A Systematic Review on Concept-based Image Retrieval Research (체계적 분석 기법을 이용한 의미기반 이미지검색 분야 고찰에 관한 연구)

  • With the increased creation, distribution, and use of image in context of the development of digital technologies and internet, research endeavors have accumulated drastically. As two dominant aspects of image retrieval have been considered content-based and concept-based image retrieval, concept-based image retrieval has been focused in the field of Library and Information Science. This study aims to systematically review the accumulated research of image retrieval from the perspective of LIS field. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, two data sets were prepared: a total of 282 image retrieval research papers from Web of Science, and a total of 35 image retrieval research from DBpia in Kore for comparison. For data analysis, systematic review methodology was utilized with bibliographic analysis of individual research papers in the data sets. The findings of this study demonstrated that two sub-areas, image indexing and description and image needs and image behavior, were dominant. Among these sub-areas, the results indicated that there were emerging areas such as collective indexing, image retrieval in terms of multi-language and multi-culture environments, and affective indexing and use. For the user-centered image retrieval research, college and graduate students were found prominent user groups for research while specific user groups such as medical/health related users, artists, and museum users were found considerably. With the comparison with the distribution of sub-areas of image retrieval research in Korea, considerable similarities were found. The findings of this study expect to guide research directions and agenda for future.

Comparing the Service Coverages of Subways and Buses and Estimating the Walking Distances of Their Users (지하철과 버스의 서비스권역 비교 및 이용자들의 도보거리 추정 - 부산시를 중심으로 -)

  • The light rail transit (LRT) having bus lines as subsystem is being constructed or planned in the suburban area of metropolitans and medium size cities. However, there is difficulty in establishing the service coverage (SC) of the LRT because the LRT is a completely new transit mode in Korea. The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data and techniques to be used for establishing the SC of the future LRT by understanding the SC characteristics of buses and subways and building models to estimate the walking distances of their users. Busan City is selected as the study city and the SC's of buses and subways are surveyed simultaneously. A total of 9 variables for 82 stations are collected and the cluster analysis is conducted about the variables. The station areas are divided to three types of CBD (Central Business District), sub-CBD and regional center based on the analysis. A station in each area is selected as the study station. At the walking distance (WD) analysis for each mode, the 80 percentile WD of the subway is 672 m and that of the bus is 472 m. In comparing the SC's of both modes by the type of station areas, there are not significant differences between the SC's of sub-CBD and regional center except CBD. At analysis of the relationship between the personal attributes and the WD, for subway users the WD of female is longer than that of male and apartment residents use subway more positively than single house residents do. For the models to estimate the walking distances, the simple regression models were built employing the income as independent variable by dividing the stations into CBD abd non-CBD stations.

Comparison between Cournot-Nash and Stackelberg Game in Bi-level Program (Bi-level program에서 Cournot-Nash게임과 Stackelberg게임의 비교연구)

  • This paper presents some comparisons between Cournot-Nash and Stackelberg game in bi-level program, composed of both upper level program and lower level one. The upper level can be formulated to optimize a specific objective function, while the lower formulated to express travelers' behavior patterns corresponding to the design parameter of upper level problem. This kind of hi-level program is to determine a design parameter, which leads the road network to an optimal state. Bi-level program includes traffic signal control, traffic information provision, congestion charge and new transportation mode introduction as well as road expansion. From the view point of game theory, many existing algorithms for bi-level program such as IOA (Iterative Optimization Assignment) or IEA (Iterative Estimation Assignment) belong to Cournot-Nash game. But sensitivity-based algorithms belongs to Stackelberg one because they consider the reaction of the lower level program. These two game models would be compared by using an example network and show some results that there is no superiority between the models in deterministic case, but in stochastic case Stackelberg approach is better than that of Cournot-Nash one as we expect.

Export Competitiveness of Busan Port: Market Comparative Advantage Index (시장비교우위지수를 이용한 부산항의 수출경쟁력 분석)

  • This paper is an attempt to analyze the comparative advantage of Busan Port to China. For this, we use the market comparative advantage index, which is a version of the revealed comparative advantage index. The market comparative advantage index (MCA) uses trade patterns to identify the sectors in which a region has a comparative advantage, in this case by comparing Busan Port's trade profile with the world average (China). The indices are calculated at the commodity level of the HS four-digit classification. The export data used in this study are obtained from the Korea International Trade Association. Exports to China accounted for almost one third of Korean exports in 2014. There are, however, structural differences among the main export items of Busan Port. This paper, therefore, employs MCA indices to reveal the behaviors of the ten main export items, which are "HS3920-other plates/sheets/film/foil of plastics," "HS7606-aluminum plates/sheets/strip," "HS8479-unspecified machines/medical appliances," "HS8486-machines for semiconductor devices or wafers," "HS8529-parts for transmission apparatus for television," "HS8703-motor vehicles for the transport of persons," "HS8708-parts of motor vehicles," "HS9001-optical fibers," and "HS9013-liquid crystal devices." The study shows that export competitiveness of nine items increases, the exception being HS8703. However, China's import ratios of seven of the nine items for which the MCA indices go up are on the decrease, which means that it would be hard to expand the export market for these seven items, despite the higher MCA indices. Since the shares of the port's total exports to China of HS3907, HS8486, HS8529, HS9001, and HS9013 in total exports to China increase together with China's import ratio decreasing, these items may have promising export markets. MCA increases of HS7606 and HS8479 are attributable to China's lower import ratio, rather than a higher export share, so higher MCA indices do not guarantee higher export competitiveness for these items.

  • The rapid increase of Passenger cars which is caused by the discomfort of Public transit and the Preference of automobiles is the major factor of increasing traffic congestions in Seoul With the point that leading the automobilists to the Public transit can be the most important Policy to ease these traffic congestions, this study focuses on the behavioral aspects of company employees and university students and investigates factors influencing bus ridership. To be brief, by estimating bus ridership through count models, this study investigates factors which influence bus ridership and elicits Political suggestions which lead automobilists to Public transit. The Purpose in this study is the application of appropriate count data model. The count data models have been widely applied to the economic area from the middle of the 1980s and to transportation aspect mainly in the foreign countries from the latter half of the 1980s. Even though a few studies in this country employed count data model to count data. all of them were Poisson regression models without suitable tests for the importance of the model specification. In the end, as the result of statistical test, negative binomial regression model which is suitable for overdispersed data was found to be appropriate for the data of weekly bus ridership. To emphasize the importance of model specification, both of poisson regression model and negative binomial regression model were estimated and the results were compared.

  • 수공구조물의 설계에 있어 가중 중요한 변수 중에 하나가 확률 강우량이다. 우리나라의 경우 매개변수적인 지점빈도해석을 통해 확률 강우량을 산정하고 있으나, 최근 들어 지점별 관측자료의 부족으로 인한 지역빈도해석을 수행하여 확률강우량을 산정하고 있는 실정이다. Index Flood 기법이나 L-moment 기법과 같은 기존의 지역빈도해석은 여러 관측 지점에서 관측된 강우자료를 이용하여 매년최대 시간강우량 자료를 추출하여 동질성 분석을 통해 이질성이 없는 것으로 분석된 연최대 강우량을 빈도해석 하여 확률 강우량을 결정한다. 그러나 이와 같은 지역빈도해석은 매개변수적 지점빈도해석과 마찬가지로 적합도 검정에 통과한 다수의 분포형이 선정되는 경우에 어떤 분포형을 사용하느냐 하는 문제점이 발생할 수 있다. 그리고 선정된 여러 강우 관측 지점의 연최대 강우량 자료에 모두 동일한 확률 분포형을 이용하므로 선정된 확률 분포형이 모든 지점의 강우 자료와 적합하지 못할 가능성을 내포하고 있으며, 또한 수문자료가 여러가지 요인으로 인하여 복합분포(mixed distribution)형태를 가질 때, 매개변수적 해석방법으로는 다중 첨두를 갖는 확률밀도함수를 해석하는데는 여러 가지 어려움이 따른다. 따라서 이러한 매개변수적 확률분포형을 이용한 빈도해석의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 비매개변수적 빈도해석이 하나의 대안으로 제시될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 강우자료의 선별을 통해 신뢰성 있는 자료를 구축하고, 기존의 매개변수를 갖는 확률 분포형을 이용한 지역빈도해석을 적용하여 확률 강우량을 산정하였다. 그리고 동질성분석을 통해 선정된 강우자료에 대해 비매개변수적 지역빈도해석을 적용하여 확률 강우량을 산정하고 각각의 방법에 대한 빈도해석 결과를 비교하여 확률강우량 해석에 있어 하나의 대안을 제시하고자 한다.X>${\mu}_{max,A}$는 최대암모니아 섭취률을 이용하여 구한 결과 $0.65d^{-1}$로 나타났다.EX>$60%{\sim}87%$가 수심 10m 이내에 분포하였고, 녹조강과 남조강이 우점하는 하절기에는 5m 이내에 주로 분포하였다. 취수탑 지점의 수심이 연중 $25{\sim}35m$를 유지하는 H호의 경우 간헐식 폭기장치를 가동하는 기간은 물론 그 외 기간에도 취수구의 심도를 표층 10m 이하로 유지 할 경우 전체 조류 유입량을 60% 이상 저감할 수 있을 것으로 조사되었다.심볼 및 색채 디자인 등의 작업이 수반되어야 하며, 이들을 고려한 인터넷용 GIS기본도를 신규 제작한다. 상습침수지구와 관련된 각종 GIS데이타와 각 기관이 보유하고 있는 공공정보 가운데 공간정보와 연계되어야 하는 자료를 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 단계별 구축전략이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 상습침수구역관련 정보를 검색, 처리 및 분석할 수 있는 상습침수 구역 종합정보화 시스템을 구축토록 하였다.N, 항목에서 보 상류가 높게 나타났으나, 철거되지 않은 검전보나 안양대교보에 비해 그 차이가 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다.의 기상변화가 자발성 기흉 발생에 영향을 미친다고 추론할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 추론된 기상변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전

  • The full grasp of recreation demand and factors affecting on recreation demand can be very important information for park planning and management. The object-tives of this study are to investigate factors affecting the fluctuation of urban park visitors and to analyze the relationship between these factors and the daily parti-cipations. The results were as follows; 1) The peak of monthly participations comes on May, April, August and October in order. And these months are specified as school picnic period and vacation of school children. 2) In correlation analysis, the variables such as ‘Day of a week(D)’, ‘Monthly mean temp.(T)’and ‘Monthly character(M)’have high correlations with ‘No. of visitors’in order. And it is better to categorize months by its charater(picnic period in school, vacation etc) than by seasons. 3) Candidate regression model were established, as for 1984 log U= 1.51 + 0.64D1 + 0.02T + 0.36W1 - 0.23M4 + 0.003SS + 0.24Ml($R^2$=0.5326) where, U=no. of daily visitors D1 = sunday.ho1iday(1), weekday(0) T=monthly mean temperature($^{\circ}C$) W1= weather (sunny.cloudy(1) , rainy (>5mm)(0)> M4=non vacations and non school picnic period(1) , if not (0) SS=monthly sunshining hours M1=summer vacation(1), if not(0) 4) The most important variable was ‘Day of a week’(sunday.holiday or not). And temperature, weather and monthly charcter(especially picnic period of school and vacation) were in turn, hence ‘Children's grand park’shows the use pattern of park.

Biosorption of Cadmium by a Methanotrophs Exopolysaccharide (메탄산화세균의 EPS를 이용한 Cd의 생물흡착)

  • 메탄을 탄소원 및 에너지원으로 이용하는 메탄산화균은 물질대사과정 중에 다량의 세포외 고분자물질인 Extracellular polymeric substances(EPS)를 생성하는데, EPS는 카르복실기와 같은 표면흡착 기능을 가지고 있어 생체흡착제로 사용이 가능하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 메탄산화세균을 이용하여 중금속인 Cd의 흡착성능을 파악하여 활성슬러지의 흡착능과 비교하고, EPS 농도별, pH별 흡착량의 변화를 실험한 후 Freundlich 흡착모델식에 적용하여 흡착공정의 기본적인 설계인자를 도출하고자 하였다. 실험에 사용한 메탄산화세균은 매립지 복토층 상부 토양에서 분리하여 실험실에서 대량으로 배양하였으며, EPS 생성을 위해 메탄을 Head space의 20%를 주입하고 $30^{\circ}C$, 150rpm에서 질소원이 부족한 조건으로 48hr 동안 배양하였다. Development of Free Flow Speed Estimation Model by Artificial Neural Networks for Freeway Basic Sections (인공신경망을 이용한 고속도로 기본구간 자유속도 추정모형개발)

  • In recent decades, microscopic simulation models have become powerful tools to analyze traffic flow on highways and to assist the investigation of level of service. The existing microscopic simulation models simulate an individual vehicle's speed based on a constant free-flow speed dominantly specified by users and driver's behavior models reflecting vehicle interactions, such as car following and lane changing. They set a single free-flow speed for a single vehicle on a given link and neglect to consider the effects of highway design elements to it in their internal simulation. Due to this, the existing models are limitted to provide with identical simulation results on both curved and tangent sections of highways. This paper presents a model developed to estimate the change of free-flow speeds based on highway design elements. Nine neural network models were trained based on the field data collected from seven different freeway curve sections and three different locations at each section to capture the percent changes of free-flow speeds: 100 m upstream of the point of curve (PC) and the middle of the curve. The model employing seven highway design elements as its input variables was selected as the best : radius of curve, length of curve, superelevation, the number of lanes, grade variations, and the approaching free-flow speed on 100 m upstream of PC. Tests showed that the free-flow speeds estimated by the proposed model were statistically identical to the ones from the field at 95% confidence level at each three different locations described above. The root mean square errors at the starting and the middle of curve section were 6.68 and 10.06, and the R-squares at these points were 0.77 and 0.65, respectively. It was concluded from the study that the proposed model would be one of the potential tools introducing the effects of highway design elements to free-flow speeds in simulation.

A Survey on the Visitor's Cognition of Admission fee in National Park - The Case Study of Songnisan National Park - (국립공원 입장료에 대한 이용객 의식 조사 - 속리산국립공원 이용객을 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey and analyze of the visitor's cognition of admission fee collection system in National Park. To accomplish the purposes, a questionnaire survey was employed in Songnisan National Park. The contents of questionnaire consist of the socioeconomic characteristics and the types of visiting, the activity, the cognition of admission fee collection system.339 samples of total 345 respondents were used for final analysis. As a result of the analysis, the socioeconomic characteristics and the types of visiting, the visiting purpose were showed similar trends with results from other National Park visitors survey. Most of respondents didn't recognize the raise of admission fee and how to use the admission fee. And they recognized that it is too expensive. Most of respondents recognized the joint collection of admission fee but they were strong against it. About the range of cultural assets in National Park, the cognition of 'Only Buddhism's assets in temple' was almost equal with the cognition of 'It includes not only cultural assets of inside and outside temple but also thick forest in National Park'. But most of respondents were strong against the collection of admission fee of cultural assets.
