  • 본 논문은 초정밀 가공기에 적용 가능한 6자유도의 운동이 가능한 초정밀 스테이지의 설계를 기술한다. 본 초정밀 스테이지는 특히, 광학을 이용한 가공기와 절삭력이 작은 가공기에 적합하다. 스테이지는 장행정 · 단행정 스테이지로 구성된 이중 서보를 채택한다 장행정 스테이지는 초정밀 운동에 방해가 되는 운동을 줄이며 높은 효율을 갖는 다극 자석 배열을 이용한 선형모터를 사용한다. 그리고 단행정 스테이지는 장행정 스테이지와의 기계적 결합에 의한 구조적 영향성을 없애는 개념을 적용할 수 있는 보이스 코일 모터을 이용한다. 그리고 각 구동부는 최상의 성능을 유지할 수 있도록 최적설계를 수행한다.

Design of PFM Boost Converter with Dual Pulse Width Control (이중 펄스 폭을 적용한 PFM 부스트 변환기 설계)

  • This paper proposed a PFM(pulse-frequency modulator) boost converter which has dual pulse-width. The PFM boost converter is composed of BGR(band gap voltage reference generating circuit), voltage reference generating circuit, soft-start circuit, error amplifier, high-speed comparator, inductor current sensing circuit and pulse-width generator. Converter has different inductor peak current so it has wider load current range and smaller output voltage ripple. Proposed PFM boost converter generates 18V output voltage with input voltage of 3.7V and it has load current range of 0.1~300mA. Simulation results show 0.43% output voltage ripple at ligh load mode and 0.79% output voltage ripple at heavy load mode. Converter has efficiency 85% at light lode mode and it has maximum 86.4% at 20mA load current.

  • Nowadays, the improvement and development of Multi-media and information & communication technology is rapidly processed. They need large data storage capacity. So that, many studies and researches in data storage have been carried out. According to them, the data storage capacity has been increased. But the limitation of storage capacity is happened for several problems. One of them is spot & pit size in optical and magnetic data storage and another is the resolution of actuators. The problems in spot & pit size are covered by new data storage methods-- for examples, AFM(Atomic Force Microscopy), MO(Magneto-optical) system, and NFR(Near-Field decoding) system etc. But the resolution limit of an actuator was not developed and doesn\`t follow up the development of spot & pit size. Because of them, we should improve a resolution of an actuator. Especially, in this paper an actuator if studied and designed for NFR (in using SIL(Solid Immersion Lens) system. It is a dual stage actuator, which consists of a Fine actuator and a Coarse actuator. and should desire 100nm accuracy. Its actuating force generation method is VCM(Voice Coil Motor). The Fine actuator is composed of 4-leaf springs and a bobbin wrapped by coil. The Coarse actuator has Coils and 3-Roller bearings. Also, The Characteristics of designed actuator for NFR system is estimated by Sine-Swept mode and LDV(Laser Doppler Vibro-meter).

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트폰과 같은 모바일 단말기 자체에서 동작하는 경량화된 영한 하이브리드 모바일 번역 엔진을 설계 및 구현하였다. 번역 엔진은 자연스러운 번역과 높은 번역 품질을 위해 번역 메모리(Translation Memory)와 규칙기반의 번역 엔진으로 이중화를 하였다. PC에 비해 하드웨어 제약이 심한 스마트폰 자체에서 구동이 원활하도록 주메모리의 사용을 줄이고 분석 시간 단축을 위하여 핵심 번역 엔진을 포함한 번역 지식 DB가 외장메모리에서 구동되도록 하였다. 실험결과 번역 품질은 BLEU와 NIST 평가치를 기준으로 서버 기반의 구글번역기 대비 70.0%로 사용자의 의미전달이 가능한 실용적인 수준으로 평가되었다.

  • 로켓 엔진용 짐벌 마운트는 발사체 발사 후 자세 제어를 위해 발사체와 엔진사이에 장착된 TVC(Thrust Vector Control) 구동기의 작동으로 짐벌 운동을 수행하며 기구학적으로 자세 제어를 하는데 있어 매우 중요한 역할을 하는 요소이다. 이러한 짐벌 마운트는 엔진 추력을 발사체에 전달하는 기능 이외에 지정된 위치에 엔진을 고정시키는 역할과 위치 고정 후 발사체 단과 엔진의 정확한 추력 전달을 위한 기계적 불일치 보정 기능, 짐벌 구동에 대한 피봇 기능을 동시에 수행하여야 하는 복합적인 기능을 가지고 있다. 특히, 이중에서도 물리적으로 고 추력의 하중을 전달하는 요소로서 충분한 강도와 강성을 지녀야 하므로 본 연구에서는 이와 관련된 초기 설계 요구도 분석을 바탕으로 설계 규격에 부합하는 짐벌 마운트의 구조적 검토를 통해 로켓 엔진용 짐벌 마운트 설계 형상을 개념적으로 제시하였다.

A Study on the Torque Control Method of a Hydraulic Actuation System for Measuring the Dynamic Stiffness of Missile Fin Actuators (유도무기용 날개구동기의 동적 강성 측정을 위한 유압 구동장치의 토크제어 기법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a torque control method of a hydraulic actuation system for measuring the dynamic stiffness of missile fin actuators. We propose a new control technique called Dual Dynamic Torque Feedback Control(DDTFC), which improves the stability of the torque control system and enables fast tracking of torque command. The developed control scheme is derived from the physical understanding based on mathematical modelling and analysis. The dynamics of hydraulic torque control servo-system is unravelled via physics-based modelling and nonparametric system identification. In order to verify the effectiveness of the method, the experiment is carried out with a test equipment for measuring the dynamic stiffness. The experiment and simulation results show that DDTFC gives stability improvement.

  • We propose a 2.4-GHz CMOS power amplifier (PA) with a bypass structure to improve the power-added efficiency (PAE) in the low-power region. The primary winding of the output transformer is split into two parts. One of the primary windings is connected to the output of the power stage for high-power mode. The other primary winding is connected to the output of the driver stage for low-power mode. Operation of the high power mode is similar to conventional PAs. On the other hand, the output power of the driver stage becomes the output power of the overall PA in the low power mode. Owing to a turning-off of the power stage, the power consumption is decreased in low-power mode. We designed the CMOS PA using a 180-nm RFCMOS process. The measured maximum output power is 27.78 dBm with a PAE of 20.5%. At a measured output power of 16 dBm, the PAE is improved from 2.5% to 12.7%.

Control-performance Improvement of Dual EHAs (이중 EHA의 제어 특성 개선)

  • For this paper, the position-control performances of dual EHA(electro-hydrostatic actuator) systems were investigated according to two cases wherein the double-rod- and single-rod-type hydraulic cylinders were combined. Since the control performance is significantly dependent on the load conditions including external forces such as the inertia load, it is proposed here that the two sub-EHAs are driven by separate position and force controllers, instead of two identical position controllers. According to the simulation results, the best performance was achieved by the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA that was combined with a force-controlled double-rod-type EHA. As the force-controlled double-rod-type EHA compensated for the external loads on the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA, the position-control performance was not influenced by external forces including the inertia load. In addition, the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA contributed to the enhancement of the damping ratio by absorbing the pressure peaks through its internal accumulator. Due to the symmetrical piston areas, the double-rod-type EHA is more suitable for force control than the single-rod- type EHA.

  • For a precise position control with the resolution of a micrometer, a dual servo system is constructed using a linear motor and a piezoelectric actuator. The switching mode dual servo algorithm is implemented on a DSP board in which A/D and D/A converters are also mounted. It is shown by the experimental results that the precise position control is performed within a few micrometer of position error by using the dual servo system.

  • Compressors in Large Multi-room air conditioning system are often driven by gas heat pumps. The advantages of GHP are their high level of heating performance and low cost because they use the LNG fuel to drive engine. We developed engine control system. The developed system controls engine speed based on proportional, integral and derivative (PID) method. This controller is designed to eliminate the need for continuous operator attention on engine revolution control. The control system includes 4 spark coil drivers, fuel drivers and relay drivers to make engine's operating more stable. The experiments of control engine revolution of this system are based on the various load conditions.
