WiBro는 IEEE 802.16에 이동성을 추가한 것으로서 현재 IPv4만을 지원하는데, IPv6를 적용할 경우 발생할 수 있는 문제점들은 최근에 이르러서야 이슈가 되고 있다. WiBro MAC은 IP 프로토콜 설계시 기본이 되는 이더넷과 많은 차이점이 존재한다. 망 구성요소들의 점대다(point-to-multipoint) 연결 형태와 상향링크 멀티캐스트 불가능으로 인해 정상적인 IP 멀티캐스팅/브로드캐스팅 동작이 어렵기 때문이다. 또한 이더넷과 같이 48비트 MAC 주소를 사용하는 것이 아니라 16비트 CID를 사용하기 때문에 IPv6를 적용할 경우 IPv6 Address Auto-Configuration, Neighbor Discovery, Duplicate Address Detection, Multicast Listener Discovery 등에서 정상적인 동작이 불가능하다. 이에 본 논문은 WiBro의 IPv6에서 MLD 프로토콜 적용방안과 무선자원을 효과적으로 사용하는 방법을 제시한다.

LTE는 3GPP Rel-8부터 시작되어 현재 Rel-13까지 진화해오고 있으며 앞으로도 계속해서 진화할 것으로 예상된다. LTE는 단말의 이동성을 제공하면서 단말과 무선 접속 망 사이에 수십~수백 Mbps 급 고속의 패킷 통신이 가능하도록 하는 기술이며, LTE를 이용해서 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 추가적으로 서비스 기술에 대한 표준화도 함께 고려가 되어야 한다. 공공안전사용기관인 주요 국가 정부를 중심으로 LTE을 공공안전용도로 사용 할 경우 최적 솔루션이 될 수 있음을 인지하고 3GPP 과제 제안을 통해, Rel-12부터 표준화를 시작하였다. 처음으로 표준화를 시작한 기술은 ProSe, D2D 및 GCSE이라는 기술이며, 2015년 3월에 완료되었다. 현재 진행 중인 Rel-13에서는 MCPTT, eProSe, eD2D, IOPS, MBMS_enh 기술에 대한 표준화가 진행 중이며 2016년 3월에 표준 완료 예정이다. 또한 2016년 3월부터는 Rel-14 표준화 기술로 선정된 MCVideo 및 MCData 표준화가 진행될 것으로 예상된다. 본 고에서 공공안전 용도로 특화되어 3GPP Rel-13 및 Rel-14에서 표준화가 진행되고 있는 주요 PS-LTE 기술의 표준화 현황과 계획에 대해 언급하고자 한다.

An authentication protocol for wireless mobile communication systems is proposed. The protocol employs the keyed hash function to provide mutual authentication and session key distribution. This makes the low computation power of mobile stations. To provide the security architecture with minimal assumption about the security of intermediate transport networks, this protocol has no assumptions about the security of the intermediate, fixed networks.

In this paper, we designed and implemented mobile object automatic system based on senor networks for telematics. For developing this system, we gather the various sensing data through wireless communication method using zigbee sensor networks and analyze them in monitoring equipment. And we enable the driver to recognize the car state information on the whole by interfacing analyzed data to telematics unit. And, we implemented automatic controller that can control temperature and humidity in car automatically by actuating air conditioner based on the data that was monitored throughout temperature sensor, humidity sensor and brightness sensor based on sensor networks.

Even though the emergency telecommunication make possible that specialist offers medical care over emergency cases in moving vehicle, we still have many problems in transmitting the image or video of patient over several wireless networks. To alleviate the effect of channel errors on compressed video bit-stream, this paper analyzed the error resilient features of JPEG2000 standard and measured the quality of transmission over noisy wireless channel, CDMA2000 1xEV-DO networks, compared to the features of error resilient tool of MPEG-4. We also proposed the optimum solution of transmitting images over real 3G network using JPEG2000 error resilient tool.

IEEE 802.16e has many points to be improved. Among them, fast handover is essential when user moves in high speed. In this paper we proposed a fast handover scheme using handover candidate BS set. This scheme is based on IEEE 802.16e, however according to the performance evaluation results through simulation; our proposed scheme shows more than 30% of handover delay reduction and at least 5% of handover drop probability improvement.

현재 사용되고 있는 CDMA 망에서 새로이 도입하고자 하는 동기식 IMT-2000과 비동기식 IMT-2000인 WCDMA을 제공하고자 하는 사업체들은 기지국 증설의 장소와 비용부담, 시스템 업그레이드 등의 유지보수 문제로 인해 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이를 해결 하기 위해 많은 회사 혹은 연구소에서 해결 방안을 연구 중이며 모든 이동통신을 하나의 시스템으로 서비스 할 수 있는 방법으로 SDR 기법이 많이 논의 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 주로 DSP 기술을 응용하여 SDR 기법을 시스템에 적용하여 하나의 시스템에서 소프트웨어 업데이트만으로 시스템의 물리계층을 제어하여 시스템의 유연성을 가지게 하는 구현방안을 CDMA/WCDMA을 중심으로 제시하였다.

모바일 애드 혹 네트워크의 제한된 자원과 다양한 토폴로지 변화 때문에 모바일 애드 혹 네트워크를 관리하고 QoS를 보장하기란 매우 어려운 일이다. 또한 현재까지 모바일 애드 혹 네트워크에서 QoS 보장에 대한 관심은 많지만, 그에 대한 연구는 아직까지 미비한 실정이며 주로 MAC 프로토콜과 라우팅 프로토콜에 집중되어 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 차등화 서비스(DiffServ) QoS 모델을 기반으로 하는 정책기반 망 관리 기술과 동적으로 네트워크의 기능을 확장할 수 있는 액티브 네트워크 기술을 이용하여 모바일 애드 혹 네트워크를 효율적으로 관리하고 QoS를 제공할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안한다.

휴대 단말기의 높은 보급률 및 무선 인터넷 망의 발달로 인해 휴대 단말기를 이용한 서비스가 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 이와 같은 서비스는 서비스를 받는 사용자의 인증을 필요로 한다. 다양한 서비스의 가입에 따른 사용자의 인증은 가입사가 인증하는 방안을 제시하고 있지만 접속하는 휴대 단말기를 사용하는 사용자에 대한 인증은 제공하지 않는다. 이로 인해 휴대 단말기의 도난이나 제삼자의 활용으로 휴대 단말기의 실질적 소유자가 피해를 입을 수 있다. 이에 휴대 단말기의 사용자 인증 서비스를 제공하고자 한다. 휴대 단말기의 사용자 인증은 휴대 단말기를 소지하고 있는 사용자, 또는 휴대 단말기를 활용하는 사용자가 실제 당사자인지를 확인하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 휴대 단말기의 서비스 제공업자(이동 통신회사)에 사용자의 패스워드를 등록하고 이를 활용하여 사용자 인증을 제공하는 방식에 대한 연구를 진행하였다.
