레이저보조가공에서 NURBS 곡면 형상의 예열방법에 대한 연구 (Study on the Preheating Method of NURBS Shaped Workpiece by Laser Assisted Machining)

  • Laser-Assisted machining (LAM) is a new method for processing hard-to-cut materials. However, curved shapes are difficult to predict the preheating effect of by LAM because heat sources are changed by moving laser module. So, it is necessary to study the preheating effect of the laser heat source irradiated on a 3-dimensionally shaped workpiece, such as a NURBS shaped workpiece. In this study, thermal analysis and preheating experiment of the LAM for the NURBS shaped workpiece are performed. Also, two machining methods are proposed to avoid interference of laser module and cutting tool. The results of the analysis can be applied to various shaped workpieces by LAM.

  • Laser-assisted machining has shown its potential to significantly improve product quality and reduce manufacturing costs; additionally, laser-assisted turning (LAT) and laser-assisted milling (LAM) have been studied by numerous researchers. A research study on the determination of the distance between the laser heat source and the tool for laser-assisted machining, however, has not yet been attempted; we conducted such an analysis by using a finite-element method and heat-transfer equation. The results of this analysis can be used as a reference for the determination of the distance between the laser heat source and the tool for laser-assisted machining.

주축 런아웃이 절삭흔과 표면거칠기에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spindle Run-out Effects on Cutter Mark and Surface Roughness)

  • The radial error motion of a machine tool cutter/spindle system is critical to the dimensional accuracy of the parts to be machined. This paper presents an investigation into spindle run-out effects on cutting mark and surface roughness. We experimented the effects of spindle run-out on surface roughness in flat-end milling by cutting AL 7075 workpiece in various cutting conditions. In order to analyze the effects of run-out on the surface roughness, the spindle's radial error motions was measured by mounting a sphere target onto the spindle as a reference. From the experimental results, it was found that spindle un-out makes a directive effects on surface roughness in flat-end milling.

  • 지난 10월 10일부터 17일 까지 경복궁 특별전시장에서 열렸던 「제4회 전자 전람회」는 내적 외적으로 커다란 결실을 거두었음이 틀림없다. 전시품목만 하더라도 230종에 5만여점이었으며 이기간 동안 근 10만명에 가까운 관람객이 모여들었다. 국내는 물론 국외 Buyer들의 눈길을 끈 각종 전자제품의 전시를 통해 관람객들은 한국 전자공업의 밝은 앞날을 내다볼 수 있었으며 다양화, 국제화 되어가는 전자공업의 투자영역을 실감할 수 있었다. 특히 이번 전자전에서는 600여명의 외국투자가와 Buyer들이 내한하여 현장에서만도 3천1백만 달러의 거래상담이 이루어져 우리나라 전자업계의 희망찬 내일을 기약케 했다. 100억불 수출을 목표로 하는 전자공업의 진흥발전을 위해 우리는 이 시점에서 무엇을 어떻게 다져나가야 할 것인가? 이번 전자전을 직접 주관했던 한국정밀기계센터 이사장 이춘화씨는 우리나라 전자공업계가 지향할 길을 다음과 같이 제시했다.

  • This study presents development of a automatic design software for process and die design of hot extrusion of aluminium alloys through square dies. The design of extrusion dies is still an art rather than a science with increasing complexity of shape and thinness of section. Therefore, most of the die design is still dependent on personal judgement, intuition and experience. The objective of this study is to develop a software system which includes a design rule extracted from literatures and experts in the extrusion industry. The developed system is effectively used to design extrusion processes and dies with reduced lead time and trial extrusion.

  • This study is concerned about the design and development of three dimensional bending machine. The purpose of this study is design and development of three-dimensional bending machine by analysis of bending process and structural analysis simulation. The analysis is carried out by FEM simulation using DEFORM and CATIA V5 software. Based on this study, the three dimensional bending machine was developed. In order to evaluate a performance and reliability of the developed three dimensional bending machine, we used laser interferometer and three axial measuring system.

  • Recently, Difficult-to-cut materials are used in many manufacturing industry. But the difficult-to-cut materials are difficult-to-cutting process. So difficult to cut material cutting process was used after heat treatment through preheating for easy cutting process. In this study, Inconel 625 was preheating using laser heat source in computer simulation. Laser heat source temperature applied $1290^{\circ}C$ that suitable preheating temperature for Inconel 625. And temperature effects such as temperature distribution for moving heat source studied apply to similar actual process condition. Simulation results for heat treatment effects through temperature distribution verified.

  • In the recent field of 5-axis machine tools, it is necessary to improve machining ability. The tilting index table is a key unit in order to manufacture some non-rotational and 3-dimensional parts by using conventional machining centers. In this study, the structural analysis of a tilting index table is carried out and the displacement and distribution of stress in the tilting index table is analysed to design the table safely. The modal analysis is performed in order to confirm the frequency response about the vibration having a large effect on the machine tools. The dynamic analysis is performed in order to confirm the rigidity, and the structural stability has been verified.

고 정밀 캠 프로파일 CNC 연삭기용 CAD/CAM 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of CAD/CAM System for High Precision Cam Profile CNC Grinding Machine)

  • Cam mechanisms are one of the most popular devices for generating irregular motion and are widely used in many automatic equipments, such as textile machinery, internal combustion engines and other automatic devices. In order to obtain the positive motion of follower by rotating cam, its shape should be correctly designed and manufactured. In present paper, a CAD/CAM system is developed for shape design of disk cams using relative velocity method and NC code generation using the biarc curve interpolation. And, a disk cam is successfully manufactured by the developed CAD/CAM system. Thus, it is shown that the developed CAD/CAM system can be used for high precision cam profile CNC grinding machine.

롤러기어캠의 모델링에 관한 연구 (A Study on the modeling of roller gear cam)

  • In this paper, we developed an automated program for the modeling and simulation of three-dimensional roller gear cam mechanisms. The three-dimensional modeling for a roller-gear cam employs coordinate transformations based on the con-tact condition. the wire frame modeling followed by the shading technique using triangular meshing elements incorporat-ed the to reduce the number of data and computational load. Computer simulations for two kinds of products for rollger-gear cam mechansim illustrate the relative motion between the modeled roller-gear cam and a turret and thus show the effectiveness of the proposed modeling.
