Short message service (SMS) is a Popular mobile data service in cellular networks. One SMS message can carry 50 Korean alphabets. Cellular operators standard and develop multimedia message service (MMS) based on P2P as color phones having multimedia solutions such as MIDI, MP3, JPG, PNG, and MPEG have been developed. MMS can be a key cash flow in the non-voice mobile revenue together with SMS. Copyrights protection of contents in a MMS message can be issued as MMS can be the popular P2P service such as MMS. In this paper, we propose MMS DRM system to protect copyrights of contents in MMS with the minimum change of MMS system. The proposed MMS DRM system protect copyrights of contents using DRM Packager, DRM Server, and DRM Agent and support various use cases to activates MMS in mobile networks.

최근 CDMA 방식에 기반을 둔 이동통신 시스템과 GPS, WLAN 등의 통신 시스템 시장은 전 세계적으로 급격히 팽창하고 있으며, 그 발전가능성은 무궁 무진하다. 특히, 개인 휴대 이동통신의 경우, 초기 아날로그 방식을 이용한 음성서비스에서 출발하여, 디지털 방식으로의 성능개선을 통해 가입자의 폭발적인 증가에 대응하고 다양한 콘텐츠를 제공하기 위한 대용량, 고속 신호처리를 실현하였다. 현재 무선 인터넷 및 멀티미디어 기능, GPS 기능을 탑재한 컬러 디스플레이 단말기가 전세계적으로 일반화되는 추세이며, 블루투스 시스템과의 연동을 통해 다양한 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 연구가 진행 중이다. 스마트 폰의 등장으로 인해 사용자들은 모바일 기기를 통해 언제 어디서나 인터넷 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 되었고 더불어 다양한 앱을 통해 기존에 PC에서 제공되던 서비스들이 모바일 기기로 이동하게 되었다. 이러한 변화는 TV시장에도 영향을 미치게 되었고 TV에서도 인터넷 서비스뿐만 아니라 다양한 앱 서비스를 이용할 수 있는 스마트TV 시대를 열게 되었다. 스마트 TV시스템은 방송망과 인터넷 망을 통해 사용자에게 보다 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 되었으나 각 인터넷 콘텐츠 제공자가 앱 형태로 콘텐츠를 제공함으로써 다양한 콘텐츠 제공자로부터 사용자가 원하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 검색하는 데에 한계가 있었다. 본 논문은 사용자 키워드 검색문 의미해석을 통해 서로 상이한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 메타데이터 정보 구조를 가지고 있는 콘텐츠 제공자들이 효과적으로 검색결과를 제공할 수 있는 스마트TV통합검색시스템에 대하여 기술한다.

3G 이동통신 시스템 표준화 단체인 3GPP ($3^{rd}$ Generation Partnership Project)와 3GPP2 ($3^{rd}$ Generation Partnership Project 2)는 이동통신망에서의 무선 IP 멀티미디어 서비스 확산을 위하여 유선 인터넷의 핵심 응용 서비스인 실시간 서비스를 도입하기 위한 표준화 작업을 진행하고 있다. 그리고, 현재 개발 중인 HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access)와 IMS (IP Multimedia CN Subsystem)는 궁극적으로 All IP 기반 광대역 멀티미디어 서비스 제공을 추구하고 있으며 Parlay API(Application Programming Interface)를 이용한 다양한 $3^{rd}$ party 응용서비스 제공 환경을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 고에서는 HSDPA 및 IMS를 포괄하는 All IP관련 표준화 현황을 조사하고 나아가 IMS와 HSDPA 기반 서비스 진화에 대한 고찰을 통해 향후 이동통신 서비스의 개발 방향을 예측해 보고자한다.

이동통신은 아날로그 음성을 전달하는1세대의 아날로그 이동 전화로부터 시작하여 2세대의 디지털 이동통신에서는 디지털 음성 전화 및 단문서비스를 제공하였으며, 3세대 이동통신시스템인 IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunications-2000)으로는 동기 방식 cdma2000과 비동기 방식의 W-CDMA에서는 2Mbps급 이상의 데이터 서비스를 제공한다. 현재 서비스 중이거나 계획 중인 WCDMA, cdma2000 1x,cdma2000 1x EVDO와 EVDV는 이동 멀티미디어 서비스의 제공을 목표로 설계되었으나, 현재 이들 3세대 시스템은 2세대 시스템에 비하여 기술적으로 진보된 개념들을 도입하였음에도 불구하고, 서비스 제공 관점에서 2세대 시스템과의 차별화에 성공적으로 대처하지 못하고 있고, 2세대 시스템이 이동전화 서비스를 제공하는데 있어 용량 부족의 문제가 없으므로 사업자들이 신규 투자에 매우 소극적인 상황이다.(중략)

LBS가 기본적으로 이동통신 기지국과 위성위치확인시스템(GPS:Global Positioning System)을 통해 개인이나 차량의 위치 정보를 파악하고, 이를 기반으로 각종 첨단 서비스를 제공하다보니, 이통사의 핵심 서비스로 발전되고 있는 것은 틀림없다. 특히 과거 국방.교통.물료 및 환경 분야에서 사용되던 GPS기반의 LBS기술이 이동통신망과 연결되면서 대중적이고 일반적인 서비스로 발전해 나가고 있어 향후 이통사들의 먹거리로 손색없다는 평가를 받고 있다.

장소와 시간에 무관하게 누구와도 하나의 단말기로 멀티미디어 통신을 할 수 있게 하기 위한 이동통신 시스템이 단일표준으로 되지 못하고 복수표준으로 진행됨에 따라 이종의 접속망들로 구성되는 융합망이 불가피하게 되었다. 이러한 융합망 환경에서는 멀티미디어 서비스의 지속성을 유지하기 위한 QoS 보장 방안이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 세션의 지연이나 손실 등을 지속적으로 관찰하고 계약된 SLA 의 QoS 기준 만족 여부를 평가하고 이를 바탕으로 이종 망 내에서의 QoS 적응 및 조정을 수행함으써 멀티미디어 서비스의 QoS 를 유지하는 방안을 제안한다.

Advances in wireless network are enabling the development of ubiquitous multimedia services. These multimedia services need efficient platforms to comply with the requirements of mobile computing. We introduce an adaptive service platform based on mobile agent and grid systems while specifying the challenges of ubiquitous multimedia services and focusing on frequent disconnections and scarce resources. We applied our platform to framework RtoA (Ready-to-Attend) which supports mobile users to access compute-intensive multimedia service, specifically, mobile education and video conferencing. RtoA includes hand-off, speaker and listener service which enable people to attend a conference or a class with satisfying quality of multimedia service. ns-2 based simulation verifies that our scheme is an efficient way to reduce energy consumption of mobile devices and to improve the response time of mobile applications.

This paper supposes an QoS supporting method based on an efficient subchannel allocation in OFDMA systems. The objective of this paper is to maximize the system throughput while satisfying QoS requirements of mobile multimedia services, comprising real-time and non-real-time services. The resource management for handover are necessary to maintain the QoS requirements of different multimedia applications because the service continuity may be defected by some delay and information loss.

It is important matter that inflect well allocated frequency resource in cellular network and is still more serious element in environment that provide multimedia services. This paper describes model and algorithm that increase two elements that is frequency allocation and job scheduling that consider multimedia service traffic special quality by emphasis that do mapping present in CDMA cellular system. We proposed the model composed three parts (channel allocation algorithm, mapping algorithm and scheduling algorithm) and simulation results.
