A Study about The Hot-Swap Function for Prevention of Trouble in PLC Power Supplies (PLC 전원공급장치의 고장 방지를 위한 HOT-SWAP 기술에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper PLC Power Circuit with Hot-Swap Function is proposed for stable power supplies. The power modules of the proposed devices are implemented by CRM flyback converter using new synchronous rectifier circuit for high efficiency. By a variable switching frequency controller, this converter is operated with a reduced turn-on switching loss. Also, the load current in these power modules are shared by auto master / slave method using Outer loop. The proposed devices are analyzed in detail and optimized for high performance. Experimental results for a 100W power module at the variable switching frequency of 30$^{\sim}$70kHz were obtained to show the performance of the proposed device.

  • 본 논문에서는 노이즈를 고려한 PLL를 설계하였다. 30Mhz∼300Mhz으로 동작하는 VCO를 설계하였다. VCO를 평균 250Mhz으로 동작하도록 하고 reference 주파수, 62.5Mhz로 locking하는 PLL를 설계를 하였다. 300Mhz PLL의 기본적인 구조로 PLL은 PFD(Phase frequency detector), CP(Charge Pump), LF(Loop filter), VCO(Voltage controlled Oscillator)와 Divider로 구성되었다. PFD과 CP는 Dead Zone를 줄이고, 큰 gm를 가지도록 설계를 하였다. PLL에서 가장 중요한 블락인, VCO는 One Chip으로 설계하기 위해 Ring Oscillator로 설계를 하였다. 2.5V 62.5MHZ의 외부 신호를 300MHZ을 발진하는 VCO에서 분주하여 clock synthesizer를 설계하였다. 본 논문은 Hynix0.25공정을 사용하여 설계를 하였으며, 2.5V의 공급 전원을 사용하였다.

  • The effect of power supply voltage on the performance limits in a laboratory Magneto-rheological fluid based device was identified by experiments. It suggests that the frequency range of motion for control be limited by the voltage attenuation due to the coil inductance and the maximum power supply voltage set for practical use of MRF devices. In this work, the magnetic and electrical characteristics of MRF device are investigated and a design procedure is formulated to achieve the desired performance for a given power supply.

  • In this paper, a novel control scheme compensating for source voltage unbalance and current harmonics and power factor simultaneously in unified active power filter systems combined with shunt passive filters is proposed, where no low/high-pass filter are used in deriving the reference voltage for compensation. Using digital all-pass filters, the phase angle and the reference voltages compensating for harmonic current and unbalanced voltage are derived from the positive sequence component of the unbalanced voltage. The amplitude of d-axis current in a series filter is controlled as zero for power factor correction. The validity of the proposed control scheme has been verified by experimental results.

  • 전력공급의 신뢰도가 중요한 고도의 산업화 사회에서 안정적인 전력공급을 위한 비상전원 시스템의 이용은 필수적이며 이들을 위한 에너지 저장장치로서 축전지가 주류를 이루고 있다. 그러나 축전지는 비선형적인 특성으로 인해 그 상태를 정확히 예측하기 어려워 함께 사용되는 설비의 신뢰성을 저하시키는 문제를 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 AC 임피던스법을 이용하여 배터리의 이상 유무를 감시할 수 있는 모니터링 장치의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어를 설계하고 실증하였다. 또한, 배터리의 상태를 진단할 수 있는 알고리즘을 적용하였으며, CAN 통신을 통하여 원격으로 다수의 배터리를 실시간으로 감시할 수 있는 소프트웨어도 개발하였다.

  • 현재 대용량의 태양광 발전에 사용되는 정격용량은 250kW급에 이르고 있는데, 단일 인버터로 구성되어 있지 않고 컨버터를 사용하여 구성하는 경우 단일용량으로 컨버터 250kW급을 구현하는 것은 현실적으로 정격 소자, 수동소자와 시스템의 효율 등의 문제로 인하여 그 구현에 현실적인 한계가 있다. 따라서 규격화 된 용량의 단일 전원장치를 병렬 운전함으로써 이와 같은 문제점을 해결할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 CAN 통신을 이용하여 250kW PV PCS에 적용한 DC/DC 컨버터 4대의 병렬운전 기법을 제안하고 실험을 통해 그 우수성을 검증한다.

  • High-Smokestacks have been the symbol of the thermal power plant. Those cause the thermal power plant to be damaged by lightening for reaching several hundreds meter. In this paper, we investigated the accident of low-voltage source circuit due to grounding potential rise by lightening via high-smokestack in practically driving power plant, described examination into the cause and the impulse analysis. We analysed the transient voltage by EMTP(ElectroMagnetic Transient Program) via modeling the grounding system of power plant. This theoretical results coincided with practical accidental state. Therefore, it was verified that we could apply the grounding system of power plant and substation with the distribution-circuit analysis(EMTP).

  • The reduced power quality due to some of disturbances on power system has great influence on the efficient and life of load for bad with serious economic loss. The response of load about disturbance needs to analysis quantitatively in detail to improve load characteristics. In this research, a power supply device is developed to supply disturbed power similar to that of power system. The developed device can output a voltage and frequency from 180[V] to 240[V], 55[Hz] to 65[Hz] respectively. The most outstanding feature of this device is a function to be performed steady and dynamic state characteristic experiment on load or appliances. Also, this device is designed to include high accuracy ouput and simple measurement.

  • The non-uniform leaky wave structure of the slits in a parallel-plate waveguide is analyzed from the viewpoints of transmitting(receiving) leaky wave antenna and grating coupler. Period and slit width are simultaneously varied along the leaky wave structure to construct the leaky wave structure with a specific distribution of complex propagation constant. Some results for the equivalent magnetic current distributions over the slits and the radiation characteristics of the leaky wave structure with various source(equivalent magnetic current) distributions such as Gaussian, uniform, cosine, cosine-squared, and Taylor distributions are given and compared with each other.
