  • 센서네트워크 기반의 위치 인식 시스템은 주변 센서 노드들로부터 거리 정보를 받아 위치를 산출한다. 현재 위치 인식 시스템에서 비콘 주기는 이동성을 고려하지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 비콘 주기에 따른 수신 데이터양과 이동성에 따른 거리 산출 성능을 실험을 통해 분석하였다. 이러한 실험을 통해 짧은 비콘 주기에서는 수신 데이터가 증가하지만 고속의 이동 환경에서는 에러율이 급격히 증가함을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이동성에 따라 비콘 주기를 변화시켜 실험을 수행하고, 수신된 데이터의 에러율과 유효 데이터를 근거로 속도에 따라 비콘 주기를 조절할 필요성이 있음을 확인 하였다.

  • This paper introduces an adaptive time-based location update scheme that dynamically determines when to perform location update based on moving distance of mobile station and incoming call arrival probability using fuzzy logic. Comparison with other schemes demonstrate that proposed scheme adapts well to the environment where the characteristics of mobility pattern of mobile station is changed all the time, and reveals better performance in the aspect of network signaling load.

  • The study aims to propose the intelligent clustering technique that calculates the distance by improving the problems of multi-hop clustering technique for inter-vehicular secure communications. After calculating the distance between vehicles with no connection for rapid transit and clustering it, the connection between nodes is created through a set distance vale. Header is selected by the distance value between nodes that become the identical members, and the information within a group is transmitted to the member nodes. After selecting the header, when the header is separated due to its mobility, the urgent situation may occur. At this time, the information transfer is prepared to select the new cluster header and transmit it through using the intelligent cluster provided from node by the execution of programs included in packet. The study proposes the cluster technique of the intelligent distance estimation for the mobile Ad-hoc network that calculates the cluster with the Store-Compute-Forward method that adds computing ability to the existing Store-and-Forward routing scheme. The cluster technique of intelligent distance estimation for the mobile Ad-hoc network suggested in the study is the active and intelligent multi-hop cluster routing protocol to make secure communications.

Estimation of Displacements and Velocities of Objects from Soccer Image Sequences (축구 영상 시퀀스로부터 물체 이동거리와 속도 측정)

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm which estimates the displacements and velocities of objects in the soccer field from the soccer image sequences. Assuming the time interval of an object movement is given, we transform the object positions into those in the soccer field model and compute the distance and the velocity. When four corresponding pairs of the feature points, such as the crossing points of the lines in the soccer field, exist and three of them are not on a line, we transform the object positions in the soccer image into those in the soccer field by using the perspective displacement field model. In addition, when the soccer image has less than four feature points, we first transform the object positions into those in the image which has more than four feature points, and then transform the positions into those in the soccer field again. To find the coordinate transformation between two images, we estimate the panning and zooming for consecutive images in the sequence. In the experimental results, we quantitatively evaluated the estimation accuracy by applying our algorithm to the synthetic. soccer image sequences generated by graphic tools, and applied it to the real soccer image sequences for broadcasting to show its usefulness.

Application of Euclidean Distance Similarity for Smartphone-Based Moving Context Determination (스마트폰 기반의 이동상황 판별을 위한 유클리디안 거리유사도의 응용)

  • Moving context determination is an important issue to be resolved in a mobile computing environment. This paper presents a method for recognizing and classifying a mobile user's moving context by Euclidean distance similarity. In the proposed method, basic data are gathered using Global Positioning System (GPS) and accelerometer sensors, and by using the data, the system decides which moving situation the user is in. The decided situation is one of the four categories: stop, walking, run, and moved by a car. In order to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed scheme, we have implemented applications using several variations of Euclidean distance similarity on the Android system, and measured the accuracies. Experimental results show that the proposed system achieves more than 90% accuracy.

  • This study is to analyze collection factor of food wastes using GIS. For calculation of collection crews and equipment, It was measured velocity(43m/min), moving coefficient(1.9), moving distance(17,200/day), collection rate(0.313kg/day) on the basis of S2Dong. Moving coefficient was able to analyze straight distance of S2Dong using GIS and other areas were also applied to analyze straight distance of each area using same method. At N autonomous district, 10 persons of collection crews were necessary, but collection of food wastes by four forces resulted to be 11 persons of crews necessary. 7 vehicles were necessary, but 8 vehicles were needed by same reason.

  • Navigation system based on indoor location estimation is one of the core technologies in mobile robot systems. Wireless sensor network has great potential in the indoor location estimation due to its characteristics such as low power consumption, low cost, and simplicity. In this paper we present an algorithm to estimate the indoor location of mobile robot based on wireless sensor network and fuzzy modeling. ZigBee-based sensor network usually uses RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) values to measure the distance between two sensor nodes, which are affected by signal distortion, reflection, channel fading, and path loss. Therefore we need a proper correction method to obtain accurate distance information with RSSI. We develop the fuzzy distance models based on RSSI values and an efficient algorithm to estimate the robot location which applies to the navigation algorithm incorporating the time-varying data of environmental conditions which are received from the wireless sensor network.

  • Recently many researchers have focused on management of Historical trajectories of moving objects in Euclidean spaces due to numerous sizes of accumulated data over time. However, the movement of moving objects in real applications generally has some constraints, for example vehicles on roads can only travel along connected road networks. In this paper, we propose an indexing method for trajectories of moving objects on road networks in order to process the network-based spatiotemporal range query. Our method contains the connect information of road networks to use the network distance for query processing, deals with trajectories which are represented by road segments in road networks, and manages them using multiple R-trees assigned per each road segment. Furthermore, it has a structure to be able to share R-tree among several road segments in large road networks. Consequently, we show that our method takes about 30% less in node accesses for the network-based spatiotemporal range query processing than other methods based on the Euclidean distance by experiments.

  • 한의학 진단의 중요 요소인 맥진을 자동화한 맥진기에서뿐만 아니라 비관혈적 심혈관 기능 평가를 위해서 요골동맥 맥파 측정이 널리 활용되고 있다. 요골동맥 맥파는 피험자의 생리적, 병리적 원인을 통제하더라도 가압력이 변함에 따라 형태가 달라지며, 어느 시점 맥파를 피험자의 상태를 대표하는 맥파로 해야 할지에 대한 명확한 기준이 없어 맥압이 최대가 되는 시점의 맥파를 사용하고 있다. 그러나, 맥파가 측정되는 가압력 범위뿐만 아니라 맥압이 최대가 되는 시점이 피험자마다 다르기 때문에 정확한 대표 맥파를 획득하기 위해서는 보다 가압력 단계를 늘려야 하며, 결과적으로 측정시간이 보다 길어지게 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 최소한의 가압단계로도 보다 정확히 대표 맥파를 획득할 수 있는 방법을 개발할 수 있도록, 정밀 제어가 가능한 가압 로봇 축, 가압에 의해 눌리는 피부이동 거리 측정을 위한 레이저 센서, 가압에 따른 피부 반발력과 맥파를 측정할 수 있는 압력 센서로 구성된 테스트 지그를 개발하였다. 이를 통해 모터 이동 스텝 수에 따른 피부 이동 거리 특성, 피부 이동 거리에 따른 맥파 변화 특성 등을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 향후 효과적인 대표 맥파 획득 방법을 개발할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • 최근 중소 테마파크들은 방문객의 감소로 인한 운영의 어려움을 겪고 있다. 새로운 어트랙션의 도입 및 테마파크의 리뉴얼을 통해 방문객 증가를 유도하기에는 천문학적인 비용이 소요된다. 이런 비용 소모는 운영 업체의 입장에서 부담하기 쉽지 않은 구조로 새로운 방법으로 방문객의 재방문률을 높일 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 대표적인 방안으로 최근 높은 관심으로 인해 관련 기술 및 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는 VR 시스템의 어트랙션 적용이 있다. 많은 움직임이 없고 안정적인 속도로 운영되는 어트랙션에 VR의 콘텐츠를 적용하여 사용자의 탑승률을 높이고 이로 인해 재방문률 또한 증가 시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료되어 많은 접근이 시도되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 어트랙션의 탑승자에게 몰입감 높은 VR 콘텐츠 제공을 위해 탑승한 어트랙션의 움직임과 VR영상을 동기화 하는 매칭 모듈에 대해 제안한다. 제안하는 모듈은 가속도 센서의 움직임에 따라 1차 적분하여 속도를 산출하고 이를 2차 적분하여 거리를 산출한다. 기존의 가속도 센서를 통한 이동거리 판단에는 칼만 필터를 적용한 오차 보정, 다분화 사다리꼴 적분 등의 연산이 필요하지만 본 논문의 고정 어트랙션에서는 탑승체의 방향이 결정되어 있어 최소화된 연산으로 정확한 이동거리를 판단할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
