The purpose of this study is to clarify the case and process of the application of the sign system in order to enable the user to reach the target site more efficiently in the library. For this purpose, a new sign system was applied to the S University library through procedures such as library structure, sign status, user observation, cyan production and preference survey. Detailed production process and user's reaction were identified. Based on this we suggested improvements to the library stacks signage system.

The purpose of this study is to present the design of search interface of mobile catalog of University libraries by identifying the current situation of search interface of mobile catalog of domestic and overseas academic libraries and users' preferences derived by survey, and reflecting the combined results. The investigation on current situation of search interface of mobile catalog of domestic University libraries was carried out by using checklist for functional assessment targeting 82 mobile catalogs. For overseas examples, contents and functional elements about 15 mobile catalog search interface of academic libraries in England and US were examined and analyzed. In addition, three domestic University libraries's mobile catalogs were selected as research targets and the survey was carried out to identify the situation of use of mobile catalog and preference on search interface.

This study empirically confirmed 'the political bias of the YouTube recommendation algorithm' and 'the selective exposure of user' to verify the Filter Bubble phenomenon of YouTube. For the experiment, two new YouTube accounts were opened and each account was trained simultaneously in a conservative and a liberal account for a week, and the "Recommended" videos were collected from each account every two days. Subsequently, through the text mining method, the goal of the research was to investigate whether conservative videos are more recommended in a righties account or lefties videos are more recommended in a lefties account. And then, this study examined if users who consumed political news videos via YouTube showed "selective exposure" received selected information according to their political orientation through a survey. As a result of the Text Mining, conservative videos are more recommended in the righties account, and liberal videos are more recommended in the lefties account. Additionally, most of the videos recommended in the righties/lefties account dealt with politically biased topics, and the topics covered in each account showed markedly definitive differences. And about 77% of the respondents showed selective exposure.

The goal of current study was to investigate the perception of emotional lighting according to the types of exercise participation of fitness center users. The subjects of this study were 292 people in Gyeongin area fitness center. As a survey tool, the color types used in the study of Oh & Kwak(2015) were used, and the color recognition was based on the emotional adjective scale used in Lee(1997). Data were analyzed using crossover, independent t-test and one-way ANOVA using SPSS23.0. The following conclusions can be drawn from the results of this study. First, emotional lighting color preference of fitness users varies according to Gender. Second, the difference of perception of color by emotional illumination of fitness users was found to be partially different in color and sex. Third, there was a difference in color recognition among emotional lighting color recognition according to exercise participation type of fitness users.

The purpose of this research is to examine and find solutions with garbage problems in movie theaters for the betterment of pleasant environment to customers. The object of investigation includes three most popular movie theaters in Seoul. Analyzing current status of separating garbage and guidance notice was carried out. Also investigation of awareness on separating garbage and guidance notice has been done. The findings on inquiry are as follows. Customers tend not to separate garbage and guidance notice was not as effective. Also, separate garbage collection was very ineffective especially the food garbage. We carried out investigation on placement of guidance notice regarding recycling bin. We tried to find solutions for this problem and proposed better design. This design is emphasized on the use of particular space only. In addition, this design is focused mainly on one the three movie theaters for integration of identity. Through this design, it ought to provide clean environment and reduces inefficiencies regarding financial and time.

This study is to find the new method for authority control in Korea by surveying status of authority control in university libraries and by analyzing international conceptual model of authority control and VIAF. 2 kinds of survey were done: one is for libraries having authority records and the other is for libraries not having authority records. In survey result, libraries that have authority records want to sustain their own forms of authorized access points and libraries that have no authority records want the rules related to authority and the national cooperative authority control system to be constructed. Based on ICP 2009, FRAD conceptual model, VIAF and this survey result, new authority control is to respect the diversity of forms of the authorized access points. New authority control is to permit authority records that reflect provision for linguistic or cultural environments of each library, confirming to the national cataloging code. Therefore, authorized access points will be displayed according to user preferred forms. For this new authority control, it is needed to make national authority rule, to build the authority records according to library's own rules, and to construct the cooperative authority control system. Also for user preferred authority control, it is needed to describe detailed elements for authority control and relation data between authorized access points, between authorized access points and variant forms. This study could contribute to suggest new authority control that could accept all kinds of authorized access points preferred by nation, libraries, and users.

This research aims at understanding the differences between expert and general users' perceptions regarding publication preferences for Korean classics collations and translations in order to formulate future directions for these materials. For this purpose, an overview of changes in publishing in general as well as current status of collation/translation of Korean classics in particular are being identified. An online questionnaire was carried out in order to collect data regarding perceptions and preferences of expert users and general users of Korean classics. The results are based on the analyses of more than 1,000 responses. The analyses show that electronic books will not completely replace printed books and publishing both electronic and printed books in tandem for the time being is most preferable in order to satisfy varying user needs. Statistical analysis shows differences in terms of use value, value from possession, and readability of electronic and printed books in the two groups of users. However, as for the value of preservation by relevant institutions, there was a statistical difference between two groups towards printed books unlike their electronic equivalents. The research shows strong preference towards printed forms of classics collations and translations for the purpose of scholarly research and translation. Actual usage statistics reveal much heavy use of online database of classics translations compared to the use of available electronic books. For future publishing decisions for classics collations and translations will need to take into consideration of their special characteristics and symbolic nature. Proper representation of these materials into electronic format would require a standardized platform that enable various uses in different environments.

This study generated the suggestions to minimize the duplicated cultural programs offered by various regional public service institutions via promoting effective collaboration among the institutions with the limited local resources while making the public libraries as the center of the partnership. We measured the level of program duplicability; conducted statistical analysis of the cultural program offering; and analyzed program participation status as well as the participation surveys. This led to the following results: 1) public libraries focused on offering humanities general education related programs; 2) participants had high expectations on the reading and writing programs; and 3) social welfare organizations offered programs, which targeted the older population, and the corresponding participants had high satisfaction rate. According to the results, the institutions including the public libraries should take into account of the ages and preferences of the potential participants when offering various programs. In addition, the public libraries should continue to offer humanities general education as well as information use programs.

This study was carried out aiming to provide information and enhance the satisfaction of real-time smartphones users on Rural Amenity Resources Information Services. For this purpose, domestic and international discussions and surveys on technology developments and expert analysis smartphone technology were reviewed. And empirical data were collected from 600 people through structured questionnaires including smart-phone experience, smartphone usage behavior, the required content, service items, service quality, Through this information, the content of rural amenity resources, how to take advantage of smart phones. Service Plan and developed, and a rural village locations to target mobile phone technology, the content was established. Through the preference analysis of the collected data, we designed the contents of rural amenity resources information based on smart-phone. It will be helpful to enhance the interchange between urban and rural such as farmer's market and rural tourism.

융합과 복합이라는 컨버전스가 이슈가 되고 있는 가운데, 통신사업자들은 새로운 형태의 컨버전스 서비스를 통해 신규 수익원을 확보하고 이용자 편의를 증대시키고자 많은노력과 투자를 하고 있다. 하지만 학계, 산업계 일부에서는 이러한 컨버전스 서비스가 융합, 결합할 때 나타나는 기술적 결함과 기존 서비스 및 신규 서비스 간 대체, 보완 경쟁 등으로 그 수요가 틈새 시장 수준에 그칠 것이라는 우려를 나타내기도 한다. 컨버전스는 이미 통신시장의 새로운 패러다임으로 자리를 잡았으며, 정부도 IT839의 지속적인 추진과 발전을 위해 컨버전스 형태 서비스에 많은 관심을 보이고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 주요 컨버전스 서비스의 최근 동향을 살펴보고, 소비자 설문 조사를 통해 신규 컨버전스 서비스에 느끼는 효용과 중요도 분석을 하고 이를 바탕으로 사업자는 물론 고객들에게 보다 경쟁력 있는 컨버전스 서비스가 자리매김하기 위한 전략적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.
