관계대수를 이용한 이산사건 시스템 모델링

  • 본 논문은 이산사건 시스템 모델링에 관계대수를 이용함으로써 이산사건 시스템 모델을 시뮬레이션 할 때 data consistency를 보장하는 방법을 다룬다. 복잡한 이산사건 시스템은 모델링 및 분석에 형식론적인 프레임웍이 필요하며 모델의 추상화와 재사용이 용이한 DEVS형식론이 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 DEVS 형식론으로 기술된 모델을 정보의 손상 없이 관계대수형 모델로 변환하여 관계대수형 이산사건 모델로써 이용하는 방법론을 제시한다.

Analysis of Detecting Effectiveness of a Homing Torpedo using Combined Discrete Event & Discrete Time Simulation Model Architecture (이산 사건/이산 시간 혼합형 시뮬레이션 모델 구조를 사용한 유도 어뢰의 탐지 효과도 분석)

  • Since a homing torpedo system consists of various subsystems, organic interactions of which dictate the performance of the torpedo system, it is necessary to estimate the effects of individual subsystems in order to obtain an optimized design of the overall system. This paper attempts to gain some insight into the detection mechanism of a torpedo run, and analyze the relative importance of various parameters of a torpedo system. A database for the analysis was generated using a simulation model based on the combined discrete event and discrete time architecture. Multiple search schemes, including the snake-search method, were applied to the torpedo model, and some parameters of the torpedo were found to be stochastic. We then analyzed the effectiveness of torpedo’s detection capability according to the torpedo speed, the target speed, and the maximum detection range.

Combined discrete event and discrete time simulation framework for the improvement of shipbuilding process planning (조선 공정 계획의 수립 완성도 향상을 위한 이산 사건 및 이산 시간 혼합형 시뮬레이션 프레임워크)

  • In this study, a simulation framework, which can support developing various simulation systems for the improvement of process planning in shipbuilding such as the block erection, the block turn-over, and so on, is proposed. In addition, a simulation kernel, which is a key component of the simulation framework, is implemented according to the concept of the combined discrete event and discrete time simulation. To evaluate the efficiency and applicability of the proposed simulation framework, it is applied to the block erection process in shipbuilding. The result shows that the proposed simulation framework can provide the consistent, integrated development environment for a simulation system, as compared with existing studies and commercial simulation systems.

Development of Battle Space Model Based on Combined Discrete Event and Discrete Time Simulation Model Architecture for Underwater Warfare Simulation (수중운동체 교전 시뮬레이션을 위한 이산 사건 및 이산 시간 혼합형 시뮬레이션 모델 구조 기반의 전투 공간 모델 개발)

  • This paper presents the battle space model, which is capable of propagating various types of emissions from platforms in underwater warfare simulation, predicting interesting encounters between pairs of platforms, and managing environmental information. The battle space model has four components: the logger, spatial encounter predictor (SEP), propagator, and geographic information system (GIS) models. The logger model stores brief data on all the platforms in the simulation, and the GIS model stores and updates environmental factors such as temperature and current speed. The SEP model infers an encounter among the platforms in the simulation, and progresses the simulation to the time when this encounter will happen. The propagator model receives various emissions from platforms and propagates these to other "within-range" platforms by considering the propagation losses and delays. The battle space model is based on the discrete event system specification (DEVS) and the discrete time system specification (DTSS) formalisms. To verify the battle space model, simple underwater warfare between a battleship and a submarine was simulated. The simulation results with the model were the same as the simulation results without the model.

Block Erection Simulation Using the Integrated System of Combined Discrete Event and Discrete Time Simulation Kernel (이산 사건 및 이산 시간 혼합형 시뮬레이션 커널의 통합 시스템을 이용한 블록 탑재 시뮬레이션)

  • Recently, requests for the accurate process planning using modeling and simulation technique are increasing in many engineering fields including shipbuilding industry. In this study, Combined DEVS(Discrete EVent System specification) and DTSS(Discrete Time System Specification) simulation kernel is developed, and an integration strategy of dynamics simulation module and graphics module is also implemented. To evaluate the efficiency and applicability of the simulation kernel and integration strategy, these are applied to the block erection simulation of offshore structures.

  • Recently, many high-rise buildings have been constructed, and are under construction. And a high-rise building with more than 100 floors is under planning. From site logistics management point of view, it is very important to manage vertical transportation of resource (e.g., material, equipment and construction labors) in high-rise building construction. The higher the building is constructed, the more important it is to manage for vertical transportation of it. In case of labors, vertical movement needs longer time in high-rise building construction than in low-rise. This results in low productivity and work efficiency of the construction. Therefore, this study presents a process of a vertical movement plan for labors using discrete-event simulation. And then the process applies to MT 130 project, which is a virtual high-rise building construction project.

A Method for Design of Discrete Variable Stochastic Systems using Simulation (이산형 변수 시스템의 설계를 위한 시뮬레이션 활용 기법 연구)

  • This paper deals with a discrete simulation optimization method for designing a complex probabilistic discrete event system. The proposed algorithm in this paper searches the effective and reliable alternatives satisfying the target values of the system to be designed through a single run in a relatively short time period. It tries to estimate an autoregressive model, and construct mean and confidence interval for evaluating correctly the objective function obtained by small amount of output data. The experimental results using the proposed method are also shown.

  • This paper proposes a digital controller for a nonlinear multi-input/multi-output(MIMO) system with time-delayed input. A nonlinear system with multi-input time delay is discretized using Taylor's discretization method, and the discretized system can be converted into a general nonlinear system. Consequently, general nonlinear controller synthesis can be applied to the discretized time-delay system We adopted MAC controller synthesis and verified the performance of the proposed method by conducting computer simulations. The results of the simulation showed that the proposed controller synthesis performs well and the proposed method is useful for controlling a nonlinear time-delay system.

Web-based Distributed Experimental Frame for Discrete Event Simulation System (이산사건 시뮬레이션 시스템을 위한 웹 기반 분산 실험 틀)

  • The problem of social phenomenon is getting more complicated than past decades, and the simulation engineers need more computation power to solve the problem. Therefore, the needs of the computational resources of the modeling and simulation environment are increasing. In the perspective of the simulation, it is necessary to allocate computational resources flexibly so that the simulation can be performed per the available budget range. As an alternative to the simulation environment to accommodate these requirements, cloud service has emerged as an environment in which computing resources can be used flexibly. This paper proposes a web-based simulation framework which consists of a front-end that reconstructs the simulation model using the web, and a back-end that executes the discrete event simulation. This paper also carried out a case study which shows web-based simulation framework has better overall runtime than standalone simulation framework.

  • 본 논문은 HVAC(heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) 시스템의 효율성과 안정성에 기초하여, 과열도와 저압을 제어하는 Multi Fuzzy 제어기 설계를 제안한다. HVAC 시스템은 Compressor(압축기), Condenser(응축기), Evaporator(증발기), Expansion Valve(확장 밸브) 로 구성되며, 각각의 기기에 대한 제어가 독립적으로 이루어져 있다. 기존의 제어가 한 제어기를 사용한 단일방식으로 이루어지다보니 HVAC 시스템의 특성인 냉매의 상태가 달라지면 시스템 전반적으로 그 영향이 파급되는 부분까지 고려를 해 주지 못하고, 제어기의 성능이 효율적이고 안정적이지 못했다. 본 논문에서는 HVAC 시스템의 효율과 안정도에 결정적인 영향을 미치는 파열도와 저압을 제어하기 위해, 비선형성이 강하고 불확실하며 복잡한 시스템을 쉽게 제어할 수 있는 Fuzzy 제어기를 구성하여, 3대의 Expansion Valve 와 1대의 Compressor 에서 동시에 제어하는 Multi 제어기를 설계한다. 제안된 Fuzzy 제어기는 이산형 lookup_table 방식과 연속형 간략추론 방식을 사용하여 제어기를 설계하고, 유전자 알고리즘(GAs)을 이용하여 최적의 Fuzzy 제어기의 환산계수를 구한다. 그리고 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 이산형 lookup_table 방식과 연속형 간략추론 방식의 각각의 제어기를 사용한 결과를 비교한다.
