Selective Encryption Scheme Based on Region of Interest for Medical Images (의료 영상을 위한 관심영역 기반 선택적 암호 기법)

  • For the patients' privacy, secure access control of medical images is essentially necessary. In this paper, two types of Region of Interest (ROI)-based selective encryption schemes are proposed, which concentrate on the security of crucial parts in medical images. The first scheme randomly inverts the most significant bits of ROI coefficients in several high frequency subbands in the transform domain, which only incurs little loss on compression efficiency. The second scheme employs a symmetric key encryption to encrypt selectively the ROI data in the final code-stream, which provides sufficient confidentiality. Both of two schemes are backward compatible so as to ensure a standard bitstream compliant decoder so the encrypted images can be reconstructed without any crash.

  • The proposed scheme is proposed secure transmission of fixed data and unstructured data among medical information transmitted in PACS. Unstructured data uses the AES encryption algorithm as sensitive data And transmitted using encrypted mosaic encryption techniques for the non-identification of medical images, which are regular data. In addition, we have experimented with increasing the key size for encryption. As a result, we did not notice any significant difference between 128 - bit size and 128 - key size even when encrypting the size of 196,256.

  • The increased popularity of multimedia applications places a great demand on efficient data storage and transmission techniques. Some methods have been proposed to combine compression and encryption together to reduce the overall processing time, but they are either insecure or intensive computationally. specially, they are unsuitable to wireless communication of mobile device. We propose a novel solution called partial encryption, We introduce quadtree and zerotree wavelet image compression in this paper, it reduces computation for date transmission in mobile device, and does not reduce the compression rate. In conclusion, the proposed partial encryption schemes are fast, secure, and do not reduce the compression performance of underlying compression algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose a random number generator PP(PingPong256) and a shuffle technique to improve the problem that the encrypted image is damaged due to a lot of noise by the channel coding of wireless communication recommended in the special environment of space. The PP can constantly generate random numbers by entering an initial value of 512 bits. Random numbers can be encrypted through images and exclusive logical computations. The shuffle technique randomly rearranges the image pixel positions while synchronizing the image pixel position and the random number array position and moving the random number arrangement in ascending order. Therefore, the use of PP and shuffle techniques in channel coding allows all pixels to be finely distributed and transmit high-quality images even in poor transmission environments.

  • Reversible data hiding is a technique to hide any data without affecting the original image. Zhang proposed the encryption of original image and a data hiding scheme in encrypted image. First, the encrypted image is decrypted and uses the fluctuation function which exploits the spatial correlation property of decrypted image to extract hidden data. In this paper, the new fluctuation function is proposed to reduce errors which arise from the process extracting hidden data and the performance is verified by simulation.

  • Sensitive data is encrypted and stored as privacy policy is strengthened through frequent leakage of personal information. For this reason, the cryptographically owned encrypted data is a very important analysis from the viewpoint of digital forensics. Until now, the digital evidence collection procedure only considers imaging, so hardware specific information is not collected. If the encryption key is generated by information that is not left in the disk image, the encrypted data can not be decrypted. Recently, an application for performing encryption using hardware specific information has appeared. Therefore, in this paper, hardware specific information which does not remain in file form in auxiliary storage device is studied, and hardware specific information collection method is introduced.

  • PDA 는 터치패드 방식의 문자 입력을 한다. 따라서 사용자에게 긴 입력을 요구할 때 불편한 환경을 제공한다. 따라서 이미지의 특정 지점을 마우스로 선택함으로 문자입력을 대신하여 인증을 함으로써 편리한 환경을 제공한다. 보안을 제공하기 위하여 초기 이미지에 따른 이미지의 배열 정보 및 입력된 값을 해시코드화 하여 인증 및 키교환이 안전하게 이루어진다. HASH와 SEED 암호화 알고리즘을 적용하여 효율적이고, 전송 메시지의 무결성을 보장하며 내부 참여자에 의한 정보 유출이 있더라도 안전한 전자지불 프로토콜 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

Reversible Secret Sharing Scheme Using Symmetric Key Encryption Algorithm in Encrypted Images (암호화된 이미지에서 대칭키 암호화 알고리듬을 이용한 가역 비밀이미지 공유 기법)

  • This paper proposes a novel reversible secret sharing scheme using AES algorithm in encrypted images. In the proposed scheme, a role of the dealer is divided into an image provider and a data hider. The image provider encrypts the cover image with a shared secret key and sends it to the dealer. The dealer embeds the secret data into the encrypted image and transmits encrypted shadow images to the corresponding participants. We utilize Galois polynomial arithmetic operation over 28 and the coefficient of the higher-order term is fixed to one in order to prevent the overflow. In experimental results, we demonstrate that the PSNR is sustained close to 44dB and the embedding capacity is 524,288 bits.

  • In this work, we propose an improved form of Zhang's reversible data hiding technique in encrypted image. In the original work, average value of neighboring pixels is used for fluctuation calculation which fails to give good performance. In proposed scheme, to reduce the bit error rate a new function is calculated by summing difference from four neighboring pixels for measuring fluctuation. Moreover, modified calculation of fluctuation function is also proposed where border pixels are considered. The simulation results show that the performance of proposed method outperforms Zhang's and Hong's work. From the results, more information can be sent by using proposed system
