최근 들어 급속한 인터넷 사이트와 이용자들의 증가로 인해 많은 정보 제공 사이트들은 이용자들의 요구에 상응하는 정보를 제공하기 위하여 보다 이해하기 쉬운 그림, 도표, 차트 등의 그래픽으로 처리된 정보들을 생성하고 관리한다. 본 연구에서는 이용자들의 요구에 부합되며 인터넷 상에서 원격 관리가 가능한 실시간 차트서버와 차트 클라이언트, Java application 내부에서 처리되는 java chart component 등을 제안하고 설계 및 구현한다.

As social media marketing becomes prevalent, it is necessary to understand the administrative role of managers in promoting user engagement. However, little is known about how community managers enhance user engagement in social media. In this research, we study how managers can boost online user participation, including clicking likes and writing comments. Using the SUR (Seemingly Unrelated Regression) model, we find out that the active participation of managers increases user engagement of both passive (likes) and active (comments) ones. In addition, we find that the number of emotional words included in posts has a positive effect on the passive engagement whereas it negatively affects the active engagement. Lastly, the congruency between posts and comments positively affects users' passive engagement. This study contributes to prior literature related to online community management and text analyses. Furthermore, our findings offer managerial insights for practitioners and social media managers to further facilitate user engagement.

The road user cost in indirect costs as well as direct costs such as the inspection/ diagnosis cost and the repair/reinforcement cost should be considered as one of the important items in the life-cycle cost-effective design and maintenance of the bridges. To estimate the road user cost, this paper formulates the road user cost as a sum of the user delay cost and the vehicle operating cost considering the detour effect. A numerical traffic simulation and a regression analysis are performed to develop a regression model due to a time delay. The proposed regression model is applied to the generation of the maintenance strategy based on the life-cycle cost and performance, and its effectiveness and applicability is investigated. The road user cost has a great influence on establishing the maintenance strategy, and the proposed regression model could be successfully utilized to estimate the road user cost of a bridge.

Recently libraries are experiencing an increasing number of difficult patrons because of the increase in the unemployment rate and the problem of mental health in their communities. The problem behaviours of difficult patrons have negative influence to other users and staff in the library. This seems closely associated with the decline in the quality of library services. Therefore, in this study, we developed a how-to-do-it manual for library staff to meet the aforementioned challenges and to enhance the overall quality of library services for both general users and difficult patrons.

This study aims to develop the lesson plan of public library user education for children for the activation of user education. For the development of lesson plan, elementary school 3rd and 4th graders were selected as user education subjects through the literature survey, and orientation were derived as contents of user education. This study developed a lesson plan that applies Jonassen's constructivist learning environments to specifically design the librarian's role as teacher in user education with voluntary and subjective education participation of the children. Lesson plan was evaluated in terms of usefulness and appropriateness.

Today's information services in most archival institutions implement the same administrative procedures for general users and academic researchers, leading to issues hindering the latter's research activities. As such, this study presents a direction for the effective provision of information services by investigating and analyzing information sources mainly used by academic researchers, who are one of the major user groups; researchers' use behaviors in archival institutions; and experiences and perceptions on the such institutions' information services. In particular, surveys and interviews were conducted, and 75 questionnaire responses and 8 interview results were analyzed. The results of the analysis were summarized into the researcher's background information, information sources used, behaviors in using archival institutions' services, information service utilization, improvement requirements, and desired services. Through the results' implications, plans for the provision of information services by archival institutions were proposed based on the researchers' needs and preferences.

본 연구에서는 시소러스를 구축하기 위해 필요한 디스크립터 수집원으로써 이용자 로그데이터를 분석하여 후보 디스크립터의 외형적 특성을 분석하였다. 분석대상인 이용자 로그데이터는 국내 검색엔진가운데 야후와 라이코스를 대상으로 하였다. 분석결과, 이용자들은 대부분 검색어로써 명사와 복합명사를 사용하였으며, 조사 '의'이외에는 다른 품사로 이루어진 검색어는 거의 존재하지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 검색어로써 이용자들은 고유명사(외국어 포함)를 많이 사용함으로써, 국내외 지침에서 권고하는 고유명사의 최소한 사용지침과 실제 이용자 사이의 이용행태와의 차이를 알 수 있었다. 따라서 국내외 시소러스 개발지침을 수용하면서, 이용자 중심의 시소러스를 개발하기 위해서는 전거어나 유사어 사전을 대등관계와 연동하여 개발하는 것을 고려해야 한다.

In the digital library environment, user-librarian interaction is an essential echanism for dealing with user's information needs. This study, first, explores the importance of user-librarian interactions, and then a few types of interaction mechanisms are reviewed. A survey of the current trends in Korea is followed. finally, several ideas for activating user-librarian interactions are suggested with the purpose of giving effective information servicees.
