A Research on the Fault Current of DC distribution system considering Converter Characteristics (DC배전 시스템에서 컨버터 특성에 따른 수용가측 고장 영향 분석)

  • The DC distribution system iis a new promising topologies in a field of future smart distribution system. This system has high efficiency and reliability. So it is expected that there would be an increase in the installation of DC distribution systems. In this paper, the parameter of the DC/DC converter impact on customer's the power quailty in the DC distribution system when the fault occurred. For the analysis, DC network to be modeled using PSCAD/EMTDC. The fault is occurred at phase A in secondary side of MTR which is AC system. Then compared voltage and power at the customer side by varying the capacity of capcitor in the DC/DC converter.

  • 기계적에너지를 전기적에너지로 변환하는 발전기를 내 외부 고장으로부터 보호하기 위해 보호계전기가 설치되어 있으며, 이러한 보호계전기의 동작신호 중 하나인 전압신호를 검출하기 위해 발전기와 변압기를 연결하는 모선에 설치된 계기용변성기를 이용한다. 본 논문은 발전기의 보호계전기용 계기용변성기 손상원인에 관한 연구로서, 계기용변성기의 철공진에 이한 손상가능성을 고찰하였고 발전소에 많이 사용되는 G사의 계기용변성기와 손상된 I사의 계기용변성기에 대한 전기적 시험결과를 비교하였으며, 계기용변성기를 직접 절개하여 제작 및 적용특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 발전기 전압신호 검출용 계기용변성기는 발전기 중성점 접지형태에 관계없이 반드시 Line to Line type을 적용해야 함을 도출했다.

  • This paper deals with power integration of large urban railway systems for improvement of regenerative energy utilization. The main idea of this paper is that the integration of railway power systems will increase efficiency through sharing regenerative energy. To verify the effects of this system, case studies for Seoul Metro Line has been performed. Where railway data of Seoul Subway Line 5 and Line 7 are used. In this work, the integrated railway system is modelled using Compaq Visual Fortran.

  • Based on the several advantages of high-temperature superconducting cable, there are many researches about HTS cable. In the aspect of power system engineering, since it has very low impedance, approximately zero, it is profitable for large capacity distribution line into the large scale load. In the step of its verifications, the HTS cable had been installed in Icheon substation and operated. In this paper, the protection coordination for Icheon substation had been designed and verified using PSCAD/EMTDC.

  • In this paper, a configurable DC distributiong system is being proposed considering national power systems conditions and a comparative analysis of the transient response of the contingencies is performed with the conventional AC systems. DC systems are evaluated as a promising next-generation distribution system that provides reliable operation through high efficiency of energy use and converter control. This paper discusses about the required elements for the national DC distribution system and has analysed the fault characteristics of the AC and DC distribution systems using PSCAD/EMTDC. According to the simulation results, the DC system has improved response, due to the DC/DC converter's charging/discharging characteristics, in terms of voltage and power system characteristics when compared to AC systems.

  • Activity-Based Costing(ABC) is an accounting cost system which allocates the overhead cost to each cost object more accurately. ABC system achieves improved accuracy in estimating the cost of cost object by using multiple cost drivers to trace the cost of activities to the cost objects associated with the resources consumed by those activities. The selection and the aggregation of these cost driver candidates can pose difficult problems. This paper deals with these problems in mathematical programming approach. The first model is formulated as an integer programming model in cost driver selection and the second model is formulated as multi-objective goal programming model in reduction of cost drivers already selected.

  • When renewable energy sources fluctuated severely are connected with power system, as conventional plants compensate electrical output with a slow response it causes a frequency and voltage problems. In this paper, we can show that the power system can be operated reliably by connecting with the energy storage which has a fast response time through controlling charge or discharge of energy storage.

  • 본 논문은 철도부하의 이동을 고려한 전력조류계산 알고리즘에 기반하여, 에너지 저장장치를 설치하였을 때 철도계통의 영향 해석에 관한 논문이다. 철도부하는 위치적 변화 뿐 만 아니라 기동-타행-제동의 운전모드의 변화에 따라 전력소비 패턴이 달라지는데, 제동 시에 발생하는 회생에너지를 에너지 저장장치를 이용하여 활용함으로서 에너지 절감 효과 및 가선전압 안정화를 구현할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 서울지하철 2호선의 실계통에 대한 사례연구를 수행하여, 실계통에 에너지 저장장치를 적용함으로서 그 필요성을 증명하였다.

Robust Restoration of Barcode Signals (바코드 신호의 강인한 복원)

  • Existing barcode signal restoration algorithms are not robust to unmodeled outliers that may exist in scanned barcode images due to scratches, dirts, etc. In this paper, we describe a robust barcode signal restoration algorithm that uses the hybrid $L_1-L_2$ norm as a similarity measure. To optimze the similarity measure, we propose a modified iterative reweighted least squares algorithm based on the one step minimization of a quadratic surrogate function. In the simulations and experiments with barcode images, the proposed method showed better robustness than the conventional MSE based method. In addition, the proposed method converged quickly during optimization process.

  • This paper have been dealt with the analysis for energy efficiency improvement effect of unity storage capacity as a part of the energy storage application study to improve energy efficiency in the electric railway systems. Especially, in order to estimate the amount of energy saving according to the variation of power capacity of each storage, the current limit module was mounted on an existing DC electric railway loadflow program which is based on the analysis model for railway system and storages, and combined optimization algorithm to determine optimal voltage boundary.
