty by investigating the relevance of physical parents characteristics and behavioral characteristics of girls with precocious puberty. The research period was June 1, 2016 to February 25, 2017. The subjects were 312 girls matched depending on gender and age which were composed of 104 female patients of precocious puberty visiting H oriental medicine clinic and S one in Seoul, 104 girls of A control group and 104 girls of B control group attending elementary school in gun. A total of 312 of each group were compared though t-test, $X^2$-test, and ANOVA to examine the physical parent characteristics and behavioral characteristics between girls with precocious puberty and normal girls, after which influence factors for precocious puberty were analyzed through multinomial logistic regression. The main influencing factor was found to be the height of their own and mothers' menarcheal age in terms of body and parent characteristics. Other factors influencing behavioral characteristics included the frequency of meat intake and eating-out in terms of eating habits. Additionally, watching TV, hours of using smart phone and number of private institute girls attending were also found to be influencing factors. Thus, interest in school and society in increasing precocious puberty in girls is important and extensive investigation of the causes and frequency of precocious puberty is necessary.

In order to improve the performance of succeeding superstore construction projects, it is essential to find out an effective way for applying the opportunities of improvement on their repetitive construction process based upon the analysis of various success or failure cases occurred on previous similar projects. This research study suggests a way to improve their construction process through the applications of six sigma techniques on superstore construction projects. A literature review was implemented on the basic concept of six sigma and its general performance steps, and the step by step applications of six sigma techniques were accomplished regarding to the speciality of superstore construction projects. The opportunities of improvement for superstore projects were figured out, and the result of their applications on other superstore projects was analyzed. As a result, it was found that the adoption rate of identical success or failure cases was increased. Also, there were several improvement effects on the projects such as $10{\sim}20$ days of time savings by projects, decrease of reworks by preventing failure cases, quality and safety improvement. These results indicate that the six sigma techniques are applicable and valuable for improving the repetitive process of superstore construction projects.
This study analyzed the effect of corporate innovation strategies on patent production and ultimately on technological change and new product development of firms in South Korea. The intent was to derive efficient strategies for enhancing technological performance of the firms. For the empirical analysis, three sources of data were combined: four waves of the Human Capital Corporate Panel Survey (HCCP) data collected by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET), corporate financial data obtained from the Korea Information Service (KIS), and corporate patent data provided by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO). The patent production function was estimated by zero-inflated negative binomial (ZINB) regression. The technological performance function was estimated by two-stage regression, taking into account the endogeneity of patent production. An ordered logit model was applied for the second stage regression. Empirical results confirmed the critical role of corporate innovation strategies in patent production and in facilitating technological change and new product development of the firms. In patent production, the firms' R&D investment and human resources were key determinants. Higher R&D intensity led to more patents, yet with decreasing marginal productivity. A larger stock of registered patents also led to a larger flow of new patent production. Firms were more prolific in patent production when they had high-quality personnel, intensely investing in human resource development, and adopting market-leading or fast-follower strategy as compared to stability strategy. In technological performance, the firms' human resources played a key role in accelerating technological change and new product development. R&D intensity expedited new product development of the firm. Firms adopting market-leading or fast-follower strategy were at an advantage than those with stability strategy in technological performance. Firms prolific in patent production were also advanced in terms of technological change and new product development. However, the nexus between patent production and technological performance measures was substantially reduced when controlling for the endogeneity of patent production. These results suggest that firms need to strengthen the linkage between patent production and technological performance, and take strategies that address each firm's capacities and needs.

The sweetpotato whitefly (SPW), Bemisia tabaci Gennadius, is a major pest in tomato greenhouses on Jeju Island because they transmit viral diseases. To develop practical sampling methods for adult SPWs, yellow-color sticky traps were used in commercial tomato greenhouses throughout the western part of Jeju Island in 2011 and 2012. On the basis of the size and growing conditions in the tomato greenhouses, 20 to 30 traps were installed in each greenhouse for developing a sampling plan. Adult SPWs were more attracted to horizontal traps placed 60 cm above the ground than to vertical trap placed 10 cm above the plant canopy. The spatial patterns of the adult SPWs were evaluated using Taylor's power law (TPL) and Iwao's patchiness regression (IPR). The results showed that adult SPWs were aggregated in each surveyed greenhouse. In this study, TPL showed better performance because of the coefficient of determination ($r^2$). On the basis of the fixed-precision level sampling plan using TPL parameters, more traps were required for higher precision in lower SPW densities per trap. A sequential sampling stop line was constructed using TPL parameters. If the treatment threshold was greater than 10 maximum adult SPWs on a trap, the required traps numbered 15 at a fixed-precision level of 0.25. In estimating the mean density per trap, the proportion of traps with two or more adult SPWs was more efficient than whole counting: ${\ln}(m)=1.19+0.90{\ln}(-{\ln}(1-p_T))$. The results of this study could be used to prevent the dissemination of SPW as a viral disease vector by using accurate control decision in SPW management programs.
