An Efficient Post-Quantum Signature Scheme Based on Multivariate-Quadratic Equations with Shorter Secret Keys (양자컴퓨터에 안전한 짧은 비밀키를 갖는 효율적인 다변수 이차식 기반 전자서명 알고리즘 설계)

  • Multivariate quadratic equations (MQ)-based public-key cryptographic algorithms are one of promising post-quantumreplacements for currently used public-key cryptography. After selecting to NIST Post-Quantum Cryptography StandardizationRound 3 as one of digital signature finalists, Rainbow was cryptanalyzed by advanced algebraic attacks due to its multiple layered structure. The researches on MQ-based schemes are focusing on UOV with a single layer. In this paper, we propose a new MQ-signature scheme based on UOV using the combinations of the special structure of linear equations, spare polynomials and random polynomials to reduce the secret key size. Our scheme uses the block inversion method using half-sized blockmatrices to improve signing performance. We then provide security analysis, suggest secure parameters at three security levels and investigate their key sizes and signature sizes. Our scheme has the shortest signature length among post-quantumsignature schemes based on other hard problems and its secret key size is reduced by up to 97% compared to UOV.

Helping Professional's Trauma Work-related Stresses : Do Secondary Traumatic Stress and Burnout differ? (외상피해원조실무자의 이차적 외상스트레스와 소진은 서로 다른가?)

  • The aim of the present study was to determine whether secondary traumatic stress and burnout of CPS workers in Korea differ, being significantly affected by different variables of each own. A two-way MANCOVA was conducted to determine the effect of trauma exposure and work-condition satisfaction on secondary traumatic stress(intrusion and avoidance) and burnout(emotional deprivation, depersonalization, personal achievement) while controlling for gender, age, and personal trauma history. Exposure to clients' traumatic material did not affect secondary traumatic stress and burnout either. Rather, it was found that both of secondary traumatic stress and burnout was significantly affected by the same independent variables(level of exposure to being threatened by violent abusers of victims and the level of workers' satisfaction of work conditions in workplace). Therefore, it was difficult to address that secondary traumatic stress and burnout have a completely different construct.

Performance Analysis and Evaluation of Mean Value-based Power Allocation in Spectrum Sharing Systems with Interference from the Primary Transmitter (주파수 공유 시스템에서 일차 사용자에 의한 간섭이 존재할 때 채널 평균값 기반 전력 할당 기법의 성능 분석 및 평가)

  • In this paper, when interference caused by the primary user exists, the capacity performance of the mean value-based power allocation scheme is analyzed and evaluated under the outdated channel environment in spectrum sharing systems. When interference due to the primary transmitter affects the secondary receiver, we derive the upper bound of the ergodic capacity of the mean value-based power allocation scheme in a closed form. Furthermore, based on that, we investigate how interference due to the primary transmitter degrades the ergodic capacity of the secondary user. In simulation results, we show the performance degradation of the secondary user due to interference caused by the primary user. In addition, we show that the region where the mean value-based power allocation scheme outperforms the outdated channel information-based power allocation scheme is reduced as interference by the primary user increases.

Security Analysis on Multivariate Quadratic Based Digital Signatures Using Sparse Matrices (Sparse 구조의 다변수 이차식 기반 서명에 대한 안전성 분석)

  • Multivariate Quadratic (MQ)-based digital signature schemes have advantages such as ease of implementation and small signature sizes, making them promising candidates for post-quantum cryptography. To enhance the efficiency of such MQ-based digital signature schemes, utilizing sparse matrices have been proposed, including HiMQ, which has been standardized by Korean Telecommunications Technology Association standard. However, HiMQ shares a similar key structure with Rainbow, which is a representative MQ-based digital signature scheme and was broken by the MinRank attack proposed in 2022. While HiMQ was standardized by a TTA and recommended parameters were provided, these parameters were based on cryptanalysis as of 2020, without considering recent attacks. In this paper, we examine attacks applicable to MQ-based digital signatures, specifically targeting HiMQ, and perform a security analysis. The most effective attack against HiMQ is the combined attack, an improved version of the MinRank attack proposed in 2022, and none of the three recommended parameters satisfy the desired security strength. Furthermore, HiMQ-128 and HiMQ-160 do not meet the minimum security strength requirement of 128-bit security level.

  • 하천의 사행 및 합류 형상은 복잡한 나선 흐름을 발생시킨다. 그 중 이차류는 사행에 의한 편수위 형성과 횡단 압력의 불균형, 그리고 수심에 따라서 변화하는 원심력에 의하여 형성된다. 이러한 흐름은 주로 3차원 모형으로 재현할 수 있으며 이에 관련된 연구는 계속 이루어졌으나 3차원 모형의 구성과 사용에는 상당한 시간 및 노력이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 이차류의 영향을 수심적분된 2차원 모형으로 구현하고자 하였으며 이를 위해 이차류 연직 분포에 대한 기존 연구를 확인하고, 이러한 연직 분포를 표현할 수 있는 경험식을 3차원 모형인 FLOW3D를 통해 모의하고 개발하였다. 3차원 모형을 다양한 사행반경을 갖는 실험 사행수로에 적용하여 사행도에 따른 민감도를 분석하고 경험식을 개발하였다. 개발된 식은 2차원 수리해석 모형인 RAMS(River Analysis and Modeling System)에 적용되었다. RAMS는 수심 적분된 2차원 천수 방정식을 지배방정식으로 사용하는 수리해석모형인 HDM-2D를 해석엔진으로 사용하며, 이차류의 영향을 반영하기 위하여 개발한 수직분포 경험식을 분산 응력항 형태로 적용하였다. 모형의 적용성 확인을 위하여 사행 실험수로 및 합류수로에 모의를 수행하였다. 사행수로 및 합류수로는 실험 경계조건과 동일한 상류 입력 유량과 하류 경계조건을 사용하여 결과를 비교하였다. 사행수로 모의 결과 유속분포의 거동이 실험수로의 사행으로 인하여 2차류 효과로 주 흐름이 바깥쪽으로 기울어짐을 일부 재현하였다. 합류수로의 경우 기존 모형에 비하여 분산 응력항이 포함된 본 모형이 실측값에 근접하였는데 이는 이차류가 발생하는 영향으로 하류에 유속편차가 줄어드는 영향을 더 정확히 묘사한 것으로 판단된다.

Flow Structure and Turbulence Characteristics in Meandering Channel (사행수로의 흐름구조 및 난류특성)

  • In order to investigate characteristics of the primary flow and the secondary currents in meandering channels, the laboratory experiments were conducted in S-curved channels with angle of bend, $150^{\circ}$, and sinuosity of 1.52. The experimental conditions was decided varying average depth and velocity. Under these experimental conditions, spatial variations of the secondary currents in multiple bends were observed. The experimental results revealed that the distribution of primary flow in straight section is symmetric without respect to the experimental condition and the maximum velocity line of the primary flow occurs along the shortest path in experimental channel, supporting the result of previous works. The secondary currents in second bend became more developed than those in first bend. Particularly, the outer bank cell developed distinctively and the secondary current intensity was low at the straight section and high at the bends, periodically. Also, the secondary current intensity at the bends was as twice to three times as that at the straight section, and has its maximum value at the second bend. The turbulent flow characteristics of meandering channel was investigated with turbulent intensity of the primary flow and Reynolds shear stress. It was observed that the turbulent intensity is increasing when the velocity deviation of the primary flow is large whereas Reynolds shear stress increases when both the velocity deviation of the primary flow and the secondary current are large.

  • In GARCH context, the conditional variance (or volatility) is of a quadratic function of the observation process. Examine standard ARCH/GARCH and their variant models in terms of quadratic formulations and it is interesting to note that most models in GARCH context have contained neither the first order term nor the interaction term. In this paper, we consider three models possessing the first order and/or interaction terms in the formulation of conditional variances, viz., quadratic GARCH, absolute value GARCH and bilinear GARCH processes. These models are investigated with a view to model comparisons and applications to financial time series in Korea

An Experimental Study for Secondary Currents in Open-channel Flows over Submerged Vegetation (침수식생 개수로의 이차흐름에 대한 실험연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 곧은 식생과 유연한 식생 및 다양한 수심비를 갖는 개수로 흐름 조건에 대한 수리실험을 실시하였다. 레이저 도플러 유속계를 이용하여 수로 전체 단면의 유속을 측정함으로써, 이차흐름이 평균유속 및 난류량에 미치는 영향을 분석할 수 있도록 하였다. 평균유속의 경우, 수치모의결과와 동일하게 측벽근처에서 최대 유속이 발생하였다. 유속측정자료를 이용하여 침수식생 개수로 흐름의 벡터도를 살펴본 결과, 침수식생 개수로의 경우 일반 개수로 흐름과는 달리 바닥 와 (bottom vortex)가 측벽 근처에서 매우 활발한 것으로 나타났으며, 이로 인해 수로 중앙의 높은 운동량을 가진 유체가 측벽방향으로 이동하고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 측벽에서 이차흐름으로 인해 발생하는 강한 하강류가 레이놀즈응력 및 난류 강도의 수직방향 분포 형태에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다.
