Payments for Environmental (or Ecosystem) Services (PES) are emerging as new conservation policy tools. The basic concept underlying PES is that users pay to providers of environmental services for ensuring the continual provision of services based on the voluntary contracts. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the concepts and types of PES and to design a pilot PES scheme for biodiversity/ecosystem conservation on Genetic Reserve Forest in Korea. Genetic Reserve Forest is one of the protected areas designated in Korea to maintain forest biodiversity. PES is designed for the pine forests only in Genetic Reserve Forest, which corresponds to 943 ha. Service providers are to manage their forests based on the contracts in ways that maintain and enhance forest biodiversity and receive the payments in return. The payments are calculated as the sum of management, monitoring, and opportunity costs, resulting 1,140,378 won/year/ha (it corresponds to approximately $1,227 based on the 2007 average exchange rate 1$ = 929.2 won). Because PES are relatively new policies, however, more work needs to be done. Future work includes researches on the correlation between forest biodiversity and management practices and the economic evaluation of forest biodiversity. In addition, enhancing awareness on PES and education of stakeholders are warranted to further develop the scheme.

This study was executed to introduce a greenhouse style "Evergreen Park" to apartment complexes to target hands-on resident participation and application rather than a mere viewing of the plants as a way to provide convenient and profitable service to residents in a year-round center of usable outside space. The four key points can be summarized as follows: first, subtropical plants are evergreen broad-leaved trees, which maintain their green during all four seasons the leaves are thick and glossy. Greenhouses geared toward these subtropical trees-mainly broad-leaved evergreen species-are in planning to introduce these unique, elegant plants to temperate regions. Residentswill not only gain an education regarding these species but will be provided with the best quality evergreens at very reasonable maintenance costs. Second, subtropical plants greenhouses introduced in apartment complexes are suggested for structures connected via underground passage as well as free-standing structures so as to make use of geothermal heating and apply to reducing sunlighting. Third, as a way to provide (1) health & relaxation(evergreens, herb garden, water space), (2) community & education (plant flea market/plant hospital, plant-related lecture(exhibition), hands-on experience program), (3) a vine garden for year-round use such festivities as a Butterfly Festival, Aroma festival, Smile Oak Nuts, Candlelight Festival and Christmas Photo Site. Lastly, it has been suggested that the operation and maintenance of these greenhouses will be both by resident council operation management and by outsourcing company operation management.
Purpose - This study's objective is to analyze the content of the communications between users and producers based on the construal level theory. User generated content refers to content created in an online-based service where users and producers communicate interactively with each other. In a user generated content platform, the messages sent and received between the many players, the users and producers who use the content, may be analyzed at the psychological level based on construal level theory. Research design, data, and methodology - This study gathered user and producer participation through a snow-bowling sampling method. The data analyzed includes 125 video clips and 2,912 comments. The period of the data collection was from September 2014 to December 2014. The collected data was analyzed using a t-test and two-way ANOVA. Results - This study obtained the following research results. First, users who were a short social distance from producers responded to user participatory activities stated in concrete language rather than abstract language. In contrast, users who were at a longer social distance from producers tended to respond to the content requesting user participation through abstract language. Second, if users and producers were at a short social distance from each other, user preference increased more when a producer response to user participation was expressed concretely rather than when it was expressed abstractly. In contrast, if the users were at a longer social distance, users' preferences increased more when producer response was expressed abstractly rather than when it was expressed concretely. Conclusion - This study found that the effect of suitability, in which the social distance and the content were in congruence at the construal level, could be observed. Therefore, based on this, academic and practical implications were drawn. The three main insights of the study are as follows. First, firms can use psychological factors to analyze the message content of users in their distribution platforms. This study reveals managerial implications for marketing managers who want to take make use of this analysis of user and producer communications. This study indicates that the main factors include the concrete and abstract scores and social distance between users and producers. Second, we also provide the strategic guidelines to maximizing user preferences and other outcomes. The main dependent variable in this study is the user preference shift; the variable increases through the congruence effect; and the construal level is determined by the social distance between the users and producers and the type of producer response. The outcomes here from users can be utilized to develop several systemic strategies. One process to use the outcomes could be: (1) firms could measure the users and producers social distance; (2) calculate the concreteness or abstractness of the messages; and, (3) predict the user preference outcomes by the congruence between user and producer social distance and the abstractness or concreteness of the message content.

At this point, we must try to develop educational sites Not only to show information but also to offer a rich and entertaining time for kids while providing playful teaming and increased technological fluency. Despite the increase in the demands on collaboration between health and social welfare, the success of such schemes have been limited. The extant literatures tends to be dominated by explanations for needs or short-term outcomes of collaboration rather than systematic follow-up research to apply to the frontline. At the same time, there is no attempt to apply the theories related to collaboration in order to discuss the situation. This study explores the factors hindering such collaborative working in the frontline, through semi-structured interviews with practitioners involved in two pilot projects. A theoretical framework (Equilibrium Model-Sensemaking, E-S model) which combined Equilibrium Model of 'Interorganizational Network' of Benson(1975) and 'Sensmaking' of Weick(1995) for conceptualiing aspects of collaborations such as working atmosphere and agency was applied to the empirical study of the Public Health and Welfare Office(1995-1999) and the Social Welfare office(2004-2006) pilot projects. Data were collected over three months from 8 pilot project areas with practitioners and managers from health and social welfare. The findings show significant regional differences between pilot areas, such as the presence of active leaders and co-location, had a major impact on the ability of practitioners to effectively integrate services. In other words, active leaders tended to influence practitioners' motivation, while co-location encouraging communication between both practitioners, and thus seemed to influence the practices of collaborative working. Furthermore, through E-S model, it is interpreted that this kind of positive experiences about collaborations may impact on the current practitioners' comprehensive perspective towards health and social welfare services in general. The findings could help policy makers consider the practical ways to break down the barriers between health and social welfare.

The purpose of this study is to improve interaction with the construction subject by analyzing the contents and contents of users' involvement in landscaping works. For this purpose, this study selected the Gwanggyo Residential Land Development District Public Landscape Project in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. For four years before and after the completion, the opinions of tenants were used as research data. Both qualitative and quantitative analyses of 412 complaints received by the project implementation office and local government were conducted. As a result, first, the main purpose of suggesting opinions was 'demanding and expressing complaints', and there were many 'parks' and 'rivers'. In terms of content, "quality" was the most pointed out, but many kinds of trees, such as tree planting, ecological river construction, and pavement construction were also mentioned. Second, the extraction of key words from content analysis was the most common method. Followed by 'additional foodstuff' and 'moving to the toilet and management building'. Much of the point of view about dead wood has continued to be conspicuous in the process of waiting to be dealt with at the time of transplanting. Third, the validity of the contents of the complaints was evaluated as a five - point scale. Therefore, the opinions raised were unreasonable, but overall, there were more complaints with certain objectivity.

This study aims to identify priorities in book curation service that the teacher librarians perceive important through the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Progress) method by comparing the jobs of teacher librarians with those of curators and selecting the contents and areas of book curation service provided by school libraries. For the purpose, this study categorized the book curation service areas by class and analyzed the priorities in the book curation service areas in the school libraries by applying the AHP method on the teacher librarians who are the personnel in school libraries. As a result, the priorities in the upper-tier class were turned out to be information services, improvement of expertise, information resources, management, and promotion & marketing in that order. The priorities in the lower-tier evaluation areas were shown in the order of survey & research, Q&A, self-development, exhibition, budget allocation, connecting with experts, trend analysis, reading education, human resources, planning, collaboration class, marketing services, book status, online promotion, offline promotion, and facilities & environment. Based on the results, this study suggested the following plans to provide effective book curation services in school libraries: grasping characteristics of school library users, setting classification criteria for book curation, and finding reader participation-oriented book curation service.
The recent domestic toy market is filled with the fever of 'Turning Mecard' produced as a character product of units showing in . The toy market of the domestic character licensing industry has shown such rapidly changing trends during the period of broadcasting contents like animation or special films targeting children. Through these contents, the characters are cognized, and also the immersion and loyalty can be increased depending on the progress of the story, on top of marketing effect while the animation is broadcasted. This effect is called gamification meaning that consumers voluntarily participate in the contents after receiving fun. Through the purchase of character products, the immersion and loyalty participate in the animation. Thus, this study analyzed the gamification elements by examining the animation and toy products of currently gaining popularity in the toy market. In the results of the study, the story structure of has the sustainment just like game, which is connected to its character product. Therefore, the users who have watched build up the relationship with each other, and the competition and reward can be done through the game using the character products, which is connected to such high immersion and loyalty.
In this study, the authors examine the ways in which social media ultimately affects the attachment of individuals to their favorite brands. Through an analysis of data using multiple linear regression, this study finds that SNS (social networking site) users that post status updates for a wide audience have no bearing on the individual's use of socialization agents. Those who consume social news passively are, however, likely to depend on socialization agents for determining their final purchase decisions. Socialization agents, both personal and non-personal, also play a role in the formation of brand attachment among individuals who depend on these social sources. Based on these results, marketers are encouraged to establish an online footprint of a social nature to formulate brand awareness and to provide a means for users of social media to improve their brand attachments to their favored brands. As this research was conducted exclusively in the predominantly collective culture of South Korea, further studies could attempt to analyze social networking use and socialization agent use via a cross-culture study, particularly one including an individualistic culture.

The purpose of this study was to develop a measurement scheme that assesses organizational performances in library department unit level by applying PCSI model, a Public-service Customer Satisfaction Index. Specifically, this study adopted the Antecedent Model, a component of the PCSI's three-part model, that consists of a total of 12 service quality indices. The study selected a large-scale library as a case to analyze and design a method. We analyzed the library's organizational missions and goals set by each of its six departments, and then mapped them with each of the 12 service quality indices. This mapping was further developed as a work analysis scheme of the library and as a measurement tool. A total of 341 library users participated in a survey that was designed to assess 12 service quality indices. As a result service quality was measured for each index, which in turn, calculated the library's service performance index for both entire and individual units of the library. The results reveled the measurement tool useful in assessing service performances for both individual unit and the entire library.
