This study utilizes deep learning algorithms to automatically classify construction waste into three categories: wood waste, plastic waste, and concrete waste. Two models, VGG-16 and ViT (Vision Transformer), which are convolutional neural network image classification algorithms and NLP-based models that sequence images, respectively, were compared for their performance in classifying construction waste. Image data for construction waste was collected by crawling images from search engines worldwide, and 3,000 images, with 1,000 images for each category, were obtained by excluding images that were difficult to distinguish with the naked eye or that were duplicated and would interfere with the experiment. In addition, to improve the accuracy of the models, data augmentation was performed during training with a total of 30,000 images. Despite the unstructured nature of the collected image data, the experimental results showed that VGG-16 achieved an accuracy of 91.5%, and ViT achieved an accuracy of 92.7%. This seems to suggest the possibility of practical application in actual construction waste data management work. If object detection techniques or semantic segmentation techniques are utilized based on this study, more precise classification will be possible even within a single image, resulting in more accurate waste classification
A poisoning accident is often caused by a situation in which people eat poisonous mushrooms because they cannot distinguish between edible mushrooms and poisonous mushrooms. In this paper, we propose an automatic mushroom recognition system by using the convolutional neural network. We collected 1478 mushroom images of 38 species using image crawling, and used the dataset for learning the convolutional neural network. A comparison experiment using AlexNet, VGGNet, and GoogLeNet was performed using the collected datasets, and a comparison experiment using a class number expansion and a fine-tuning technique for transfer learning were performed. As a result of our experiment, we achieve 82.63% top-1 accuracy and 96.84% top-5 accuracy on test set of our dataset.
The social consciousness on fake reviews has triggered researchers to suggest ways to cope with them by analyzing contents of fake reviews or finding ways to discover them by means of structural characteristics of them. This research tried to collect data from blog posts in Naver and detect habitual patterns users use unconsciously by variables extracted from blogs and blog posts by a machine learning model and wanted to use the technique in predicting fake reviews. Data analysis showed that there was a very high relationship between the number of all the posts registered in the blog of the writer of the related writing and the date when it was registered. And, it was found that, as model to detect advertising reviews, Random Forest is the most suitable. If a review is predicted to be an advertising one by the model suggested in this research, it is very likely that it is fake review, and that it violates the guidelines on investigation into markings and advertising regarding recommendation and guarantee in the Law of Marking and Advertising. The fact that, instead of using analysis of morphemes in contents of writings, this research adopts behavior analysis of the writer, and, based on such an approach, collects characteristic data of blogs and blog posts not by manual works, but by automated system, and discerns whether a certain writing is advertising or not is expected to have positive effects on improving efficiency and effectiveness in detecting fake reviews.
Artificial intelligence technology is developing in an environment where a lot of data is produced due to the development of computing technology, a cloud environment that can store data, and the spread of personal mobile phones. Among these artificial intelligence technologies, the deep neural network provides excellent performance in image recognition and image classification. There have been many studies on image detection for forest fires and fire prevention using such a deep neural network, but studies on detection of cigarette smoking were insufficient. Meanwhile, military units are establishing surveillance systems for various facilities through CCTV, and it is necessary to detect smoking near ammunition stores or non-smoking areas to prevent fires and explosions. In this paper, by reflecting experimentally optimized numerical values such as activation function and learning rate, we did the detection of smoking pictures and non-smoking pictures in two cases. As experimental data, data was constructed by crawling using pictures of smoking and non-smoking published on the Internet, and a machine learning library was used. As a result of the experiment, when the learning rate is 0.004 and the optimization algorithm Adam is used, it can be seen that the accuracy of 93% and F1-score of 94% are obtained.

In this paper, we propose a detailed component image classification algorithm by fashion item for unstructured data retrieval in the fashion field. Due to the COVID-19 environment, AI-based online shopping malls are increasing recently. However, there is a limit to accurate unstructured data search with existing keyword search and personalized style recommendations based on user surfing behavior. In this study, pre-processing using Mask R-CNN was conducted using images crawled from online shopping sites and then classified components for each fashion item through CNN. We obtain the accuaracy for collar of the shirt's as 93.28%, the pattern of the shirt as 98.10%, the 3 classese fit of the jeans as 91.73%, And, we further obtained one for the 4 classes fit of jeans as 81.59% and the color of the jeans as 93.91%. At the results for the decorated items, we also obtained the accuract of the washing of the jeans as 91.20% and the demage of jeans accuaracy as 92.96%.
Recently, there are increasing attempts to utilize deep learning methodology in the fashion industry. Accordingly, research dealing with various fashion-related problems have been proposed, and superior performances have been achieved. However, the studies for fashion style classification have not reflected the characteristics of the fashion style that one outfit can include multiple styles simultaneously. Therefore, we aim to solve the multi-label classification problem by utilizing the dependencies between the styles. A multi-label recognition model based on a graph convolution network is applied to detect and explore fashion styles' dependencies. Furthermore, we accelerate model training and improve the model's performance through transfer learning. The proposed model was verified by a dataset collected from social network services and outperformed baselines.

Avocado, a superfood selected by Time magazine and one of the late ripening fruits, is one of the foods with a big difference between local prices and domestic distribution prices. If this sorting process of avocados is automated, it will be possible to lower prices by reducing labor costs in various fields. In this paper, we aim to create an optimal classification model by creating an avocado dataset through crawling and using a number of deep learning-based transfer learning models. Experiments were conducted by directly substituting a deep learning-based transfer learning model from a dataset separated from the produced dataset and fine-tuning the hyperparameters of the model. When an avocado image is input, the model classifies the ripeness of the avocado with an accuracy of over 99%, and proposes a dataset and algorithm that can reduce manpower and increase accuracy in avocado production and distribution households.

Despite the continuous efforts to mitigate pedestrian accidents at crosswalks, the problem persist. Vulnerable groups, including the elderly and disabled individuals are at a risk of being involved in traffic incidents. This paper proposes the implementation of object detection algorithm using the YOLO v5 model specifically for pedestrians using assistive devices like wheelchairs and crutches. For this research, data was collected and utilized through image crawling, Roboflow, and Mobility Aids datasets, which comprise of wheelchair users, crutch users, and pedestrians. Data augmentation techniques were applied to improve the model's generalization performance. Additionally, ensemble techniques were utilized to mitigate type 2 errors, resulting in 96% recall rate. This demonstrates that employing ensemble methods with a single YOLO model to target transportation-disadvantaged individuals can yield accurate detection performance without overlooking crucial objects.
In this study, a model was developed to determine whether flooding occurred using image data, which is unstructured data. CNN-based VGG16 and VGG19 were used to develop the flood classification model. In order to develop a model, images of flooded and non-flooded images were collected using web crawling method. Since the data collected using the web crawling method contains noise data, data irrelevant to this study was primarily deleted, and secondly, the image size was changed to 224×224 for model application. In addition, image augmentation was performed by changing the angle of the image for diversity of image. Finally, learning was performed using 2,500 images of flooding and 2,500 images of non-flooding. As a result of model evaluation, the average classification performance of the model was found to be 97%. In the future, if the model developed through the results of this study is mounted on the CCTV control center system, it is judged that the respons against flood damage can be done quickly.

As interest on intelligent search engines increases, various studies have been conducted to extract and utilize the features related to products intelligencely. In particular, when users search for goods in e-commerce search engines, the 'color' of a product is an important feature that describes the product. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with the synonyms of color terms in order to produce accurate results to user's color-related queries. Previous studies have suggested dictionary-based approach to process synonyms for color features. However, the dictionary-based approach has a limitation that it cannot handle unregistered color-related terms in user queries. In order to overcome the limitation of the conventional methods, this research proposes a model which extracts RGB values from an internet search engine in real time, and outputs similar color names based on designated color information. At first, a color term dictionary was constructed which includes color names and R, G, B values of each color from Korean color standard digital palette program and the Wikipedia color list for the basic color search. The dictionary has been made more robust by adding 138 color names converted from English color names to foreign words in Korean, and with corresponding RGB values. Therefore, the fininal color dictionary includes a total of 671 color names and corresponding RGB values. The method proposed in this research starts by searching for a specific color which a user searched for. Then, the presence of the searched color in the built-in color dictionary is checked. If there exists the color in the dictionary, the RGB values of the color in the dictioanry are used as reference values of the retrieved color. If the searched color does not exist in the dictionary, the top-5 Google image search results of the searched color are crawled and average RGB values are extracted in certain middle area of each image. To extract the RGB values in images, a variety of different ways was attempted since there are limits to simply obtain the average of the RGB values of the center area of images. As a result, clustering RGB values in image's certain area and making average value of the cluster with the highest density as the reference values showed the best performance. Based on the reference RGB values of the searched color, the RGB values of all the colors in the color dictionary constructed aforetime are compared. Then a color list is created with colors within the range of ${\pm}50$ for each R value, G value, and B value. Finally, using the Euclidean distance between the above results and the reference RGB values of the searched color, the color with the highest similarity from up to five colors becomes the final outcome. In order to evaluate the usefulness of the proposed method, we performed an experiment. In the experiment, 300 color names and corresponding color RGB values by the questionnaires were obtained. They are used to compare the RGB values obtained from four different methods including the proposed method. The average euclidean distance of CIE-Lab using our method was about 13.85, which showed a relatively low distance compared to 3088 for the case using synonym dictionary only and 30.38 for the case using the dictionary with Korean synonym website WordNet. The case which didn't use clustering method of the proposed method showed 13.88 of average euclidean distance, which implies the DBSCAN clustering of the proposed method can reduce the Euclidean distance. This research suggests a new color synonym processing method based on RGB values that combines the dictionary method with the real time synonym processing method for new color names. This method enables to get rid of the limit of the dictionary-based approach which is a conventional synonym processing method. This research can contribute to improve the intelligence of e-commerce search systems especially on the color searching feature.
