알긴산칼슘 비드 상 흡착에 의한 흔적량 구리(II)와 납(II)의 동시 농축 및 정량 (Preconcentration and Determination of Trace Copper(II) and Lead(II) in Aqueous Solutions by Adsorption on Ca-Alginate Bead)

  • 수용액 중 흔적량 Cu(II)과 Pb(II)을 알긴산칼슘 비드에 흡착 농축시켜 정량하는 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 알긴산칼슘 비드는 시료용액에 일정량의 Ca(II)과 알긴산을 첨가하여 용액 내에서 형성되도록 하였다. 그리고 효율적인 흡착농축을 위해서 검토해야 할 수용액의 흡착 pH, Ca(II)의 농도, 알긴산의 양, 겔화 방지를 위한 에탄올의 농도, 흡착 평형시간과 탈착을 위해 사용하는 산의 종류 및 농도 등의 조건을 최적화하였다. 흔적량 Cu(II)과 Pb(II)이 포함된 시료 용액에 Ca(II)과 에탄올을 가한 후 용액의 pH를 5.0으로 고정하고, 알긴산을 첨가하여 알긴산칼슘 비드가 용액 내에서 형성되도록 하였다. 흡착 평형이 이루어지면 막 필터로 용액을 거르고, 걸러진 알긴산칼슘 비드를 소량의 완충용액으로 세척한 후 질산용액을 가하여 초음파 세정기에 넣고 역 분산시켰다. 역 분산을 위해 사용하는 탈착제로는 질산이 가장 좋았고, 이때 질산의 농도가 1.0 mol/L 이면 정량적으로 탈착되었다. 공존이온에 대한 방해효과를 Na(I), K(I) 및 Mg(II)에 대해 검토한 결과 Pb(II)에 대해서는 방해효과가 없었으나 과량 존재할 때 Cu(II)에 대해서는 흡광도를 감소시키는 방해를 야기하였다. 2가지 물 시료에 본 방법을 적용한 결과 $90.4{\sim}104.3%$의 회수율을 얻었으므로 수용액 중 흔적량 존재하는 Cu(II)과 Pb(II)을 분리 흡착 농축할 수 있는 효과적인 방법이라고 생각한다.

  • In TIG welding of pipe, back bead size monitoring is important for weld quality assurance. Many researches have been performed on estimation of the back bead size by heat conduction analysis. However numerical conduction model based on many uncertain thermal parameters causes remarkable errors and thermomechanical phenomena in molten pool can not be considered. In this paper, filler wire feeding force in addition to weld current, wire feedrate, torch travel speed and orbital position angle is monitored to estimate back bead size in orbital TIG welding. Monitored welding process variables are fed into an artificial neural network estimator which has been trained with the monitored process variables (input patterns) and actual back bead size (output patterns). Experimental verification of the proposed estimation method was performed. The predicted results are in a good agreement with the actual back bead shape. The results are quite promising in that estimation of invisible back bead shape can be achieved by analyzing the welding parameters without any conventional NDT of welds.

Al 5J32 합금의 레이저 용접에서 레이저출력 모듈레이션을 이용한 이면 험핑 비드의 안정화 (Prevention of Back Side Humping in Laser Welding of Al 5J32 Alloy by Using Laser Power Modulation)

  • In the 5xxx series Al-Mg alloy, magnesium addition can increase the strength of aluminum alloy by solid solution strengthening but it has a relatively low melting and boiling temperature. During full -penetration laser welding of the Al-Mg alloys, its low boiling point and high vapor pressure brings about the spiky humping bead on the bottom side. Under back-side shielding, the spiking of back bead can be reduced but it restraints the process flexibility. In this study, a square pulse waveform modulation was employed to stabilize keyhole and back bead surface without back-side shielding. By using an experimental design, the bead shapes were evaluated for various process parameters such as the focal position, welding velocity and waveform parameters and the smooth back bead shape could be achieved.

단락시간비를 이용한 GMAW의 비드 높이 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Bead Height Control of GMAW by Short Circuit Time Ratio)

  • This paper shows the experimental results controlling the height of surface and back bead in GMAW by analyzing the unexpected gaps between base metals produced in welding and by controlling welding velocity due to the variation of the gap between base metals in thin-plate welding. The back bead behavior and burn-through in I-type butt joint $CO_2$ welding of thin mild steel are analyzed in the views of short circuit time ratio and short circuit frequency. It is shown through experimental consideration that the short circuit time ratio method is more reasonable than the short circuit frequency method in analyzing the formulation of back bead under changing the gap between base metals. Based on the these results, welding manipulator is designed so as to satisfy the bead height control in real time by measuring the short circuit time ratio. To show the effectiveness of the developed bead formulation control system, the experiment is implemented under two welding conditions such as increasing gap from 0mm to 0.8mm and gradually increasing gap from 0mm to 1.2mm. The experimental results show that the bead formulation can be controlled uniformly in spite of the variation of the gap between base metals.
