In this paper, we propose the Group Separation Algorithm for RFID Tag Anti-Collision. We study the RFID Tag anti-collision technique of ALOHA and the anti-collision algorithm of binary search. The existing technique is several problems; the transmitted data rate included of data, the recognition time and energy efficiency. For distinction of all tags, the Group Separation algorithm identify each Tag_ID bit#s sum of bit #1#. In other words, Group Separation algorithm had standard of selection by collision table, the algorithm can reduce unnecessary number of search even than the exisiting algorithm. The Group Separation algorithm had performance test that criterions were reader#s number of repetition and number of transmitted bits for understanding tag. We showed the good performance of Group Separation algorithm better than exisiting algorithm.

JVET (Joint Video Exploration Team) which explored evolving technologies of video coding with capabilities beyond HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding), released a references software codec named the Joint Exploration Model (JEM) for performance verification of coding technologies. JEM has 67 intra prediction modes that extend the 35 modes of HEVC for intra prediction. Therefore, the enhancement of the coding performance is limited due to the overhead of prediction mode coding. In this paper, we analyze the probabilities of prediction modes selections, and then we propose a more efficient intra prediction mode coding based on the results of analyzed mode occurrence. In addition, we propose a context modeling for CABAC (Context-Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding) of the proposed mode coding. Experimental results show that the BD-rate gain is 0.02% on the AI (All Intra) coding structure compared to JEM 7.0. We need to optimize context modeling for additional coding performance enhancement.

This study was to examine Kwa-Jung-ryu, a traditional Korean confectionery, made by head families. We examined the materials and recipes of Kwa-Jung-ryu, which were classified into Yumilgwa, Yugwa, Jeonggwa, Dasikgwa, Yeot-Gangjeong, Dang (Yeot), and others. There were 13 head families that introduced Kwa-Jung-ryu, two each from Gyeonggi-do, Jeolla-do, and Chuncheong-do, and seven from Gyeongsang-do. There are 33 types of Kwa-Jung-ryu, which averages to about 2.5 types per family. But the Pungsan Ryu, Yeoju Lee, and Andong Kwon families introduced the most Kwa-Jung-ryu with 5 types each. The most popular types of Kwa-Jung-ryu were Yumilgwa, introduced by 7 families (Yakgwa by 6 and Maejakgwa by 1), then Jeonggwa by 6 families (Jeonggwa by 3, Pyeon-gang by 1, and Jeonggwa and Pyeon-gang by 2), and Dasikgwa and other Kwa-Jung-ryu by 5 families (Gotgam-mari by 4 and Seopsansam by 1). Classifying Kwa-Jung-ryu by recipe, the most frequently introduced were 8 types of Jeonggwa-ryu, 7 types of Yumilgwa, 5 types of Dasikgwa, 3 types of Yeot-Gangjeong and Dang (Yeot), and 2 types of Yugwa.
The purpose of this study is to build user's psychological response process model on design evaluation. Users firstly evaluate design factors such as form, structure, texture and colors which are basic elements of product design. These factors, however are affected by product's situational factors, user's individual factors and environmental factors. That is, even same design can be evaluated differently by users according to product's situational factors such as price level, brand prestige level and marketing programs, and user's individual factors such as tastes, involvement level, personality, lifestyles and demographics, and environmental factors such as culture, sub-culture, social class, reference group and family and so on. Understanding how users evaluate product design is necessary to increase the possibility to create user-preferring design and also is the starting point of user-based design and design marketing. In the future researches, it is necessary to examine more factors which are not included in the study and to find out the relationship between factors affecting user's evaluation on design and user's psychological response.
A boundary sequence can be a good representation of arbitrary shapes, because it can represent them simply and precisely. However, boundary sequences have not been used as a representation of arbitrary shapes, because the pixel-based shape-features such as area, centroid, orientation, projection and so forth, could not be computed directly from them. In this paper, we show that the shape-features can be easily computed from the boundary sequences by introducing the cross-sections that are defined as vertical (or horizontal) line segments in a shape. A cross-section generation method is proposed, which generates cross-sections of the shape efficiently by tracing the boundary sequence of the shape once. Furthermore, a boundary sequence extraction method is also proposed, which generates a boundary sequence for each shape in a binary image automatically The proposed methods work well even if a shape has holes. Eventually, we show that a boundary sequence can be used effectively for representing arbitrary shapes.
The screening of anti-cancer activity for the MeOH extracts of 163 natural sources, which were registered as edible plants by Korea Food & Drug Administration, exhibited 9 extracts to have significant inhibitory effects on farnesyl-protein transferase (FPTase) and phosphatase of regenerating liver-3 (PRL-3). In order to confirm the inhibitory activity of these active extracts, the activity assay was repeated for some fractions obtained from the active extracts using Medium Pressure Liquid Chromatography (MPLC). Some fractions of Carya illinoensis, Chlorella vulgaris, Panicum miliaceum, Perilla frutescens, Rosmarinus officinalis showed over 50% inhibitory activity on FPTase as well as those of Capsella bursa-pastoris, C. illinoensis, C. vulgaris, Coix lacrymajobi, Myristica fragrans, P. miliaceum, R. officinalis did over 50% inhibitory activity on PRL-3.
This research suggests the direction realizing design business which means that designers overcome traditional role of passive design development and pursue active and subjective design development and eventually accomplish high profit by various sources except design development fee. For this, designers should be able to suggest highly successful design alternatives not by performing subjective aesthetic process but objective and scientific design development process through market-oriented information seeking, scientific design development and effective design management etc. In addition, designers should cultivates design business mind maximizing profit by various sources such as royalty, management fee and commission fee through exercising ownership, or participating distribution process and for outsourcing tasks. Regarding companies' side, they need to overcome existing manufacturing-based business paradigm focusing on rather material development, R&D, facility establishment than design or marketing, and to build design-centered business management system which menas the prior investment in design including needs identification of consumers.
This paper presents a study on the optimization for brokering between cargos and ships for future e-logistics. The primary contribution of this research is that we establish an optimization model by formalizing the criteria for the brokering such as time constraints, weight constraints, and preference values between cargos and ships. Another important contribution is that we not only investigate the complexity and the tractability of the optimal brokering problem but present how to evaluate the performance of the optimization program through an experiment. We first derive the preference values between cargos and ships using the time and the weight constraints. These preference values between each pair of cargos and ships are assigned to corresponding binary decision variables as coefficients in the objective function. The optimization model selects pairs of cargos and ships in a way that the sum of the preference values is maximized while satisfying given constraints. Experiment shows that the Davis-Putnam based optimization program finds optimal solutions in reasonable time for the problems with less than 90 decision variables.
Intensive works have been carried out to develop more efficient solid catalysts for biodiesel production from various feedstocks including refined oils and waste fats. Among many catalysts, metal oxides and ion exchange resins are the most intensively studied ones. With regard to metal oxide catalysts, major research activities have focused on the identification of the active compounds and their immobilizing methods on the supports. As metal oxide catalysts have strong thermal stability, they may be used in simultaneous transesterification and esterification of waste fats. However, ion exchange resin catalysts were mainly applied in the esterification of the free fatty acids in waste fats because of their lower thermal stability. For both solid catalysts, further works are needed to make them to be used in commercial process. Especially fast deactivation of the solid catalyst would be the most challenging problem.
